This website has been employing ransomware tactics. I represent one the businesses affected by it.

The website owner, upon request from a shady business or by their own initiative, creates a webpage aiming to collect reviews from people who used a particular product or service.

In reality, the website owner and their customer post fake reviews. They are fake because the review posters did not match with my customer relationship management (CRM) database, and the text they posted did not match with the intricacies of providing my product and service. This revealed that the persons posting and statements they are making are not real.

When we approached the website owner, they also revealed how quickly they can make a page disappear permanently and post a webpage of the competitor.

Oh man, I just checked out this new review website and its amaaaaazing! I was lookin around for some honest reviews on stuff I wanna buy and my boy was like broooo you gotta peep this new site, its got all the reviews for real.
