Had an excellent experience. They were professional, quick to reply, and genuinely wanted to help. Couldn't have asked for better support.
I manage several properties in Los Angeles and have used Rental Source for the last few years to advertise them when they're vacant. Listing process is simple and inquiries are generally high quality. I'm pleased with their service.
We're currently looking for a place for my sister who is moving to our city and found a house on Rental Source that was priced right and pet friendly just a few minutes from us. Submitted an inquiry through their website and left a voicemail and we were able to see the property the following morning. They were extremely responsive to our questions. Thank you again!
So glad to hear that & thank you for taking the time to describe your experience. Hopefully you won't require our service again anytime soon, but when you do, we'll be here to help. All the best!
We just moved into our new home in Seattle which we found on Rentalsource. Search experience on their site needs a little work but is good enough to get the job done. Submitted a few inquiries to properties which we were interested and received replies from the actual landlords. We weren't charged any fees to use their service and would use it again.
Totally agree that the search experience on our website needed some work and I'm pleased to report that we recently launched a new version which makes the process of finding a rental a lot easier. Sounds like you won't be needing a new home anytime soon, but if you have a time to checkout our new website, I'd love to hear your feedback. Thank you!
Why do you have to make it so hard to make contact with the property managers? You obviously don't keep up on the listings and your website has been deemed pretty much useless since no one every responds to inquiries.
I'm sorry to hear about your experience, but we receive listings from thousands of property managers, who aren't RentalSource employees, and we have no control over how quickly they respond to inquiries. Unfortunately, some property managers don't do a good job of deleting their rentals from our service once they're rented and we're constantly working to improve that. Overall - please contact us if you ever have an issue or find a listing on our website that is no longer available and we'll promptly remove it.
Relocated to Raleigh and needed a home to rent while we looked for a house to buy. Found one that met our families needs on Rental Source. Property manager was great and they didn't charge us anything. If we need to rent again, I'd definitely use them again.
Since late summer I've been looking for a rental closer to downtown Atlanta to shorten my commute - traffic here is brutal. I've used all the typical rental sites, but wasn't having much luck finding something within my budget and had the amenities I required. Eventually I came across Rental Source, setup a property alert and just a few days later I was notified of a property that seemed to good to be true. Contacted the property manager, was able to see the unit the following day & promptly signed a lease. I'm happy with Rental Source and would use their service again.

Looking for a place, found the house of our dreams. Clicked to get more information and was emailed back and told to "sign up" for apartmenthunterz.com and pay a registration fee of $50 if we wanted to get ahold of the landlord. They even said the house was available right now, but we drove by and clearly someone is still living there. Hopefully no one has actually paid this ridiculous scam.
I'm sorry to hear about your experience, but we receive listings from thousands of property managers and we're unable to control how they operate their businesses. Some do charge a fee to work with them, which we frown upon, but RentalSource is 100% free for potential renters to use and will always be. Unfortunately, some property managers don't do a good job of deleting their rentals from our service once they're rented and we're constantly working to improve that. Overall - please contact us if you ever have an issue or find a listing on our website that is no longer available and we'll promptly remove it.
Found a house we really liked on rentalsource.com. When I clicked for more information it referred me to another site that I would have to pay a subscription fee in order to view or contact anyone about the house. My husband and I drove up and down the road the house is supposed to be on and it wasn't there. I hope no one has fallen for this scam and paid these ridiculous fees.
RentalSource is an advertising platform that's used by thousands of property managers & agencies to advertise their available rental listings. Unfortunately, some of those companies do charge a fee to work with them and we have no control over how they operate their businesses. However, it sounds like the bigger issue is that you couldn't locate a rental that you saw on our website. Since this issue occurred sometime ago, it's difficult to investigate what happened, but most likely it was due to incorrect data that we received from a property manager. If you ever use our service again and run into a problem, please contact us directly and you'll receive a prompt response.
They posted MY property on their site without permission and its not for rent! I tried to call the number they listed and no one ever called me back. Have left message with their customer support but no one has called me back.
RentalSource is an advertising platform that's used by thousands of property managers & agencies to advertise their available rental listings. I'm not sure which listing you're referring too, but if you reported an invalid listing it would have been immediately removed and a confirmation of it's removal would have been sent to you. As for cost, our service is completely free for renters and we do not collect any money (commissions, deposits, fees, etc.) on behalf of property managers.

Unfortunately, some of those companies do charge a fee to work with them and we have no control over how they operate their businesses. If you're dissatisfied with the service that they provided you, we suggest asking for a refund and if that doesn't work you can try disputing the charge with your credit card company. Also, if you find a rental through our service that's occupied, please report the listing to us and we'll promptly remove it.
