Quad for the beginner on the market bar none. I don't know alot about the tech behind these motors but these do have power to punch and smooth characteristics. The app was real easy to download as you just scan the QR code from one of the two manuals included. I chose the version with the controller. The gimbal feel really nice compared to the likes of other comparatively priced products like syma X5 c etc. It has return to home and this is great if you panic and loose sight of it. Today the sun was shining bright and it was hard to see my phone to control the drone and this is the best selling point of the controller as it's a must have! The battery fits in neatly and as far as I can tell it's a 7.4 volt 600mah battery. The battery goes into these two little pins that on there own would seem like they would break but the housing guides it in nice. I think this could be modded as there is room inside for a different battery I will be going out tomorrow before the sun gets bright so I can test out the video quality feature to see if it's 720p as I know many await those answers
