I ordered a box of N95 face masks online from this company's ad that came up on my Facebook newsfeed. I had a feeling it might be a scam because the company's website (ProfessionalWorldStore.com) uses a NY address but it's not really this company, it's just a mailbox store. All the photos on their website are generic stock photos and the text has a flavor of not being written by a native speaker of English. Normally I would never order from a sketchy website like Professional World Store and I am usually super cautious about ordering anything from Facebook ads because they are notorious for being scammy.
I figured maybe the masks were going to end up shipping from overseas but I was desperate and went ahead and ordered them. These masks are impossible to find here due to Covid-19. In the comments on their Facebook ads people keep asking how long it takes to receive them and they always answer back saying you'll get delivery in 6 -8 days. Well, it's now been 18 days since I ordered and I still have not received.
After a few days they sent a tracking number from a courier I had never heard from before called FalconExpress.org which indicated maybe they shipped from Spain (not totally sure). FalconExpress handed the package off to USPS a few days after that and tracking then referenced to a new USPS tracking number. That tracking number says that USPS is awaiting receipt of the package and it has been frozen on that same message (no further movement of the package for that tracking for over 2 weeks).
I emailed the company to see what was going on with the package. They wrote back a couple of days later saying it is in transit and on its way to me. I wrote back saying it is actually not "in transit." The status from USPS is not "in transit." It is just saying that USPS is waiting to receive the package. My suspicion is that the package is being held up in customs because (A.) it's N95 masks that are probably supposed to only be going to frontline healthcare workers, and (B.) they may be holding back parcels that are coming from countries that got hit hard by Coronavirus (such as Spain, Italy, China).
I have lost hope that these masks will reach me any time soon and after awhile they won't be needed by me anymore. I have contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. I do not recommend ordering masks from this company and I regret doing so. I am back to my normal suspicion of ever ordering anything from an unfamiliar company off a Facebook ad.
Answer: I ordered 18 days ago and still have not received them. I got a tracking number from an overseas carrier called FalconExpress.org who handed off to USPS and provided a new tracking number but that tracking number has never shown any movement for 15 days. It just says USPS is waiting to receive package from overseas carrier. I think maybe they shipped the masks but they are stuck in customs due to coronavirus restrictions on packages from hard-hit countries like Spain, Italy, China. I suspect they will never get here. I put in a dispute with my card company yesterday.
