Public Storage

I had to move my stuff into storage a couple of years ago to Public Storage. I no longer need this service, but I just now noticed that I was paying $51.00 when I moved in and now I am paying $75.00. I am not a math major, but this appears to be a 47% increase. Nothing has changed, I'm renting a 5 X 10 room with no heat, no A/C, and no maintenance. As usual, trying to communicate with the corporation has been difficult. I'm very dissatisfied with this service, and hope to never deal with them again.

I would not suggest this facility. I made a reservation here for my daughters Toyota Camry to be stored for the summer while she is home from college. I called Public Storage and was told there would be no problem with the car fitting in the 10 x 20 unit. Well, as it turns out the gate to get in is not 10 feet wide. It is only 7.5 feet wide which means we can't get the car in without damaging the side mirrors.

I understand completely that mistakes happen - HOWEVER - they tried to charge me a $29 "non refundable fee" for giving me wrong information! The only reason we made the reservation is the false information that we were given over the phone. We disputed it with our credit card company and also reached out to Public Storage multiple times via phone and email so it has taken a lot of my time to fix their mistake. I spoke with a man named Brisco today who made no apology and just said he would send it to collections (?!)

So, to confirm, they gave us completely wrong information and are trying to charge us $29 for their mistake? Look elsewhere to rent if this is any indication as to how they do business.

I have a unit in Manassas Va. At the Sudley Road location. I received an email informing me of a $52 monthly rate increase! Unbelievable and seemingly illegal. This facility does not police the grounds. I am constantly picking up nails and screws. Also, the paint on many of the doors is peeling and they have chosen to just paint over the peeling paint. The doors are also hard to raise and lower and very squeaky. And they have the audacity to stick me with a $52 rate increase. Renters beware! I will be taking my property from this facility ASAP!

I rented a storage unit and I wasn't able to go to the storage for over a year. Due to taking care of a love one. When I returned back to the unit to move my belongings out. Rats had done ripped into my belongings, urinated over my mattress and left rat droplets over everything. When I went to report it at the office the staff told me Im sorry we can't do anything because you declined the insurance. Seriously! I'm livid if I had known that this place was like this I wouldn't have never placed my belongings there. Paying 100.00 a month and always on time and I'm having to get rid of my belongings that I placed there and all I get was I'm sorry it happened to you. I have pictures of it if anyone wants to see them. I do not recommend them. If you have valuable things that you don't want damaged find you somewhere because public storage is not it.

Anji was great in helping me. I was moving from Portland to Bothell and tried to reserve a unit but I was10 days out and you only go 7 days out so I lost my spot and reserved another unit Anji stated that if one became available she would put me in and she did but wait that's not all when I couldn't get there before close she allowed my daughter to get for me, still more when I came the next day to get another unit as my first was not quite large enough she got me a promotion that was going on.
I was an assistant manager for a drug store for 10+ years so I know about customer service I was called a customer service nazai... lol she would have passed with flying colors she did and excellent job friendly joking laughing making it enjoyable to do business with. I observed her with another customer before she was able to help me, she treated him the same way! WTG ANJI THANK YOU SO MUCH

This storage facility at 48 Thomas Johnson Drive is a small, personal site, well run and carefully taken care of by staff. In particular, the day manager, Lotus, goes out of his way to answer questions, identify the latest company promotions, and locate the best storage unit for his customers. We are long time users of this facility and would recommend it to anyone! It is ideally located for folks who work at Ft. Detrick (just a block away) or to any the many high tech companies in the Walkersville-North Frederick City area.

Just went to book a storage unit. Met up with Feather Rae. She was so helpful. I have never had to rent one so took me out ot look at one wasn't big enough, she said no problem so I rented a bigger one.
She made the process so smooth, I didn't have to ask very many question she had answered them before I had to ask. When you have so much on your mind about moving its nice to have a person like Feather who really put my mind a ease our property will be safe and surcure. This lady is very good at her job and I would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you Feather.

I been a customer for a little over a year now, and let's say I yet have anything bad to say about the customer services yet. I would love for every one to know that there customer services there is wonderful. Tina who works at public storage is a wonderful worker. Every time I come to make payments she greet me with great customer services. I would love to give her a 10 star rating if I could. She always know how to make a person smiles and give great customer services. That's why I am still a customer at public storage and would remain da customer a little while longer.

Living in another state, Mrs. Pat makes it so easy. She has been extremely helpful to my sister and I. She is respectful, and just over all a great person. She has been very helpful in my current situation. Thank you mrs. Pat!

Wow! Talk about going above and beyond! We had the good fortune to meet and deal with Leala at the Public Storage located at Rainbow and Desert Inn roads in Las Vegas. Business #*******. We came in from a horrible trip from Michigan to get our storage vehicle and it wouldn't start. Leala got right on the phone and found us a company to come and jump it for us. While the tow company was very busy, she called friends and businesses that she knew and got us a room for the evening, all, I might add, at incredible prices! She sensed our stress, and by the time we left, she had us feeling much better about life. Thank you Leala, the world needs more people in public service like you girl!
