Sold me a transmission with a cracked case, would not honor warrenty. Do yourself a favor and do a quick Google search. Avoid remanns.com and thier many llc.they have open court cases for consumer fraud, from many clients including the state of Wisconsin
If I could leave a negative star reviews I would. There is no part of this transaction that was pleasant. First, during the check out process, it states that the core fee will be waived. It wasn't, I paid the $375 core fee. There was no option to waive it. Also, I was told that since I was purchasing a used engine as they did not have a reman for my 2010 Buick Enclave that I would not be getting their stated 5 year warranty.
Once I placed the order, I heard nothing from them for several weeks. I finally started trying to call to get tracking information but was redirected multiple times and was not able to talk to anyone. When I FINALLY talked to someone in the shipping department, they said that it would ship out within the next 2 business days. Well... it didn't. It took them 6 weeks to get my engine out to me. The engine it self wasn't in bad shape but the oil filler tube had be crushed during shipping as well as a few sensors were snapped off into the block. I paid my mechanic to fix those.
I started calling about my core pickup on the 15th day after I received the engine. No response. I called the shipping department and they had me leave a message for Dale Jones, the supposed shipping manager. I left him several messages and emails about picking up my core. I FINALLY got some response after a month of attempting to reach anyone. The response was a pleasant "F" you from as seen below:
We did receive your call for the core pick up, that is why im sending this by email, however it will be $499.54 to bring the core back to us. Instead of charging you the remaining balance of $124.54 for the shipping, we will just let you keep the core
Thank you,
Not sure what remaining balance they are talking about as my account was paid in full before they shipped my engine. Also, why on earth would they have to charge me $500 for getting the core back to them? They were supposed to issue a return merchandise authorization and send the freight carrier to pickup at my business. I replied to them asking for clarity and pointing out several inconsistencies with their policies and that they were not honoring the contract THEY put forth upon purchase of the engine. Still no response. So I will be completing a partial charge back on my credit card and leaving reviews on every site I can find to warn people of what they are getting into.
In summary, they charged me the "waived" core fee of $375.00. They took over 6 weeks to ship my engine and then would not respond about picking up the core. Instead they finally replied with how much extra I would have to pay them to get THEIR core back to THEM.
I wouldn't buy from these people again if they were the only ones on Earth that had what I needed.
Tip for consumers:
BUYER BEWARE
I learned the hard way that this is an unreputable company. I purchased a transmission for my Subaru and it arrived defective. I contacted the company and I haven't heard from them nor gotten a warranty replacement or refund.
