After what I have seen, I don't trust brick and mortar banks anymore. If they think they can steal from you and get away with it, they will do so. Nothing exists to stop them. My economy impact payments were sent to me via this wonderful card, because I don't have a bank account.
It was a convenient way to pay for everything. Funny story, I put this card in a drawer and forgot it existed. I found it earlier this year while looking for something else. I called the number to check the balance. I was informed I had $65 dollars left on the card. I decided to buy lunch. The purchase was declined. I called the number on the back of the card. I explained what happened. It was explained to me,due to inactivity, my card was locked. When I checked the balance, I forgot to request my card be reactivated.
I laughed at myself and requested my card be reactivated. The payment went through that time.
