VIP Club Scam / HOW TO CANCEL!
May 29, 2019

Today is March 2,2020, and this is an update of my May 29,2019 review. Like many others, after placing an order on the Pyramid Collection website, I immediately started to be billed $16.24 monthly for the VIP Club--that I never knowingly signed up for. I have tried to call Customer Service, I have Emailed, I have filled out forms on their website--no cancellation.

Tonight, after seeing my Amex was charged for the 11th month in a row--I scoured the Pyramid website--finally found out how to cancel--called the number and spoke to an agent to cancel--and received a confirmation Email within minutes. OMG what a nightmare this has been. Here's what I found out...

On their website, at the very top right, click on "VIP Club". Scroll down slightly and on the right, you'll see a blue box called "Enroll in VIP". Click on that link, and scroll all the way down. On the very bottom right where it says "Helpful Links", click on "FAQ". Then click on "How can I cancel my membership". And then you'll see this:

"To cancel by phone, you can call us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at *******046. If you would prefer to cancel online, simply log in to your account at PyramidCollectionVIP.com and click on Account from the main navigation menu. Then click the Cancel Membership link, and follow the instructions provided. You can also email us your cancellation request at *******@PyramidCollectionVIP.com or submit it through the "Contact Us" form. However you do it, our Customer Service Department will process your cancellation right away."

I called that number, spoke to an agent who confirmed my name and address--and she cancelled the membership ASAP, with no questions asked. Within 2 minutes, I received a confirming Email showing that it was cancelled. AMAZING!

It's absolutely outrageous that they have this information BURIED in their website. And it's horrible that they don't openly and VISIBLY inform their customers about the monthly VIP Club fee. For what it's worth, every single month when that $16.24 showed up on my Amex, I would dispute the charge, Amex would investigate--and they always credited me. So even American Express knows that the Pyramid Collection is a scam company.

I hope this info is helpful to others who have been at a loss as to how to cancel, and as a warning to potential customers to not shop with them.

First, I love the *idea* of the Pyramid Collection. It's a bunch of new-agey type flowy stuff, it looks great on the website. I've purchased many items from them.

But...

Nothing fits the way it looks in the head-less mannequin photos--they don't use real people for models, so you can't see how the products actually look. I've had to send *everything* back. Oh--and you have to pay for return shipping--and fill out an old-fashioned paper form, just like the old school Sears days. Not customer friendly.

I made two reviews of recent purchases--and they were negative. That was weeks ago, and they still haven't been posted. I'm so done with them. OH--also, they charged me $16.24 to join their VIP Club--which I did not authorize.

With so many terrific online retailers around, there is NO reason to shop with these people.

Jacket not at all as pictured/ described
August 18, 2018

Okay, I guess the color was about right. However:

I have looked through this catalog for years and thought that they had really attractive, unusual but seriously overpriced items. I recently decided to celebrate a new job and an upcoming trip by purchasing an allegedly 100% cotton jacket on their "outlet sale" for $54.99. (photo from website page www.pyramidcollection. Com/itemdy00. Aspx? T1=PE7197+GR+XS&GASearchTerm=willo&srchcat=POPULAR_PRODUCTS)

I'm now VERY glad I debated a couple days because they sent me a free shipping offer after I left it in the cart. It sort of makes up for having to send it back because it was so unlike what was pictured/ described.

I ordered this in size XL which did seem to fit me adequately. The problem is that the appearance of the actual garment on a body, even allowing that I'm a bit chunky, was NOTHING like that in the website photo of a mannequin bust. The inner wrap of the closure buttoned at the side seam, but the outer did not wrap to the side seam as is pictured, but to a button about halfway between center front and the side seam.

The handkerchief hem that looked like it would drape and swing attractively around the hips, was a bunch of fabric projecting out as much as downward at either side of my hips, making them look wider. There were no points dropping down across the front, it was a solid horizontal band of the lighter green, again adding to the impression of width. It looks SO cute in the photo, but is one of the singularly least attractive garments I've ever tried on. The annoying part, of course, is that I've had to pay $16+ in insured return postage for the privilege of trying it on.

They really stressed that I'd best return it insured 'for my protection'... which leads one to wonder just what they'd say had happened if I didn't return it insured...

Further, though you can see in the link that it claims to be 100% cotton, the garment I received was clearly labeled 80%cotton/20% polyester. The whole experience inspires no confidence in the company's integrity. No matter how cute the photos look, I'll be reminded of the poorly designed, cleverly photographed overpriced clearance item that was just plain ugly in person.

And how disappointing it is not to have that cute jacket for our conference next week. I won't be ordering from Pyramid again. I have selected one star because this site would not let me post with zero stars.

Tip for consumers:

Don't do it.

Atrocious
November 8, 2017

I have been a customer of the pyramid collection for years, my mother started me on them, and I've always backed their quality. (I still do, but the way everything ended up, unless I am desperate I refuse to order from them.)
Recently I placed an order for a red and black reversible cloak, on Sept. 12,2017. After placing the order I was emailed and informed the item was on back order, which on their site it, was not listed as such. I called customer service about 7 days later to see possibly how long back order could take, and they assured me it should be in by October 13,2017 which would have been perfect. At this time nobody mentioned any issues processing my order as the money had been withdrawn I assumed everything was on track.
I waited until the week before October 13,2017 to call and check my order status, at that point it was still on back order and would hopefully be delivered on time, and if not I would officially have it by my Halloween party on the 28th. The Wednesday before Friday, October 13th, I called again, and come to find out my order was not processed, mind you 2-3 other calls did not reveal this, which I understood and took as my mistake due to trying to send it to my work rather than my official billing. So I asked to fix the order and place it, ONLY if I would have it before Halloween. The customer service rep ablidged by telling me she was approved to put me in for next day shipping so I would absolutely have the cloak by Halloween free of charge, which I should have questioned since I was still charged $15 on top of the original price of $120, but alas, I assumed they could not be that shifty and lackluster. Fast forward two days later, I am told it should be delivered by 8pm that evening by FedEx. Well I got a text confirmation it was delivered, and there was no package. I looked in the bushes, I asked the neighbors, I then had to call AGAIN to tall to customer service, the day of me needing my item. I was then told that's odd but it shows that it is in route to my house and I should have it by 3pm and to call if not. I was busy so I didn't get to follow up call for the non delivery later until about 6pm, then I was informed it was not ordered as next day delivery, but standard 7 to 10 business days and it was showing up as arriving the following week on Saturday. (After Halloween and after the party) which I had specifically told the representative who placed the order if it was not here by the 28th, I DID NOT WANT IT. So this honest representative and about the 5th one I spoke to gave me the truth, and I had asked to be transferred to a manager, surprise, surprise it took 20 mins to reach their voicemail, and surprise again, no returned phone call. So I placed the package in the mail TODAY November 8,2017 on their dime, and I expect a full refund. I will be calling back daily to see when it arrives since of course I was told they would get me a tracking number for a refused package, and that is also incorrect. Revised 11/27/17 I was given a refund of $120, no tax, and no shipping fee was reimbursed to my account, ANNNND no call back from this mystery manager!
Do NOT buy from this company, even in advanced, unless you have time to micromanage the entire process, or you are desperate for good quality. For the prices you should be given a bit more respect and assurance or at least some true information. I am very disappointed especially for what I was handed even with all of my patience.
