Claim Your BusinessScamShield presents information primarily on known "on-the-ground" scams, like the "White Van Scam" (in which con men approach "marks" in a parking lot, and offer fake high-end audio equipment at discounted prices), rather than telemarketing and Internet scams. Currently (July 2012) it describes only three such scams. However, the ScamShield website also offers a list of government and other agencies which deal with scams: this list might be useful for Internet-scam victims. ScamShield is referenced in the Wiki entry on "White Van Scam." The website is maintained by volunteers, and offers a volunteer sign-up page.
