Tesco Finest Kitchens and Bathrooms Scam. Rip off, non accountable for extracting thousands of pounds from trusting customers! I ordered and paid for a Tesco Finest Bathroom. The installation team were due to arrive first thing this morning. When no one arrived, i contacted Mark II the installation organisation, to be told that Tesco had cancelled their contract with Mark II last Tuesday and that they would not be sending anyone to fit my new En Suite bathroom. I now have a none operational Bathroom, the new bathroom components blocking my bedroom. I have spoken to Tesco Customer Services who assure me that they will reply to my concern by Friday (5 days after the planned installation). I have spoken to Mark II and they say they are awaiting instruction from Tesco and are unable to act until Tesco confirm their plans. Who do I have issue with? Tesco who I ordered an new bathroom through? Mark II who I paid significant thousands of pounds to? No one is accepting responsibility> Can any one help? I know there are hundreds of people out there who ordered either a Kitchen or Bathroom, thinking they had the Tesco guarantee, who now have neither an operational Kitchen or Bathroom. This is a scandal and Tesco need to be made accountable for putting their trusted brand to this service. END

I purchased a tesco bathroom suite in January. After providing all my contact information and completing the purchase I was sent an email with delivery information. I was informed that a member of staff would call me to arrange delivery. This did not happen. I had to call Tesco to query the delivery date and time - as I had not been contacted, this call took place in March, two months after I placed my order. Fortunately I was not in a hurry to install the new bathroom. I arranged delivery for the week of the 23rd March, I was told the bathroom would arrive within 7 days prior to the 23rd. I was also informed that I would receive a text the night before my arranged delivery date. Therefore I confirmed my mobile number with the member of staff. This would have been most helpful in order for me to plan my day around the delivery, however, I never received such a text.

On the afternoon of 30th March I returned from the gym to find a bathroom suite at the rear of my house. I'm sure you can imagine my surprise given that it was 7 days after my expected delivery date and I had received no text message to inform me of the delivery.

Today (17 April 2012) I have a plumber here to install the bathroom suite. The following faults have been noted:

1. Upon opening the packaging to the bath panel we discovered there was a small crack at the bottom of it, however this wont affect it's purpose and will not be seen once it is in place so it didn't bother me too much.

2. On unpacking the cistern we discovered that the inside of the lid was broken. There was an amount of porcelain broken off of the lip which holds it in place. Again, the part will still function despite the break and it won't be seen.

3. We then discovered that the parts (washers) which connect the cistern to the base of the toilet are the wrong size.

4. On top of that we then discovered that the screws which secure the toilet to the floor had not been included. Fortunately these screws and the washers can be replaced at the expense of my plumber and myself.

As I am now keen to have the suite fitted, I don't have the time or money to be sending it back and/or ordering a replacement or replacement parts. However, I am sure you will agree that this "service" has been unacceptable, nor should I (the customer) be expected to source the missing parts.

Furthermore I paid £50 extra for this bathroom suite to be left around the back of my house one week after I was told to expect it and without being given any notice of delivery. This is a disgrace.
