Liars & deceitful - AVOID!
July 2, 2021

UPDATE [July 28,2021] We finally got our vehicle. Avoid Puerto Rico Car Transport unless you want a lot of extra stress and uncertainty added to your move and want to spend weeks without your vehicle calling ports and trying to communicate with the companies they outsource your shipment to instead of taking care of it as they should.

UPDATE [July 22,2021] Our car is STILL sitting in Florida. It has now been a month since it has been sitting in Florida. We have been lied to by this company over and over again about when they will ship our vehicle and it has still not left Florida. Nearly all people I've spoken with here in Puerto Rico have had miserable experiences with Puerto Rico Car Transport and regretted handing over their vehicles to this company. The reviews here are misleading. The company seems to somehow be connected (if not the same) as Road Runner Auto transport (currently rated at 1.5 stars on Yelp out of hundreds of reviews). I know this because when I reached out to Puerto Rico Car Transport through their 'help' link I received an email back saying "New Support Ticket created", from '*******@roadrunnerautotransport.com'. Also, their websites look eerily similar. I already have 5+ of these support tickets, and no-one ever calls or replies or is reachable in any way through that emailing/ticketing system. Your only option to communicate with them is to possibly get in contact with someone through the online chat (during regular hours) where they will remind you that they are not liable for any delays ever in any way and that you've signed off on that when you booked with them, and then they'll continue to lie to you about how your vehicle will be on the "next ship". It's difficult for me to fathom that the port of Jacksonville, FL has not been able to put our vehicle onto a ship for roughly 30 days. How is it that every single other item I order (be it furniture sets, golf carts, generators, or solar panels) all of them are able to give a reasonable, estimated arrival date and not be a month late with no communication? Puerto Rico Car Transport is a scam. To anyone reading this, avoid shipping anything using Puero Rico Car Transport by all means! We are now kicking ourselves for not having outright purchased a car here in Puerto Rico, as we have now spent so much on rental cars already waiting for our vehicle to arrive!

ORIGINAL REVIEW [early July, 2021] This company is disgraceful. They have raised their price since we were originally quoted, added fees to the "total" after the fact, were late to pick up the vehicle, and are already over week late with delivery with no end in sight. Our vehicle remained within our state's borders for three days after pickup and then sat in Florida for the following weeks. Now they are stating that maybe they'll put it on a ship two weeks from today to arrive possibly over 1 month late! Their reviews are deceitful. The company asks you to 'review' them as soon as you've scheduled your shipment, at which point everything is fine because they haven't had the chance to do anything yet -- you are essentially reviewing their website and ease-of-use for signing up for an absolute miserable experience. They outsource the shipment process to smaller trucking companies but fail to inform them of timelines, deadlines, shipping dates, port reference numbers, etc. so those companies then start calling you, asking for you to provide this information to them because they have no idea what the itinerary is or where your vehicle is supposed to go and by when (they only see the tiny picture of their leg of the journey and nothing thereafter). I read bad reviews for this company and spoke to people who recommended we avoid them. I should have listened and avoided this company. The amount you'll pay for a rental car while you wait for this untrustworthy company to deliver your vehicle will far surpass in cost of what better companies charge to ship your vehicle more reliably. Furthermore, don't expect any communication from them regarding delays or anything regarding your vehicle's shipment once they have your money and vehicle. If you want to know where you vehicle is, ensure you have a GPS tracker installed or contact them through their chat feature. Calling them is pointless, as they are not available and their machine directs you to their online chat instead where they'll tell you that their policy covers them for shipment delays and will shift the blame to the shipping companies being backed up. Save your sanity and money and do NOT trust Puerto Rico Car Transport to ship your vehicle!

If anything changes, I will update this review.

Tip for consumers:

Their reviews are deceitful. The company asks you to 'review' them as soon as you've scheduled your shipment, at which point everything is fine because they haven't had the chance to do anything yet -- you are essentially reviewing their website and ease-of-use for signing up for an absolute miserable experience. They outsource the shipment process to smaller companies but fail to inform them of timelines, deadlines, shipping dates, port reference numbers, etc. creating a mess for you!

