This site popped up when I searched for Netgear customer service. They acted like they were Netgear, they asked me for the model number etc... Then told me that I needed to pay them $250 to upgrade my Netgear software or the router wouldn't work. It was working two days ago, and only stopped when I switched to AT&T. They are a complete scam! Pretending to be other businesses, conning people out of money. Fraudulent!
This site and their phone number popped up when I searched for the Netgear customer service phone number. They answered as Netgear, asked me for the model number and pretended to "check". They told me that I upgrade my Netgear router and how they saw interferences and glitches, but never got specific. They said they could fix if I pay $199 for one year or $250 for 4 years. Mathematically, that made no sense. They started to push the sale very hard and said how they can have someone work on it right away and pass me to someone else. Also, how the issue would only get worse. Thankfully, I listened to my gut and did not move forward.
Stay away from them and this site. They are scammers representing themselves as other router companies and conning people out of money. Don't buy into it (no pun intended)!
Tip for consumers:
Scam alert
I searched Netgear and they popped up. I thought I was talking to Netgear and they told me my software was corrupted and I needed to pay $22.99 for new software and $69.99 for tech support. I told them that was bullsh*t and hung up. Called US Cellular and got help. Went back to my search and realized it wasn't Netgear that I called! Scammers!
They intercept your search for Netgear and will tell you that you need to buy a firewall and that's why you're internet won't work. They will then charge you between 120 - 299USD for a firewall protection.
They are a complete scam. And pieces of $#*!.

DON'T
Almost got scammed,
I had an issue setting up my network switch I bought from Amazon. Searched on Google "netgear support" and the top "sponsored" result was https://routeruniverse.com/ - I saw the number below thinking it was Netgear's support number. The "agent" got me to state my email address and router/switch serial number. I was able to figure it out once they started to tell me they are going to access my router which at that time had no internet access. After which I got a notification from Netgear stating an access to my account and to call or reset password if this wasn't me. Disconnected everything and changed passwords and hung up on there phone call.
