RoadTrip Radar is a route planing site that finds places for you to stop within a set distance of your journey. It finds these places from it's own crowd-sourced database, and displays them on a google-map of your journey. You can select the kinds of places that you want to visit (like museums, or play parks) and the distance from your route that you're prepared to travel. You can save points to a "road trip" and then save it for later. You can even add YouTube videos to the background and share it across facebook, which I really like. There are a few routes saved there already but they look like are for promo only, I think. It takes a minute or two to work out how to operate the site, but there is a helpful little video which is useful and, once you get the hang of it, it is quite useful. Be careful how many filters you tick in the categories - if you select too many then it can take a long time to load your route. Generally, it works really well, and it helps when you are planning a trip and want to find places to stop at on the way. Five stars.
