When trying to pay by credit card -
1) displayed 'Individual payments GBP 3.00 (Adjustable by merchant)'. I don't want them adjusting payment. Which may also enable them to take whatever they like, whenever they like.
2) displayed 'We will store these card details. If you are not the cardholder it is your responsibility to get permission for any payment(s) to be taken, and inform them of changes to the amount.'
Unless you contact us, we will use this card for future payments in line with the agreement indicated above.
Did not agree to this condition so got 'error' message - You must accept the agreement in the 'Use of payment card details' section to proceed.
What on earth makes them think they can use my credit card how they like?

I paid up £25 for a business membership for 1 year a month later they trued taking another £25,out my bank now they won't place my ads they say I need business membership which I already paid avoid them at all cost.

Sold many things on Preloved, by post or by just meeting people on the Street, and I have a free account with Preloved, but it looks like who ever is in charge at Preloved wants to get rid of the likes of me, as we don't pay anything to use Preloved Site, with 12 and Half Tax Free Allowance on Selling Personal Assets it's been a blessing to be on Preloved, but will be shifting things on to a new site, as I don't plan to pay anything to sell anything.

I regret ever paying them they have the most awful customer service and nothing but dodgy

Item advertised had been sold one day earlier, had to pay £5 to get contact details for an item that was no longer available. Advised Preloved who effectively said tough we got your monies and keeping it. Avoid paying to become a full member as you could be buying useless contact information.

Buyer or seller alike, you risk more than a couple of quid here if you sell OR buy.
Would you give out your personal details to enhance the nefarious behaviour of scammers? No, of course you wouldn't! Then WHY does an unlicensed and non compliant to legal registration's web site, entertain YOUR personal information to become available to 3rd party voyeurs? The help yourself attitude is furthered by the pre constructed, question boxes provided, when a potential buyer is free to ask a seemingly harmless, pre formatted question, " Is it still available? " Any child of 3 years old can press that button and so can a scammer, who is solely intent of making contact to get of further details of YOU and NOT the item being sold. Not saying that ALL communications are resultant of this procedure but after being in contact with 50+ sellers in this venue, an overwhelming response from them, indicate that this IS the situation. Indicative coincidences for instance, is the consistency of enquirers whose page names end in " a",, Peta, Anna, Alina, etc. All of which, ( after they have got your attention towards the ridiculous question of " is it still available ", rather than construct a more credible question about the item itself, they further respond with asking immediate details of where you live, can I have your bank details etc etc. Anything but an associative question about the item! Did you also know that this venue does not even hold certification to retain the information you register with them, on file? Moreso, neither does one of their newer associations, YOTI! A firm with less cred than preloved itself ( see https://justuseapp.com/en/app/*******/yoti-your-digital-identity/reviews) for overwhelming detail and this is suppose to instil a feeling of more security, according to preloved, who are now asking sellers to join the ranks and become APPROVED sellers? The process involves you providing THEM with just about every detail, document and actual photographic evidence of yourself, that, in the unlicensed hands ( and they are NOT licensed OR approved OR certified in the UK) would be more than sufficient for a scammer or ANY other nefarious character to assume your identity and clean you out! So, as you will have perceived,,,, do you really want to open yourself up to this risk? They could of course ( had they felt that their viewing users of the venue were at any singular risk) utilised the services of GOOGLE identity registrations or similar. Any in fact, that had more credence than what they have now... But, they didn't and haven't. End of..

Terrible experience with Preloved, I am a hobby business and they got the impression that I was a fully-fledged business so decided to stop me sending messages until I upgraded to business version which is more than £20 a month. I only make about a thousand pounds a year so there is absolutely no point in doing this.

I tried to set up another account, and they blocked that one as well.
DO NOT USE PRELOVED - HORRIBLE STAFF and terrible customer service. I have lost hundreds of pounds worth of sales because of this.

Beware dodgy site upgrade - If you want to click on an ad that is less than 12 days old you have to pay £5 for an upgraded membership. When an item is sold it doesn't get removed from the site. So if you want to ask if something has sold you have to pay! Or wait 12 days. There are plenty of free sites out there - best avoid these thieves.

I joined preloved in 2009 for £5 a year. I joined as we breed and show guinea pigs. The ones that arent suitable for show we sell on as pets. Anyone knows who has several guinea piggies knows they are not cheap to look after.
The money we make is my daughters as they are her piggies and its soon spent on fresh hay treats toys etc for piggies.
I have been constantly bombared up grade your preloved account to £ 20 a month to sell little guinea pigs its ridiculous.
They never leave you alone constantly blocking adverts etc to make you upgrade.

Great site. I wanted to find out where I can sell my secondhand and some unwanted new gifts and Preloved showed up on the Google search. I don't like eBay cuz there I neva can sell at the price I want, its for absolute bargain hunters who won't pay reasonable money and the hassle of arranging the delivery is too much for me. Here on Preloved, however its absolutely FREE to advertise for a private seller which is perfect and its all very simple & straightforward. You can be a buyer or seller or both on this one, but the listings are completely free if not a business. And after listing some items and waiting patiently, Ive managed to get some money for some of the stuff that had been just gathering dust. Absolutely fab. Highly recommended.
