I got scammed via an Internet website (rticproducts.com) and told my story to scamadviser. They listened to my explanation, asked questions, and were very supportive in allowing me to spread the word in order so others may be spared. Thanks to Jorij and the entire team at scamadviser.com — there are many criminals preying on consumers, and this company helps to keep people safe from thieves.

There's a lot of bogus reviews on this platform and Trustpilot, some reviewing the wrong products or service (their top positive review is about lubricants, not scam identification), some which look like they are generated by bots, and some (at least in fairness) where people are just negatively reviewing this website because they fell prey to a scam themselves. However, dig a bit deeper into the negative reviews and you'll see a pattern increasingly emerging. Go onto Trustpilot, select the list of 1-star reviews and you'll see that these are often the most coherently written - competent, articulate, legitimate business owners complaining because they have been wrongly listed. The number appears to be increasing at the moment, while the site leans too heavily on flawed tech - this last week, there seems to have been a 1-star review every day, most complaining due to the targeting of low-traffic / newly-established websites. This site says they do manual reviews of websites, but that involves handing over personal documents and info which this company does not have the right to own, and at a guess sells on to third parties. They claim they do not ask for any money from these manual reviews, yet they appear to be making money somehow; it requires funds to set up and maintain such a large website and technological system, so it must be financially viable at some level of the operation. You have to wonder what benefits the staff of this company get from this operation; it can't just be the 'feel good factor'.

It's always helpful to go on this site to look up an online shop before you decide to purchase anything.
It will save you from losing any money and taking that gamble.

I was unhappy with another site's poor quality product, attempted to use ScamAdvisor to write a review about it; they were the only service of its type to have an entry on the specific site I was unhappy about, but not only did they require me to create an account (without warning me of this when I attempted to make a review), when I wasted time trying to make an account they rejected my review entirely, stating that the "review limit per IP address" was reached, despite me never having used the site prior to this interaction. Don't waste your time setting anything up on this site!

I just found out about Scamadvisor today as I was trying to get info about a company that
Had scammed me on an order I had with them. Glad to see there are sites like this that
Provide people info about companies that are trying to scam them. I have only used them
Once, but now I plan on using them more often, especially when dealing with unknown
Companies on the internet. I wish I had found them a few days ago, it would have saved

This site has helped me tremendously in knowing which are the real scams and has taught me to not believe everything you hear from unreliable sources that cant back what they say.

Any site that lists scammers or potential scammers is the place to go. Fight scamming and LIST REVIEWS concerning what happened to you. Scamadvisor is one of the sites that helped me be cautious. Also if USPS is used to ship get them involved. They will investigate and let you know if the package/tracking number you received (especially using PayPal) was actly addressed to you or not.
