Assisted me with preventing a real yard calamity in the middle of winter. Previous owner of the house didn't winterize lines and I had no idea where the secondary water valve was. Thank you!
This site just gathers information for Angi and sites like that? Do not put in your information. They will keep hounding you until the end of time
I wish I would have checked before using this site. It is NOT an interior design site, it is a site that collects your personal information and then you get tons of unwanted solicitations!
Tip for consumers:
Its a scam

I signed up for a quote on the site and learned that it is NOT an interior design company. It is a site that collects your personal information and sends it to lots of contractors who will then send unwanted soliciations.
They act like a real company for the service you need, but they really don't do the service and try to get you to another co. I will only call local from nite on. What a joke.
Called for a roof estimate and got sold to Angie's list and Home advisory. If I wanted to list through those site I would have directed my business that direction
Tip for consumers:
Run

Not a company. Exists only to send recommendations to others who will spam your phone with service offerings that don't actually pertain to your issue.
Tip for consumers:
They do not provide any service at all. They simply forward your info to third parties who will then spam you with offers.
After checking off a few projects I wanted quoted i got BOMBARDED with calls, text messages and emails. Very annoying. Will never use this site again.
Tip for consumers:
Do not use this site

This is a bait and switch and when you call, you get a Leaf Filter representative and they are pushy about wanting to make sure both spouses are at the quote visit.
Powell and Sons doesn't exist. It's a web site that gathers your contact information and forwards it to Angi, Home Advisor, and other similar companies. What a waste.
The "request for estimate" sends you to Angi's list where they give your number out to the masses and you will receive multiple calls/texts of people that have been matched to your project. The contractor has no idea what your project even is. DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM!
They are not a company, they are a third party who gives your contact information out to contractors as though you are incapable of searching online resources yourself.
Tip for consumers:
Very misleading ad, do not complete the form online
Apparently not a real contractor as I believe they imply... just a referral service to other contractors similar to Angi and the like. NOT what I expected.
Can't even get ahold of a number to contact them. They can't be bothered to contact you, and instead send a bunch of scam callers to call you. May you lose business for this scam

None. Tried but they clearly don't want business
As soon as I clicked the button I received 4 calls from companies that received Angi's leads. Scammer site and it hurts the companies looking for leads.
Looks like a real local contractor website but you get inundated by contractors, many who don't do the work you are looking for.
This site pretends to be a service website, but actually forwards the lead to Angie's List. Dishonest
Tip for consumers:
Use real local service providers, and stay away from this referral service that hurts those providers

This site spoofs real sites based on Google search criteria, and when someone enters their contact info for a service quote, that info is sent to Angie's List. They are costing me money, because I pay for my own website, and people fill out my form... and they often fill out a form on the powellandsons.com website... which is then forwarded to Angie's List, and then again to me. Then I get charged a lead fee from Angie's List. Seems unscrupulous. Definitely hitting my pocketbook.
If you fill out their request an estimate you will immediately receive calls and texts from tons of other gutter companies! It has been non-stop!
Don't fill out their form. You will get calls and text from every company in the state wanting to come to your house.
Bogus ads. Does not respond or hear from other sub-contractors wasting your time. Another reason to hate internet ads and Google. 8
Tip for consumers:
don't use wanna be jobber??

These jerks, advertise on the internet that they are local and the can do jobs. Then sell you info to everyone.
Have sent several quote requests. No one contacted me in any shape of form. Do not try to request a quote.

nothing never received a quote.
Don't fill in your info unless you want 100's of aggravating unsolicited calls. This a a sales SCAM!
Tip for consumers:
DO NOT fill in your info. You'll get unsolicited calls. Porch Services and a bunch of other companies will call instead of the single company Powell and Sons.

NONE . I was too mad to talk to any of the companies.
This is not shower or tub business as advertised, it's a lead capture business that sells your info!
Tip for consumers:
It's a lead generation company!

Non, it just sold my contact info to multiple vendors .
We asked for a simple downspout replacement, but what we got was repeated calls from Gutter Cover Companies. They are not trustworthy!
Tip for consumers:
Tired of off hours calls from unrelated companies

Dont think youre contacting a roofing/insulation company. Its a broker. Youll be bombarded by companies calling and emailing you. Beware!
Omg, omg. What an ordeal. The Birmingham AL website is a fake site, ultimately directing you to an endless storm surge of ANGI member phone calls, emails and texts within seconds of hitting that send button. DON'T HIT SEND, YOU WILL BE SORRY! It's probably not the members fault, as they are real companies trying to make a living, and they may not be aware of what happens, but shame on ANGI for using false websites to try and HOOK you into paying higher prices or becoming an ANGI user or member, whatever the hell that means. I spent an hour on the phone with ANGI Corp office being removed from the DO NOT EVER CONTACT ME AGAIN list. Deceitful, false advertising, and the worst part is that I never even heard from a licensed general contractor or remodeling company for my "project" to replace a very old, large deck that was damaged by a huge fallen tree and add a screened in porch. This was my experience on this website and I feel bad for all the people involved, including the ANGI representative who wasted her valuable time removing me from the ANGI do not disturb list because of this particular website. Time is money to all. Whatever happened to transparency? A little truth goes a long way with me. I have no proof of purchase because I had no call from anyone who could handle my entire project. All I received was aggrivation. Browser for construction, company Beware.
They called, he gave a quote. Said he would send an email to be from the quote. NOTHING. Don't bother.
