HORRIBLE BANK I DETEST
December 9, 2024

I had the Sam's card, chose to get a plus membership. While paying extra $50 dollars for total of $100. I was asked if I wanted to apply for a Sam's credit card? I agreed & was told I had been approved for $1,000.00 & that I'd soon receive a card in mail. Fine I received & used throughout 2022-2023 I reached $890 paid it off before end of month (bought $823. Tires) everything was going well until. I placed home delivery option, was having health issues. The person taking my order said there was a delivery charge? I said I was a Plus member? This was a deal breaker for me I was already paying extra for the membership. I canceled my Plus membership in October 2023, in November I received a notification from synchrony Bank that my credit card was now $130.00 from $1,000.00? The bank employee lied said that Sam's was changing amount of value on my card? I contacted Sam's, I spoke to managers, I drove to the store everyone that was supervisor, manager said they've never handled the amount of customer's Sam's credit cards, it was the bank! I was livid, by third day I contacted bank the young rep said they weren't the ones dropping amount of my card? Funny they allowed me $130 on card because that was amount owing. This bank has also closed my Home Depot card since I only used 3 xs each time paid off. My JCPenney card had a credit amount of $3,000 paid down to $1,450.00 again making payments on time ALWAYS, this bank decreased my credit amount to less than $1,300.00. I had a $1,500.00 Pandora's credit limit, once again never used during year I had it, synchrony Bank sent a letter reducing my limit to $250.00? My credit score had reached 670! I had never had credit, in 2022 is the first time I applied & decided at age 65 I should apply for credit, I was buying a Pathfinder, needed credit. Before I paid everything in cash. Dave Ramsey listener, never wanted to be in debt. (2022 through 9/2024 I have been ill & in hospital with cancerous polyps & cataracts removed from both eyes) who could shop? Who could work? I've never been late on any of my bills, credit cards. These horrible bank executives seem to be heartless. As if on some kind of Napoleon syndrome kick? Or just plain narcissist? Who knows, I don't care at this point I just wanted everyone to know.

Tip for consumers:

Just disappointed that they have all the lying power

Synchrony closed both of my accounts even though I made payments.
May 18, 2023

I have 2 accounts through Synchrony Bank, one for Lowes and the other one for CareCredit. I recently opened up my ENT account to get some of my debt taken care of, so I wasn't familiar with how the account number was supposed to go in, so me not knowing I put the last 2 digits of the account number at the end, I had no idea that this would become an issue. I had submitted a payment on May 4th for my Lowes payment, logged back in there on May 5th saw that there was a balance still due, so I submitted another payment. Logged back in there on the 10th saw that there was a $77 balance so I paid it. I had no idea that the payments had gotten rejected until I logged in a couple days later to make sure that they posted. I didn't receive any notification, email, phone call, or anything stating that my payments had been rejected. Same thing happened with my CareCredit account I made a payment on May 10th for the full balance, once again I didn't receive any notification that my payment had gotten rejected due to them not being able to find the account, I found out once I logged in on the 15th, I saw that the payment was rejected, I immediately resubmitted payment with the correct account information for my ENT account and the payment was processed on the 15th for the full balance. I immediately fixed and resubmitted payments for the full balances and my accounts are still both closed. This is not fair in any way shape or form and I wish that Lowes or any company for that matter DID NOT use Synchrony Bank as their go to because they quite frankly suck to say it in the nicest way possible.

Tip for consumers:

If I could go lower in stars I would, Synchrony is convenient at the time but they aren't after. They don't communicate with their customers.
