Just not happy that the Salumeria Biellese Salame Toscana, 8 oz. Only weighed 6.6 oz with packageing. At $23.99 for 8 oz I would expect 8 oz.

Ordering was seamless, delivery was as fast as can be hoped for. I thought I hadn't gotten an order confirmation so I called customer service. Someone actually spoke to me! That alone deserves huge praise. The rep suggested I check junk mail (duh!), and sure enough I had my confirmation, tracking number, and the knowledge that my package was arriving the next day. Excellent!

I make a lot of purchases online. I've never received more reliable and responsive customer service than from Supermarket Italy. My first contact came when I was looking for an authentic BIaletti moka pot to replace the counterfeit Bialetti that I'd received when I ordered on Amazon. I wrote with some questions about where Supermarket Italy gets its Bialetti's. The representative who answered asked me about the markings on the counterfeit Bialetti and even sent me a copy of a recent invoice from Supermarket Italy's supplier to document that these were the real thing! Since then, I've placed four orders for grocery items and have been amazed at how much attention was paid to packaging the items, carefully cushioning them to assure that they would survive the shipping process. I live in a fairly large downtown condo complex that has had a lot of trouble with delivery services leaving packages unattended in the mailroom. So, for my most recent order, I left a note in the online order form asking Supermarket Italy to request the carrier to deliver directly to my unit. Not only did Supermarket Italy actually pay attention to my instructions, they attached a huge sticker next to the address label saying, "INSTRUCT SHIPPER TO DELIVER TO UNIT 701–DO NOT LEAVE IN MAILROOM". This is the kind of attentive customer service that we all deserve but rarely receive.
