For real guys? I appeal 4x with actual evidence that would hold up in court, and you're like, "screw you we don't care." Haha, finally reached out to the hotel as a registered guest and they said don't waste my time with you all and they took care of the bogus parking fine. Get a life guys.
Dont waste your time on popla. They are not independent, as they get a share of the money you pay to the oprator who issue your PCN at the first place, so if your parkingeye issue a pcn and your challenge was rejected, its most likely will be rejected by popla too
Recently appealed against a parking fine from INITIAL Parking, M/cr. I paid for my parking via phone as I had done previously but as my car was in the garage and had a hirecar which I forgot to add the reg no when I was purchasing the ticket. I had a valid ticket but had my own car reg on. They issued me with a £30 fine which I appealed against to POPLA. It took for POPLA at least 1 month to reply and kept coming back for more info. They have now come back and declined my appeal not only that INITIAL Parking are charging me £100 saying that is the cost. Why at 9am the charges to pay were £60 by 11.00 it went up to £100. This is just mass greed from INITIAL PARKING and I am convinced that POPLA is also in it. I have not been treated fairly and disseminated against my Disability as having ADHD & Dyslexia but all that didn't interest POPLA. I am disgusted they way you have handled my case and I hope that you can sleep at night!
All you have done stopping motorist to appeal as frightened of charges going up. Drivers have bear the unfair and extortionate charges, and you are just encouraging cowboy private parking firms to continue with this practice. I thought the new measures announced from the Government announced recently (7 February 2022) would protect us from unfair and extortionate charges, but obviously not if they have the POPLA backing. We have had to pa £100 for unnecessary charges whilst waiting for you to respond we get penalised. Disgraceful!
Tip for consumers:
If you appeal be careful as the cowboys out there will be adding to your fine and wont be on hold until you know the outcome of your appeal.
