I called ShopRite 2xs to get in touch with a manager and no one ever answered so here is my review. I bought cream of crab soup (bowl&basket) brand.The soup was filled with pieces of hair.In a closed package so I don't know where it's being packed at. But y'all need to get it together that's disgusting.And answering the phone I'm assuming is too much.As of now no has connected me to a Manager after 3 attempts that's ridiculous.
Missing items way too many. And they are common items that my husband purchases weekly. Going to go over receipt for it seems off as well. Corporate is missing out on dealing with these issues and not handling this appropriately. It makes me want to shop at a completely different store. For they are ignoring people being ripped off!
A few weeks ago, they updated their website and their app, so now nothing works properly. Everyday, it's a different issue and those of use who depend on grocery delivery have had to take our business elsewhere. Apparently, not enough of us have been inconvenienced, so they repeatedly ignore the issues. I'm disappointed in the lack of customer care - it's just a shame to see loyal customers ignored.
One employee has stood out to me for awhile. Keith Hoffman works on the self-scanner line and his efficiency, professionalism, pleasant manners, and hard work all makes him an asset to his company & makes me want to return here bc employees like him upgrades the experience of this place. I just recognize great & helpful employees everywhere i go (which is not uncommon unfortunately) but Keith is a standout and should be called out.
Since they did the new upgrade last month, I have been unable to pay for my online order. I have been getting a message on the final step to pay for the order. I get "There is a problem with contacting payment payer. Please try again later or refresh your screen." I tried doing both and it didn't work. I have been using this same debit card for years with no problem. Have reported this issue several times, but no one ever gets back to you. Each time after waiting over 30 minutes, I've been told that they will have to turn this over to their IT department.
Over 2 weeks and still can't put in an order for delivery. Meanwhile have missed the specials because of this. How long will it take for someone to get these problems fixed? They should go back to the old app until they've TESTED and got the bugs out of this update.
Is in Hamilton, Princeton, North Brunswick and Edison. They provide the best service, have professional staffs, friendly, helpful than some of the other Shoprite. I will recommend them to Shoprite customers.
I like ShopRite from home and every person who has delivered has been absolutely wonderful. However, ShopRite from Clark is always out of the stuff that is on sale. My last four orders we're missing things that were on sale because they didn't have it this is very frustrating to me. Yes they will call and offer a substitution but the substitution is three times the price of what was on sale. Once again, today I ordered the Life water bottles that were on sale and they were out of them with the excuse that they sold quicker than they thought they would. Come on now it's life water if you put it on sale people are going to buy it as it is expensive to begin with so a sale makes it a great purchase! I think Clark ShopRite has to get it a little bit more together.
I had a home delivery scheduled right after 12 inches of snow had fallen in the last few hours. The young ShopRite delivery girl shoveled a 3 x 4‘ path around my front door so that she could place the groceries on the ground rather than in the snow There's no one had come to shovel us out yet. I thought this was outstanding service way above and beyond what she had to do. I'm going to contact ShopRite directly so I can give her name to someone that needs to know how wonderfully she does her job.
As a food store, Shop Rite is great. But whoever came up with Digital Coupons should be FIRED immediately. Not only is this the dumbest idea since you already need to have their regular card, but none of these "deals" are in any order and a pain in the $#*! to download (if you remember). Just give every card holder these discounts and be done. This is 2021 not 1981.
You always had sugar free Italian ices and now there are none. Me and many friends bought them every week. I hope you carry them again soon. I came especially to your store to buy them. I'm so disappointed!
This person swas very threatening to me last night in this store. I plan to write about his everyday until I can come to this store without threat. He did not want to put the price on the fabric softener you can pull cam as I look for the price as he and a coworker stand and chat. Someone spoke to him and I said that he saw me looking for the price. I was walking away when he then came to me screaming that I better watch myself. I walked away then returned to take these photos of him. I shop and live in the community I will not be threatened by workers where I spend my hard earned money.
I shop different days & different hours, but it makes no difference. Too often, SR in Chester NY is out of the sales stock and if it is a digital item, you cannot get a raincheck for the digital price. Also, I am older, and it takes me longer to pack. In the meanwhile, as soon as I pay, the cashier is taking the next order, and those items are getting close to the ones I have not yet gotten to. I am tired of feeling rushed to pack and get out. On the other hand, almost all the cashiers are pleasant and some even offer to help me pack. Oh, and I almost forgot - the meat is usually good here, but the produce is often not so good.
What can I say? They move location of food daily so you don't know where to find anything. They mislabel prices all the time and make you go through a half hour process to confirm they MISLABEL PRICES! The automated check out doesn't work and rushes you to check out. Over and Over and Over it tells you to do this or that. As a final moment, after paying them $100 for 6 items your reciept hits the floor! Go spend $100, put up with automated check out, work for shoprite, and then bend over and pick up your reciept off the floor. The owners are A-Holes! I have seen them at the store acting like KINGS shifting where food is positioned. I really dislike this place and looking for other options. Just perfectly 2023! Pay me $100 while I put you to work! SMH!

I understand there is a shortage of workers but the employee in charge of cashiers and check out lanes should not be verbal to customers over frustration. This person could use some backup support.
Waited for 30 min before the lady actually came to my car to pickup my credit card. When asked what was taking so long she stated they were behind. I thought that was bogus since three cars pulled in 10 to 20 min after me and they got their delivery. Yeah " their behind" -- more like a horses behind!
My first experience with Shop Rite home delivery resulted in a two-hour late delivery, three phone calls from the store, a promise to refund the delivery fee (which was still charged to my card) and then received the wrong order. Considering I only ordered 3 items, it was pretty hard to get it wrong but they did regardless. A total waste of time that I won't repeat. I'll stick with Fresh Direct.
Myself and my bf are both disabled. I have had the worst experience three weeks in a row. My orders being delivered to the wrong addresses. The workers in the office are very kind, but if I get a delivery from the shipper company I don't get my order then when they redo my order of course something is always out of stock I have called corporate and they said they would look into it but I'm thinking it's just to blow me off. Said to call my store and have them note that the only delivery method for us is one of their drivers. I hope this happens but I'm not betting on it. Very frustrating
Unbelievable rude employees! With everything going on with the virus, I had politely asked the cashier if she would spray down the belt for me. "Can you please spray the belt for me ma'am." At which her (Cheryl's) reply was "You're not talking to me that way. I'm not cleaning it." I have no idea what I did wrong? This is one, of many examples of rude and unprofessional behavior that I endure at this ShopRite.
Everyting in this store is HORRIBLE, There produce & meats are the worse they don't even check there rotten vegetables. And there cashiers are not pleasant. So Glad that I shop at WEGMAN'S. They have everything that is beautiful in this store. I can't understand how shoprite stays in business.
Answer: Since the "update" everyone is having trouble with the website and app. It's been awful, but they seem to be in no rush to fix it.

Answer: Yes- just Google "Grocery stores near me." Chances are that at least one of those stores is connected with a service called Instacart. Instacart is far better, cheaper, faster, and much more reliable than ShopRite. You can order groceries the same day, the delivery fee is much, much cheaper, and you can actually tip on your credit card, unlike ShopRite, which gives you no option to do that.
