Sun Power installed the most technologically advanced solar panels on my home. They were true professionals in every sense of the word. Sun Power explained everything during the process and were always very responsive. I am thrilled to be saving $ and helping mother earth at the same time. I, like many others wanted to use Sunpower products and in September 2021 was directed by Sunpower to use their approved contractor Moxie Solar. Moxie Solar delayed me for 14 months, took $48,000 from me failed to finish my job as it closed up in December 2022. While Sunpower should have a stake in this disaster, it has walked away free and clear and left many consumers screwed like myself. Yea

Sun Power installed the most technologically advanced solar panels on my home. They were true professionals in every sense of the word. Selecting SunPower panels was easy after I spent 2 or 3 hours on YouTube determining that the only American Made panel is head and shoulders above all the rest. Getting Spencer Flint as my SunPower rep was just plain good luck! Spencer explained the options, the value, and the process of getting solar panels installed. He made the whole process seamless and simple as could be. The SunPower system has significantly outperformed what was promised (and guaranteed) and I love saving money! Spencer and his team are professionals.

We have our system installed at the end of 2017. The service provided by the company was exceptional, the sales manager Spencer Flint got us hooked-up with the company CEO to learn even more about how much advanced their system was. Spencer personally looked after the installation process, helped out with all paperwork, found us a broker for to sell our energy in the future and much more. We have finally seen our meter going right direction since the winter season was so long with mostly cloudy sky and no sun up. But it's over now, our system works great and we can't wait to get our check at the end of the year after we sell our energy excess. Thank you guys for great service.

We just had these solar panels installed--something we have wanted to do for a while. Everyone we dealt with was very professional and quick to respond. Spence was great (even when I backed into his car), he wasn't phased a bit. Very friendly, prompt and accessible for anything. I'd highly recommend working with them!

I did my research and Sunpower panels were consistently rated the best and longest lasting. When it came down to ordering the panels/service, the local sales representative Spencer Flint was able to take care of us. Spencer showed us the options we had available (leasing/loan/purchase) and how they compared. He then worked with the local installers to make sure that went quickly and smoothly. Finally, Spencer was able to work with the local grid provider to fix a paperwork problem and allow us to turn on the system. Spencer's help was really great!

The system has been running for a few days now and it has been great. Even on cloudy days we're still generating power! The monitor application which works via a web browser or phone app works well too. It's cool being to see how much power one is generating at any time.

Overall we have been very happy and cannot wait to enjoy the power savings for the next 20+ years.

Sun power was great to work with because of Spencer Flint. Spenecer made thing verry easy and was verry honest when it came to selling the best panel. I had over 10 diffrent companys try to sell me there solar and no one was as honest and knowledgeable as spencer. He came over my house explained the panel we where going to get and how the whole processes was going to go. When we agreed to get our solar they told us we had to wait 2 month but Spenecer pushed them to get us installed in a month instead of two. Spencer was great to work with he was verry honest and made the prosses go verry easy. Thanks Spenser for your great service.

The initial process from sales to contract signing was great. Kyle with sales and sue with the project coordination really got through the installation schedule very fast and efficiently. Problems started when they arrived for the installation. The panels were not installed per the drawings. The inside flex conduit was stretched like a water hose pulling the wiring from my breaker panels based on how stretched it was. Multiple holes were left in my walls which are still unpatched. When I brought this up to the sales dep. They came out the following week and explained that they needed to add another switch because of the distance but wouldn't unless I said something. Then of course I paid cash for the system and upon turning it on and immediately not working, everyone had gone silent.

The sales rep quit, the project manager has said it's not his issue and to talk to customer service (on multiple occasions). When contacted tech support to submit service tickets to get it to work they even mentioned a ticket should have been submitted after energizing the system but of course, the project coordinator didn't care so he didn't. The customer service staff try to help, but are met with the same, if not worse response from their supervisors to relay to me, which has been 'we will get back to you' which they never do. All their answers and excuses are scripted. Always say "the project manager is with another homeowner on the phone, but asked me to relay XXX, the manager is not available now, but i will personally call you in the morning with her on the line" and they never do". It has gotten to the point that after being placed on hold, I tell the rep "so, this is what you're going to say now, because that's the script and ive heard it before" and all they do is laugh because it was exactly what they were going to say.

Now I'm sitting with 56k worth of solar panels on my roof, completely dead and useless, and never worked., and the only response I get is 'Our next appt is in October You want to cancel it?! (The installation was in July!), and this is just to check the system, who knows when it will be functional? Now looking at all these reviews, it seems that everyone (hundreds if not thousands of consumers) is going through an identical experience. We all get the same scripted responses "A member of the escalation team will reach out in 1-3 business days" and they never do, and nothing ever happens beyond that. I highly recommend you stay away. It is not worth the trouble, carelessness, and aggravation.

Definitely the worst experience I've ever encountered with any company. And what makes it worse is that while the reps try to help, you can hear in their voice they're met with the same arrogance and helplessness from their own team. SunPowers long history is what brought me to buy their panels, but this has been a nightmare of a company to deal with, and 50K out of my pocket on panels that don't work, and when they do, who knows for how may days they'll stay functional. From seeing other reviews - seems like not for long.

Stay as far away from SunPower as you can, unless you like non-functioning systems, endless hold times on customer service, and refusal to have a tech come out to your house to even investigate why your system isn't producing energy.
My solar system has not been producing energy for several months at the least, and maybe longer. I have called SunPower so many times and get nowhere with them.

You're lucky if you can even get a human on the line after endless wait times. Once you do get a human on the line, they'll tell you that you need to contact one of their local dealers. Then you repeat the same exercise with the local dealers, explaining what's wrong, and they tell you you have to contact SunPower corporate to have them send a tech out. But SunPower corporate refuses to send a tech out.
I have no choice now but to rip out this junk system from a junk company with junk customer service and replace it with Tesla or some other company that isn't falling apart at the seams.

The wheels are coming off at SunPower. Stay as far away as you can.

Nothing I have said here is something I haven't said to them in private many times. But now that it is posted publicly they are scrambling to address it.

We'll see. Haven't heard from them yet.
Then, they never followed up after that. They told me they would send a technician out and never did, nor did they call me back to schedule one.

They finally sent a tech out to look at my system (which wasn't even installed correctly).

They charged me $300 for this technician to come out. This was about a month ago, since then I've heard nothing from the company. Can't get answers from them about what was wrong, what needs to be fixed, and if it's covered under warranty. So going on 9 months no of no working solar due to SunPower being a disaster of a company.

Despite their own technicians telling me the system was not installed correctly, and was installed with poor practices leading to extreme fire hazard, and also telling me that the panels are dead but covered under warranty, the corporate office REFUSES to do the right thing and replace my panels under warranty, and fix everything that they did wrong.

Their corporate office and customer service people are either evil or incompetent. It boggles my mind that their own technicians can tell me to my face that their bosses need to replace my broken system under warranty, and then their corporate office calls me and spins some crap about why they can't replace it and why they won't replace it. They couldn't even keep their story straight. This business is a dumpster fire of an operation, and customer service is like talking to ChatGPT, if ChatGPT got hit in the head really hard.
Do yourself a favor and never use SunPower.

I will be recommending against them to anyone who asks me about them. I will never use them for any of my properties, residential, commercial, or otherwise.

The whole point of solar is to save money, but now I am in the hole tens of thousands because they sold me a hunk of crap. I am just glad my house didn't burn down with the poor and shoddy job they did on installing it.
