*Update- I emailed customer service and they extended my trial. They were quick to respond. Just make sure that you don't accidentally select the dynamic QR code if you don't want it to disable after a trial period. I will stay away from this site in the future. I used another site for my other daughter's Girl Scout cookie QR code and it is working fine. This site disabled our QR code before the sale is over! This is so wasteful and a bunch of flyers we handed out are now useless.
This website is ethically the worst. I generated a QR code for a print job and was not aware that to keep it activated I would have to pay over $150 a year. They did not make this clear at all and when I contacted support they did nothing to resolve the issue or help. This website is a rip off!
It claims to be a free, but it's not.
I purchased a monthly plan, but they charged me 12 months at the first month.
One year has passed and they did that again! Automatically! I asked for refund and the site refuses!
P.S.: QR code generator contacted me and refunded 100%.

Poor communication in regards to trial. Did not realize services would be locked down after a trial period until we purchased a subscription which put me in a tough position for some print material that had already been distributed. Emailed their customer service and let them know about it and they had the audacity to charge my account again this year. I'm sure their services work fine but just know, there is no trial period. You're paying from the get go.
Your QR code will expire after 14 days unless you pay them at least $65 + tax for a whole year. We sent out a QR code on our wedding invites only to have it expire the first day they arrived. The company's responses to similar reviews say that the customer "must have been using the 14-day trial instead of the free account," blaming the customer for choosing the wrong option, but there is no visible "free" account that I could find anywhere on the site. The only way to even download the QR code is to sign up for a 14-day trial. I have never had a QR code expire on any other code generator I have ever used. I had no choice but to pay the fee. They don't even accept PayPal or Apple/GooglePay, which makes me nervous as I do not like to give my credit card info to unfamiliar companies. QR-code-generator-- if you are going to advertise yourself as free, have an actual, accessible FREE option.

Nice company when you sign up. Not so nice when you want to discontinue service. They automatically renew by policy. They send you a cryptically titled email ONE DAY before the automatic renewal process begins. If you miss this by two days, and you have not used the product for several months, you will NOT get a refund, even a refund minus whatever processing fees they might charge. No heart in this qr code generator company.
Tip for consumers:
Mark your calendar for 11 months after you sign up, so you will be on the lookout for their emails informing you that you will be renewed automatically. Don't expect any sympathy for missing their cryptic email informing you that you will be automatically renewed.
The QR codes work well however the "free" part is pretty misleading. After over an hour searching I've found out how to get the free plan. Make sure the qr codes you make are as plain as possible during the free trial so they are definitely available on the free plan.

The next page didn't load for me at first but I kept trying (out of our stubbornness). The next day the link worked fine, just log in and there should be an option to activate the free plan at the bottom of the page (under the heading "do you offer individual plans").
You'll then get a pop up, click "activate free plan" and BOOM
The website makes it as difficult as physically possible to find all this but I felt the need to post it here because it's really misleading and unfair to consumers. Hope this saves someone a few pounds :)

Read the small print, if you aren’t planning to pay for codes, make sure everything in plain as possible.

Worked well for a project for a couple of months. Following we stopped using it and without any reminders, it renewed the yearly service. Now can't get refund for a service we aren't using for a year.
