My wife and I put down a deposit on a bulldog puppy from Melissa M. Brown and her company (TRUEGABULLDOGS) on 12/17/14. We were promised 3rd pick of the next litter. Unfortunately only one puppy was born in the next litter and the only puppy born died slightly after birth. Melissa asked if we would like to get our deposit back or move our deposit to another upcoming litter. We elected to have our deposit rolled over to another litter.
After this point we received no communication from Melissa regarding the birth of anymore puppies. After several months to almost a year of no communication we asked if we could have our deposit back due to clear violation of the signed contract on her behalf. She simply wrote back to us stating that no refunds would be given. Essentially we paid the money for a good and we never received our "product."
Had we been offered some sort of litter date of birth or given sometime of idea when the puppies would be born then the fault would have been on us for trying to back out of a contract that depicted intent to purchase. However due to her lack of communication and customer service we have been cheated.
