I purchased the School of PE course for the Civil Geotechnical PE exam yesterday, and am now on video lesson number 4. I have been very disappointed with the video instruction so far, and am requesting a refund on the product.

The instructor is VERY disorganized, hard to understand, does not provide subtitles, and has provided several INCORRECT answers on various areas of study. If I had known the poor quality ahead of time, I would have chosen a different product.

I spent $1500 on this package, and the quality is exceptionally poor for the price point.

"George Stankaweickch" This man is crazy...Get rid of him or give my money back. He keeps reading his notes, never answers our questions...he simply clears the chat when we ask questions from him.

If you use their material you will fail. You'll be prepared to answer maybe 20 questions right on your exam. They will not answer you questions you send, you will wait a week before the teacher tells you "umm...please reach out to the school" or "i cant open png files please reattach" or "i cant answer questions from the exam".

The actual lectures are just PowerPoint presentations which go one by one through each topic in the book. For chemical engineering (what i took), this included fluids, thermo, material and energy balances, reactions, mass transfer, and plant design and operations. They have some problems but none are representative of what you'll see on the exam. I think their material was good for FE not for PE.

PE mechanical
February 7, 2023

There is one instructor who literal read all notes and doesn't explain a thing! He brags about 40 years of experience in a field but has zero intention to teach well! On Demand course is completely useless! Avoid by all mean that specific instructor! You will know him since he always drinks his coffee and wonders around throughout the class without explaining solutions or topics! Sarah is right about previous comment!

Good material to study
October 13, 2022

I been out of school for 8 years, my undergrad was in ME but working as a CE in Transportation. Purchase school of PE on demand but I had a hard time making myself watch the videos so end up purchasing the live classes. The instructors explained the material very good and had no need to read the book for the afternoon part. Except the water instructor wasn't very good so I end up watching the on demand class that had a different instructor. I watched the live classes videos for a second time and worked the workshop problems and quizzes as well. The material was true to form to what's in the test and the use of the references, I did invest a lot of time for 5 months, after work form 6-9:30pm and weekends 6 hours each day. I end up passing the transpo test the first time I took it! So over all my experience with school of pe was a good one!

Waste of study time
October 2, 2022

For on demand.
The pdfs they allow you to download and what is presented on aren't always the same. Half of the presenters don't actually teach you anything, but just talk about themselves or their job.
Videos are incomplete, and one instructor drinks and makes weird noises into the microphone so it's hard to listen to.
Don't waste your money or your study time. I have less than a month to study left and I'm abandoning this course because it doesn't teach anything.

The videos are very low quality and the teacher is not easy to understand. I paid for the on-demand class. $175 is kind of a lot considering how many errors there were. Also, there are moments in the videos where the teacher isn't saying anything for 10+ seconds at a time. I'm pretty disappointed, and I think I would go with another company if I could go back and not purchase this class.

The School of PE is trying to take advantage of the pandemic to *double charge* customers who had purchased their service to study for tests that were canceled due to the COVID-19.
I was registered for the April 2020 PE in MA, which was canceled. I then had to move to CA for my job in September 2020, which made it completely impossible to register for the October 2020 PE exam.
I did not log on to the School of PE once between April 2020 and up until a few days ago. When I asked them to restore my service because my April 2020 test was canceled, and there was no way for me to take the October 2020 PE, they told me "Sure, we can restore your service—for $700!"
When I called to clear up the situation, they told me it wasn't their decision and the product manager (who I later find out is the VP Radhika Dega) will call me. She literally kept repeating "we can do 50% off" and "the October 2020 exam wasn't canceled". I actually thought I was going to go crazy... it was absurd. This company doesn't deserve a penny.

Horrible.

Underwhelming and I failed
September 16, 2021

The morning section material was somewhat helpful. I used the hard cover book and found that I liked the equations in the back. However, I found just using the CERM (Civil Engineering Reference Manual) and working practice problems to be more helpful. I wasted HOURS watching all of those videos and would have been better of just doing practice problems and watching you tube videos when I had questions. I've even posted questions on reddit and gotten more help than School of PE provided. I failed the exam. The afternoon portion, my professor would put on slides "be sure to read about xyz" rather than including relevant info in the course. I also dislike how they use SI units on a lot of problems and I don't think I had one SI unit problem on the exam. Horrible for afternoon stuff, not the best for morning.

Took the on demand class to get prepared for the PE transportation exam. I couldn't do the exam because I missed my flight from overseas. They did not allow me for free retake. I had to pay for the next on demand class. I took the exam and failed the exam. I signed up for the retake. They updated the material. Now they do not give me access to the new material. They want me to buy the material.
Don't waste your money on this class. The management is rude and will get you into so many ways to get money out of you. They never care about the students. They go over so many things that you be lost what to focus on.

Was great for FE, not the PE
March 29, 2021

While trying to get a question answered, not successfully mind you, George Stankaweickch became offended. While he never answered the question I was struggling with, I fnally said, let's just move on. Then randomly about an hour later, he booted me out of the class. This continued several more times as I logged back in. Unbelievable you don't need this kind of added stress when studying for your PE.

Further the communication is horrible, completely unconcerned with people's schedule and getting information out to students. I would go elsewhere.

Terrible Videos

Don't be fooled. I signed up for the ChemE PE and the video material is terrible with errors, and no way to get a refund. Spend your money elsewhere.

They must have grabbed the cheapest distillations/reaction teacher for chemical engineering. I was forced to play his videos just to get credit for it.

News flash- When you make 100 errors as a lecturer, can't even write a problem up, and made a kids crayon drawing look better than the note handouts, then you probably shouldn't teach.