Do not Use this Company
March 26, 2021

Do not use this service. It is the most expensive and worse service. Read the other terrible reviews of this company on www.yelp.com. I used them to ship from Florida to Puerto Rico. At the beginning they don't stop calling you to get your service and promising that although they are the most expensive is because they give the best and most relievable service by providing information on the status as the car is being shipped and helping with the paperwork process in Puerto Rico. They promised information explaining the process for getting the car in Puerto Rico and processing the paperwork with Hacienda, but no matter how many times I have asked for the information, there is no response from this company. They also claimed that have bought spaces in the barge from Jacksonville to Puerto Rico and shipment don't have to wait for space available at the departure port with barges leaving twice a week to Puerto Rico. None of this is true. After researching, this company is not the shipping company, but an intermediary or middle man and that is why they are more expensive. Contrary to their claims, they have to wait for space available from the real shipping company. They seem to be a small office operating with a few people acting as if they were a big shipment company. My car was picked in West Central Florida on 3/9/21 and supposed to be shipped on the 3/16 arriving Puerto Rico on 3/19. The car never made it to Puerto Rico after I had bought tickets and made arrangement to travel to Puerto Rico to get the car. To this date (3/26/21), they haven't answered me on the whereabouts of my car not the shipment status. Their online tracking service is not a tracking service, as a matter of fact, it still shows the my car arriving Puerto Rico on 3/19. Their phones are never answered and a recording refers you to their chat service on line website, but there is no online chat service. The only option is messaging through their web site, which doesn't get answered either. Mr. James Agudelo, the sales person that promised all this service, doesn't answer his phone nor the messages left. Only one time a Ms. Alexandria Rivera answered an email with no useful information as if the car is lost someplace. I have replied Ms. Rivera to provide me the information for making a formal complaint to their management, but she doesn't answer either. The car is worth over $25,000 and it is as if they have my $25,000 and don't want to let me know what they are doing with it. I have real concerns that something happened to the car and they don want to respond. My next step is making a report to the authorities and getting a lawyer involved to take legal action. Do your self a favor and stay away from this company as also recommended by the other reviews. This company should not be allowed to operate. Do not get fooled by their answer to there reviews. If they were sincere, they would not be still getting these terrible reviews.

Be ready to do a lot of work if you use this company. Reps were ignoring my questions.
January 6, 2020

They do a good job with the "image" and selling their product. All falls apart once they have your business. I shipped my car with them from Alabama to Puerto Rico. First, the communication was not as great but at that point, I was just waiting to get my car picked up and sent to Jacksonville, FL. They gave me a car estimated time of arrival and with that date I booked my flight. The car ended up arriving earlier than expected therefore I ended up paying charges for a whole week at the receiving port. To make matters worse, all the directions they gave to pick the car were really "simple". Remember that even though they call themselves "shipping" company, they are just a booking company acting as a middle man between you and the real shipping company. Anyway, I later discovered that I needed to pick up the car at CROWLEY (they should have told me that) and when I came there, there was State paperwork that took at least two days going back and forth, they don't tell you that either. They make it sound like its all an easy process. One last thing... my original title. I'm still chasing this document because even though they say not to gove your title, it was needed for the pickup and the Jacksonville port. I asked Puerto Rico Transport to help out with tracking the document and guess what: they gave me a number to call. Their "award-winning" representatives did not say "Hey, we'll help out, that's our commitment". Nah they got your money anyway.

Bottom line. If you want to ship to PR or anywhere else... go direct to CROWLEY or any other Shipping company. You end up doing pretty much the same amount of work than with these guys. I knew they charged more but I as a CUSTOMER was willing to pay a little extra because I thought they were going to assist me. Today I asked them to give me information about where I can leave reviews for them and they said, " there are several sites on the internet", then they completely ignored me afterwords.

I'm a Federal employee and we have people coming back and forth to PR and they won't be using these guys for sure. I will make sure. What a SCAM. Please don't go the same path as I did, go straight to the shipping and/or hire somebody that can really be your leason between the shipping company and you.

Tip for consumers:

DONT use them. Go to the main shipping companies such as Crowley or Rosa del Monte.

I HAVE NEVER WORKED WITH A COMPANY AS POOR AS THIS ONE - PLEASE RUN AWAY FROM THEM
November 14, 2019

If I could put 0 stars I would.

I should have read the recommendations prior to start working with them.

I paid $2,000 to bring my car from Puerto Rico to PA. It is important to know that there is a port in PA 5 hours away from my house. Even though it is not too far, I decided to schedule my delivery Port to Door.

They lied about so many things, would not answer emails or calls, were very unprofessional and did not take any responsibility and when they did, they had an excuse.

They changed my delivery date 3 times on the shipment website.
The window for delivery is from 9am-9pm and nobody tells you if the delivery is delayed so you waste your whole day. I waited three days all day for this delivery.
The only thing they say is "the driver will call you 2-3 hours prior to delivery" and that is a lie. My driver called me 40 minutes prior to delivery on a day I was not expecting him (three days after they said it was coming for sure).
The customer service is less than poor. The people don't take responsibility for anything. They say they call the customers but that is a lie. "We ALWAYS call our customers I don't know why we didn't." Lies because not once, even when they knew I was not satisfied and my car was nowhere to be found, they didn't call me to let me know that my car wasn't coming.

They blame the carriers for the delays, but will not give you any updates unless you ask and ask and ask. It is very frustrating.

The only person that would answer was Alexis from Live Chat and she "doesn't know anything" and will repeat the same thing over and over again. I contacted every hour one day and she asked me why was I asking every hour and I explained that until she wouldn't give me a concrete answer, I was going to keep asking what was the update of my car.

In their website says that they have 24/7 online vehicle tracking and that is not true.

I asked to talk to a manager multiple times and I am still waiting for their call.

The only person that has talked to me other than Alexis is Alexandra. She says that they have over 500 deliveries and blamed the workload for their lack of service.

I work in customer service and I know what workload looks like, but this is not a problem of workload or things going wrong. The problem of this company if that they do not care for their customers. Their customer service is nonexistent and they don't take responsibility for the lack of it.

On top of everything, they didn't provide my car paperwork back and of course they don't answer the phones.

I could keep going but I am not going to waste one more minute talking about the bad service and the negative experience I had with them.
