After sign up the system told me approval would take 2-5 days and someone would contact me. After 9, I messaged support and was told only the Onboarding team could help and I was supplied an email address. After 3 more days with no response I emailed again. Five days later, still no response, I reached out to support to cancel my account and was again told only the Onboarding team could delete accounts and was supplied the same email address.
Proof.com is a mess. I was trying to get something notorized for 45 minutes. I was connected with 4 different agents, and each time I got disconnected... I had to totally go through the validation process again. The first guy I was connected with could not see or hear me (my laptop tested ok). The second guy could see me but not hear me (my laptop test ok). The third woman was nice and could hear and see me, but the Proof.com system told her that one of my docs had invalid dates... even though she could see that the dates WERE VALID. Finally everything went well with the 4th guy, but I had decided that would be the last guy... I guess the universe heard me. What a mess!
When I submitted my notarized documents to the County of San Bernadino (California), it was rejected because the notary was indicated as being from out of country. I sent this info to Proof.com and they provided videos and pdfs that were supposed to convince the county to accept the notarization. When the county responded, they stated they could not accept the notarization and I asked proof.com for a refund.
Proof responded by telling me I should have checked first if the document would be accepted.

Hi,
I understand your frustration and thank you for your feedback. I recommend confirming with your documents recipient if an online notarization will be accepted and what is needed to move forward prior to meeting with an online notary. You can then discuss your needs with the notary during your signing.
Please let us know if there's anything else we can help you with by opening up a live chat or emailing us at *******@proof.com. You can also check out our Help Center for other helpful resources and answers to frequently asked questions.

I found this very unhelpful as the web site and information presented did not indicate a risk that I would have to mitigate by checking for acceptance before paying for the service.
In the end, I feel this was a terrible way to handle a service provided by Proof.com that I could not use.
