Sue and Van left wonderful instructions for lovingly caring for the cats and the house. We so enjoyed the stay, the view, and experiencing the northern part of the Hudson Valley and western Massachusetts. We also had fun communicating back and forth with Sue and Van as they enjoyed their days away. We would return in a heartbeat!
While it has taken nearly twelve months to achieve a house sit (we are foster carers and look after three children who are well behaved) after successfully arranging a sit we were very pleased with the results. We found the owners to very hospitable and were a pleasure to work with. They had a beautiful home with gorgeous pets, we never found it a chore and made lots of happy memories, so for that we thank Trusted House Sitters. My only gripe is it took so long to arrange a sit but then unlike our friends who are Trusted House Sitters and started roughly the same time as us who are also foster carers have found it relatively easy to arrange sits 10+ and still counting, they are constantly checking the site, so maybe there lies the answer. We will be renewing.
Excellent professional site which works very well. House Sitting is an activity which requires confidence on the part of the house owner and the house sitter. While no system is perfect this site works exceptionally well and I am confident and pleased to use it. The calibre of householders is good in my experience which makes for a comfortable and successful sit.

Though the website and app are still in development, it is worth navigating the somewhat lackluster user experience in exchange for the benefits offered. I've see a lot of improvements and know they'll get there with their UI and platform over time.

Our experience has been fabulous with this business! The way it works is very clear -- in equal exchange for house/pet sitting, you receive a place to stay (or vice versa). We have viewed hundreds of potential sitting requests all over the world. The ones that interest us and to which we can commit the time, we have applied for. It is a great way to travel, learn how the locals live, and meet some incredible people. We love the flexibility, the possibilities, and most of all the community of people who use this resource.
Trustedhousesitters is an excellent concept (idea). We would do it more early, but it wa a bit difficult to combine with our job. Now that Lut & I are both retired we have had a good Housesit in England, friendly home-owners where we stay, for us a win-win situation, thank you from Luc &Lut
I just did my first sit and loved it. It's a win-win deal. The owners left reassured, and I took care of the pets and garden, while discovering a new place. No money involved, once you've paid the annual fee. I love it.

As two retired people on a modest pension, this business unables us to travel and to stay free of charge in some very nice homes, looking after family pets and allowing us to discover places and locations where we would never previously have thought of going. We recently discovered the delightful Portsunlight on the Wirral ( England) and into the bargain, have met some very friendly people as well as their delightful pets. I've been a member of Trusted Housesitters for a few years and really like the way I can find lovely pets to look after, in a safe environment, as I'm a solo traveller. I would dearly love a dog but this isn't possible so this way I have the pleasure of their company whilst staying in some lovely homes. You can find sits, almost anywhere in the world - try it, you'll love it!
