I joined with the monthly rate of $59.00 because I didn't want to commit to a 3 or 6 month membership until I checked it out. I wasn't very happy with the site because most of the matches were Way too far away, and i the first month, I didn't have a match that interested me. I decided to try it one more month….Well, instead of the $59.00
Automatic withdrawal, they charged me double, $119.95, for the second month…
And they refuse to refund it, because, I didn't notify them 3 days before it was due. They sent me a copy of the second page of the agreement, in very, very, tiny small print, it reveals the following charges would be doubled. Why would I knowingly, agree to pay $119.95 for one month, when I could get 3 months for that price! They correspond to my complaints with "standardized " emails, stating that I will not a get a refund…They have turned off my service, yet are keeping the $119.95.
There are a lot of scammers on the site, but, the biggest scammer is Silver Singles!

I have received contact messages from nothing but men with fake profiles on this website every single message I received is from a man that is not the person in the pictures.
I feel like I have wasted my money and expectations of meeting someone it is a waste of money to sign up on this site.

I decided to do SilverSingles for one month to see if I wanted to use it. In reading these reviews, I also received the email from a guy saying I was gorgeous and told me to hit him up on What's App to arrange a coffee date. But, the biggest issue is that after just a week after paying for the service, I received an email stating that I had changed the email address on my account - which I DID NOT! And now I have no access to my account - so I can't cancel the service and they can just keep billing me monthly because I can't cancel. They do not have a customer service phone number and their response when you send in an email is that they will do their best to get back to you within 48 hours... But I read here that someone else's account was hacked and they wanted to charge them $199.99 to fix the issue. UGH!

Been on this site 3 months. Scammed over and over. Scammers post fake pick, email consistently and when you get them on the phone they all "grew up" overseas, in the oil business and other. Bad customer service and screening of candidates. Really bad site save your money. One star is over the top.

I signed up for the Premium Plan; and although I had several contacts initially, several were from out of state/area or contrary to my profile preferences. Later I began receiving several "phishing" hits that were bogus. To the company's credit, they did - after the fact - send me security warning that the messages I had received were being investigated by the company for security issues. I would not recommend this site to anyone.

A very poorly designed dating site! So many problems save your money and your time please! Apparently they require 100 characters just for this to be reviewed. So please let me reiterate do not waste your money our time on this bogus $#*! dating site!

I joined Silver Singles on December 9,2021. I set guidelines for my search within a 100 mile limit. I, however, received responses from all over the country. I also reported several obvious catfishers, although one very clever one got by me. When I was alerted, I did my own search on BeenVerified.com and was horrified I'd been taken in by a career criminal. (I, at least, was not dumb enough to give out bank info, but he had my private number). I canceled my account on January 22,2022. No chance of refund. All dating sites should vet everyone BEFORE profiles go up, not after potential damage has been done.

My first "match" I met here is a scammer. I didn't loss any money because I am smart enough not to be fooled, and strong enough to pull it through. The scammer keeps harassing me but it's not considered as a crime by SilverSingles, therefore they refuse to release his identity due to "privacy concern". The scammers are harbored and boldened knowing there are no consequence of their behaviors. Some innocent people are hurt sooner or later. I'd like to say stayaway from this website as much as you can.

I've been a member for 10 days and have reported 10 fake accounts.

Most matches sent through their algorithm are 100s if not 1000s of miles away. My preferences clearly stated my preference is within 50 miles.

I applied for membership on line with Silver Singles where it asked several personal questions. They ask a lot of psychological questions that invade a person's inner thoughts, feelings and behaviors exposing ones strengths and weakness to third parties. I believe they are using their dating app to collect info for other purposes. I am glad I falsified certain things about my character and birth date, etc., which I felt was not necessary. To top it off, they never responded as if I never submitted ananything to them other than my email address. They are nothing but info theives bottom line.

Like so many others, I regret joining Silver Singles -- a waste of my money and my time. I received more contacts from scammers than from legitimate users. I complained repeatedly and Silver Singles said the right things in response, but didn't actually do anything about the problem, even though the scammers are easy to identify. The most basic problem is that the site is supposedly restricted to those over 50. I'm 80, but I got hundreds of "smiles" or messages from women in their 30s and 40s. Why doesn't the company weed those younger people out? Because they're paying customers and SS doesn't want to lose the money. Avoid this company whatever you do!

A year ago, thinking about finding a travelling partner, I succumbed to Silver singles heavy email presence. Short story I filled in the lengthy questionnaireand joined -forget the free look thing. A quick look at the way they operated led me to immediately cancel my membership, still in the cooling off period. Unnoticed by me they removed A$359.40 from my account. No further correspondence has been received until 2/8/22 with a possible partner. On 6/8/22 a further A$359.40 was removed from my account. No request was ever received re renewal. I am currently attempting to recover the above sum but don't like my chances. If you find yourself in a similar position get a new bankcard

The software/ tools on this site do not easily provide the ability to scrutinize a search and keep those searches for the next time you log in. And the daily matches were nit what I set as my filter. I thought I had canceling subscription, it automatically renewed for 6 months - the day I got the notice I sent a cancellation email back and was still charged for the 6 months. I had not been on the site in 2 months. No warnings that the auto renewal was going to occur. Be aware of this site
