I purchsed a bike for thousands of dollars from Technogym, and it has been such a terrible experience. They are very eager to accept your money without providing any service; it has taken over three weeks just to get someone to respond to an email and speaking to seven customer service representatives, only for the email i received to be a referral to a third party, not Technogym, becuase Technogym can not provide any support in Australia. I wish I bought a Peleton!
Purchased Technogym myrun. Machine failed after a year. 5+ engineer visits, multiple replaced parts made the machine worse. Months of chasing on email to get it resolved, I was eventually accused of having spilt an unidentified liquid on the machine off the back of someone in Italy reviewing photos (?!) without any evidence to support. Still unresolved as yet. Strongly advise anyone considering purchasing an item to reconsider. Avoid this company and all of its products - I certainly will be.
The frame is solid, and the mechanics well balanced, BUT when the touch screen gets wet from sweat, the treadmill will spontaneously speed up, slow down, incline of flat out shut down completely on the runner. It's beyond frustrating or disruptive, it's a safety hazard. Don't know how the techno experts could so completely miss that people sweat when they work out, but they did. My Fitness club has dozens of these and over a year I've encountered the same problem on practically everyone. Serious runners, should run away from these machines and buy another brand. Technogym treadmills could actually cause you injury do to this fault.
Bought a Bike Forma in 2017 for £2,000. Saddle has been uncomfortable from the start so recently enquired about a an alternative replacement. Was told almost £400! Asked them why it's so expensive, they said it's top quality. So are saddles from wiggle.com at 1/4 price. More Italian profiteering.
I also purchased this highly rated Company's treadmill (at the time), and I paid for an extended warranty, however, even though the warranty is still valid, Technogym are trying to squirm out of their responsibilities by claiming that the belt needing replacing is due to wear and tear...! My wife and I weigh less than 70kgs each and use the treadmill moderately to light as we are over 55. I am not impressed to say the least, especially as I specifically paid for additional insurance on this (supposedly) highly reputable and reliant product!
Do not purchase anything from this company. They will scam you and do it with a smile. Terrible sales team that will tell you whatever they want without having to honor it. They have shady business practice. Technogym will insert hidden contracts. Do not use this company!
I lost out on over $10,000 by this company. Then they tried to sell me more options! What a terrible company. Beware, beware, beware.
Bought the treadmill during pandemic a couple years ago. Had to call service several times due to frequent issues. As time went one more and more random faults and out right shut offs in a middle of a run. Now shortly after warranty is up it completely shuts down and doesn't turn on and displays nothing but an error shown in the photo. I didn't even put nearly the amount of miles on it to warrant this effect. This treadmill had promise because of the integrations with TrainingPeaks and Zwift but it's clear this was rushed and for the money, you likely won't make it back in usage. Very disappointed and a big loss of a great deal of money.
I was looking to buy a new brake board $495 in the middle of April 2020. Yes, I know there was a lot going on in the world but it took until May 26 for me to get the part. In order for me to get the part I had to contact customer service several times, use social media and emailing consistently. This part was incompatible with my technogym wave machine according to the second tier salesman. Was told may 28th I would receive a refund the next day along with a UPS tracking number to send the brake board. I was then trying to contact anyone that I could since the salesman refused to email me back. I finally was able to contact someone and it took me until July 17 to get my refund only two weeks after they received the brake board. Completely unacceptable customer service!
We had a smoothline treadmill for a decade and when it started sounding like Thomas the Tank Engine, decided to upgrade it - 6 months ago. After 6 months of research, we finally opted for the expensive Technogym MyRun.
It arrived last week. It looks amazing and doesn't fill up the room like the Smoothline did. It's really quiet and the MyRun app, may not be perfect (running programmes have a start date of next week rather than the date you start because the app wants you to start at the beginning of a week rather than mid-week Harrods thought which makes sense) but the rest of it is awesome.
It pairs well with the polar heart rate monitor OH1 which you wear on your arm (Techogym after sales suggested it) and the Zwift app.
We did have a learning curve issue with the MyRun app pairing but both Technogym technical department (Sarah) and Technogym in Harrods (when you're ringing out of office hours) were very helpful.
We then had a small issue with a fuse tripping but Technogym have the spare part and are coming within 24 hours of being informed to resolve this and on Christmas Eve - which is amazing after sales service.
I would only buy Technogym from now on.
