I ordered and received 10 boxes of 12 tiles per box.
2 boxes were in good order.
2 boxes had minor flaws, but were still acceptable.
The other 6 boxes had smudged paint lines, accidental paint drips or chipped corners on them.
I forwarded pictures to the company and respectfully asked for a refund for the 6 defective boxes of tile.
The response I received stated that "defects are inherent and expected of hand made tiles", which I assume I was to accept as a being a reasonable explanation.
Before ordering the tiles I was also assured broken tiles would be replaced free of charge.
They stated "chipped corners can occur during shipping and installation", inferring that should be an acceptable response as well.
I again asked for a refund and a prompt reply.
It has been a week and it appears I obviously will not receive one.
This is my first experience dealing with a company that has no intention of providing a refund to the customer.
I also experienced having the phone hung up on me countless times as stated in another review.
In recap, 60% of the tiles I received were defective and hardly what one would consider as normal.
I would strongly advise anyone to order your tile from a reputable company that provides quality customer service and refunds/a money back guarantee.
This is not one of them.

STAY AWAY!
December 28, 2023

Please learn from our mistake - this company is a fraud.
I paid for tile which I NEVER recieved. After multiple attempts to contact the company I finally filed a claim with my credit card company. The phone number listed doesn't work, they string you along promising to send your order but it never happens. STAY AWAY - THIS IS A SCAM, not a real, above-boad business. Their shaddy dealing costed us delay in renovation (which cause us even more money) and caused us unnecessary stress and expense. A negative rating - that is what is deserved. Shame on them!

Terrible Cement Tile Distributor
August 9, 2023

A client of mine ordered cement tile from Studio Cement Tile, after receiving a perfectly well made sample. The fact that this tile was half the cost of the bigger known cement tile manufacturers should have been a big huge red flag. We placed out order and received our tiles a few weeks later. When we went to install the tile, our installer was in shock. None of the tiles were flat, in other words they had 1/4" from one corner to the other. The sides were chipping. The backs were crumbling. There was uneven pigment throughout the tiles. It was in his words: " the worst handmade tile he had ever seen." That says a lot given that he's been in the industry for over 20 years.

We tried to call Studio Cement Tile for weeks. The phone would ring once and then hang up.

We contacted Granada Tile to ask if this quality is to be expected for hand made tiles. Here is what they sent us:

Here is a some information to look out for when looking to use someone else cement tiles instead of ours:

2. How do I know what cement or concrete tiles to choose?
Not all cement and concrete tiles are created equal. Cement and concrete tiles are typically hand made in small factories. Conditions, materials and quality control vary significantly from company to company. Granada Tile works hard to bring you the best quality tile. If you are comparing tiles across companies, here are some of the things to watch out for:
Visible problems in cement tile and concrete tile:
Varying thicknesses of tile that makes it hard to lay as a flat surface - from lack of consistency in production process
Pattern is blurry - from pouring pigment sloppily
Major variations with the same color - inaccurate measuring of color pigments or poor quality pigments
Chipping around the edges - weak mixture or poor quality control
Crumbly on the back (weak tile) - from inconsistent hydraulic pressure or too much sand in the mixture
Invisible problems in cement tile and concrete tile:
Ratio of cement to sand - without the right ratio, the tile will not be strong and durable
Quality of the pigments - if cheap pigments are used, colors may fade (even high quality blues and greens will fade in direct sun)
When in doubt, ask for the engineering test reports. These are tests that are performed based on uniform standards by an outside engineering firm. They are a good objective way to insure that specific standards are being met.

Sounds like an EXACT description of our tiles... NEVER AGAIN RUN! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS VENDOR!

This client purchased our tiles, and unfortunately, some of them were damaged during shipping. It appears that they used this as an excuse to avoid payment, and despite receiving a refund, they decided to keep and install the damaged material. It's important to note that they are the ones engaging in fraudulent behavior in this situation. They never answer our calls or emails!
