The only option you have is 6 months and you can't cancel for a refund. I tried after 5 days and they refused. The site is not inclusive and full of married men and or men trolling for hook ups or they are bigots. It is the worst dating site that I came across. I will go back to Match or Cupid.

This site really was a huge waste of money. Despite setting up my profile as wanting only local, I only received potential matches from people far away. I constantly was getting a notice to beware they were investigating someone who contacted me as suspicious. It seemed most people on the site were not actually real. The few people I interacted with had the same experience. This site was a HUGE waste of my money and time. Do not waste your time!

Another useless site that makes money out of people who are trying to find a partner. I signed up for this site and paid the subscription and then I downloaded the app but the subscription doesn't show on the app. It took ages to find a contact form for a refund, what is the bet I don't get a refund? Don't bother with this site as I filled in my distance preference which was 50 miles of where I live and guess what, no matches - I am sick of being ripped off by these sites

This place all it does it steals your money. When I first signed up I didn't get the premium, then I started getting all these notifications get the premium check out who she is she really likes you got the premium didn't hear anything from that person this is worse than match. Stay away from this site if they find you a mate and you no longer single they lose their business you being single than making money same thing it's a scam.

So I signed up and within a few weeks realized it was simply a store front with no substance. I tried to get a refund within 30 days, but they told me I can only get a refund within 3 days of signing up. What I found most interesting was that the small handful of emails I got from supposed interested guys were soon followed up with a "warning" email from SS telling me that I had been contacted by a known site scammer and they urged me not to give my personal information or credit card information to these people. I thin the scammers already have my credit card information. So honestly, what a major disappointment and waste of $143. Save your money and go to a more established dating site.

This is a horrible site - please don't waste your time with them. They take it upon themselves to adjust whatever photo you have posted and edit/change it to show only your face - I mean a very, very, very zoomed in shot of your face. I was horrified when I checked my profile and all I saw was my face, every line, wrinkle and scar - none of the background images of boats or gardens or nature - just a big FACE. How embarrassing. As I said, keep clear of these nasty people.

I joined yesterday and answered all the relevant questions. I added photos of myself and then got on with other things. That evening, I went to log into the website and my email address was not recognised.

Today, I sent an email to customer services to find out what was going on. I was told that there were some inconsistencies with my profile so I have been blocked from the website. They actually wanted me to email them a copy of both my drivers licence and passport to verify whom I was. Scammers...Do not send your personal details to a random website that has more complaints than anyone enjoying it. They actually seem to allow real scammer on their website and discredit real genuine people. It would not surprise me if most of the profiles were from genuine people who are blocked and this is why most people will never get a response!

Personally, I think they saw a black lady and blocked me because they are racist. Anyone who knows me know I am honest. And anyone who knows me, knows who I am. I am so glad I did not provide my bank details!

There are real profiles, you can connect with real people. The problem is there are so many fakes, it's really becoming a pain. There are 100 fake "smiles" for every one, the garbage just clogs your in-box.

This site is a complete waste of money. You cannot do anything if you're not a paid member and I was suckered into thinking there were viable matches in my area contacting me so I stupidly signed up for a 3 month membership (something like $45 and change). I have spoken with ONE man and he lives over an hour from me. It didn't go anywhere. The vast majority of your matches won't be anywhere near you, and even if there were more matches near you, you cannot speak to them if they are not also a paid member. I've done better on free sites (MUCH better). I can't prove it, but I feel like most of the profiles are either fake or very old. I tried to look up reviews about this site and kept finding ones where it was listed as one of the top rated sites; wish I'd seen these reviews first.

Most of my "matches" have barely filled out their profile, no-or only one picture, nothing under interests. Hard to tell if they are even real people. In fact, I have been matched with couple of scammers. If they actually have an algorythym, it seems negligible at best. I am constantly "match" with individuals who either have little information about themselves or whose basic information is divergent from the preferences that Silver Singles asked me about. For example I have indicated on multiple occasions that I would not consider someone who's educational level is vastly different from mine (because it would be difficult to find things in common) and yet they continue to show up as matches. The site is a waste of time and money. I certainly would not recommend it.

If you are serious about finding a date or a mate don't waste your time or money. They said that my search parameters were TOO specific!
Requesting someone, non-smoker, within an hour or so drive with somewhat similar interest and background.
What I got were women 2-3 states to 1500 miles away, and an awful lot of fake profiles many using the address of an OLD NEAR BY AIRPORT as their town.

My account was set up to end and cancel at the end of the 6 month period. However, I got a renew notice from PayPal thankfully; that they had hit me up for another $218. No thank you!

I was very deliberate to make sure that it did not renew automatically but they tried it any way!

Unfortunately, They all play the same game! I had to file a complaint with PayPal to get my refund which took several weeks.

If they can take your 40$ one time with a million suckers looking for love they are fine. (ME)…
Customer service sucks plus they tell u right off bat they won't refund because u used site even if it's fir 1 day. The site is full of fake "Cat Fish" that ask u to download google chat only later to solicite pictures or video of sex. Person does not exist it's a bunch off scammers selling borrowed pics online. This site does nothing. BEWARE!

I wish I'd read all of these reviews before I signed up... I've had the same experiences as almost 100% of the people here. Including being contacted by someone 'from the site' who's friend saw my photo and just had to meet me, so he gave me his email address. I used a junk email account of mine to contact him our of curiosity and of course, he's a widower, an orphan, good looking (sent two adorable pictures), is from Italy but claims he came to the U.S. to get a 2nd degree, blah blah blah but won't answer any questions about where he currently lives, etc etc. I emailed SS to ask if the "friend's" profile was real or a scam and directed them to the message. No answer after two days. It is Silver Singles that is a scam!

Don't waste your hard earned money, folks. This is the absolute worst experience I have had with a dating site. With other sites (like Match.com) I get numerous contacts and matches that are within my area... almost none from SilverSingles. Despite my stated distance range, I get so-called matches from 3000 miles away. Seriously, what a joke this is. Worst, it wouldn't even let me hide my profile - though it doesn't matter much, as no one seems to be out there, anyway.

My email complaints and demand for a refund were never answered, and the telephone number listed on the site for contact is another business. I am outraged that such a rip-off is still operating. Stay away, folks. This is fraud!

Customer service is extremely bad. Very few users are real, although there are a few. The majority are scammers out to take your money. The typical scammer floods you with "you are the one" "I love you" Dear, Darling, Sweetheart... geez. And you just met them. They avoid phone, especially video phone calls. They have many excuses. Very soon they experience a catastrophe and ask you for money. This from someone you don't even know. Most importantly it happens 10 times for any legit contact you make. They will also use your profile to scam others. Don't spend money on this bogus site. If scammed, don't be ashamed and do nothing. Talk to an attorney and go after Silver Singles. It's a shame this site is allowed to operate. BEWARE!
