This is first encounter with PhotoBooksPro. A test to see how it looks. Plan to order additional if satisfactory.

Easy upload of Aperture-generated layout, easy navigation through many book choices. The first book I ordered had some scuff marks on the cover, and text on an inside page was partially invisible as it was too close to the margin and covered by the glued prior page (same setting produced legible text by Apple printing services). PhotobooksPro responded by requesting a photo of the scuff marks. I did not send the photo as the marks are barely visible on the photos.
I edited the text away from the margin and ordered a second version. This one was perfect, except for fingerptints on the (black) cover.

There were a few glitches with the website, connecting to pages that weren't available. I was also not able to get a preview of the die-cut cover I ordered.

I noticed print was somewhat darker than I anticipated and quality was not quite as sharp as I'd hope BUT - it was just fine overall and I will print with you again.

I haven't gotten my book yet so I can't speak to the quality of the book I ordered, but as far as using the website to order, it was a bit easier and faster than I expected it to be be to create a book. (I chose this site because I wanted to make PDFs of my old "paper" scrapbooking pages and turn them into a bound book. There are lots of sites for creating photobooks where you upload photos, but not so many where you upload one big PDF for the interior of a book!)

Easy to use. Saved me as I had created book in Aperture to find out Apple no longer supported. Saved to pdf and dropped in to the program.

Overall the printing was beautiful, and I was very happy with the book. My only disappointment was that there was a black dot on the cover of the wedding book I created. It wasn't hugely distracting, but I did notice it right away. I plan to keep that copy for myself and order another one for my son and his wife. If that one contains problems I will definitely return it for repair!

The web page was not clear, but the assistance I received from the chat room cleared up the confusion. The process of ordering the book was easy.

Challenging in that I am shopping without knowing the product - I am going on the hope all will be OK...
VERY disappointed with the cost of freight being more than the cost of the book!!! Yes, I could have chosen the cheaper option, but really the choice is limited if I needed it in a reasonable time frame... Apple can ship a book for quite minimal price from order to home in 10 days - seems (as is quite common) that a US Shipping Company sees an overseas order as a good money earner?
Lets hope this might improve to be more realistic in the future?

I'm happy to use a shop which can manage Apple's Aperture photo books. The setup is straight forward and easy to use.

I like the book I ordered. I had a few letters cut off on some pages due to making the book in another program and I thought I had adjusted them but I guess not good enough.

This was my first purchase. It was a softcover book, which came out very well. NOTE: I constructed the book in Aperture (which I strongly prefer to the new 'Photos' application for the Mac), exported a PDF, and uploaded that to photobooks.pro for printing.

The website has to be refined. I uploaded 3 photo books, only on 1 of them I got a visual feedback that the upload is active. With the first book the upload was successful after several attempts. This is the reason I had a separate order for it, I was afraid that other uploads could fail and I wanted to have at least one album. I tried to put text on covers, however the text was not uploaded. The text was less important than the delivery date and I did not want to risk that the books will not be delivered in time, so I ordered them without text.
Anyway the quality is comparable with the Apple service and the price was a little bit better. Probably I will use the service next year again.

Had trouble. Site not very user friendly for us old folks. Took me two days to figure out how to order what size book. But once I got the feel of it, went pretty smooth.

Color match of photo printing is inferior. Huge variations in cover color from order to order. Simply not professional grade.

Great service - prompt answers to my queries and the book arrived very quickly after confirmation all was good.

Your well qualified rep Connie, was so very patient with me. It was my first time at your site since I can no longer print my books through Aperture. Expeditions rates are very expensive

the website was well laid out and easy to follow. I liked the option of being able to upload an entire pdf, but wished that there was more flexibility as to the chioce of sizing options afterwards. I had to reload my photo book manually page by page to be allowed the opportunity to choose the size book i needed.

The only thing I'm not thrilled about is that the color quality isn't that great (it' OK but not super rich) and also that there's no way to "shrink" down a true 8.5 x11 piece of paper to make 8.5x11 books. Because of the trim size, if you scrapbooked on an 8.5 x 11 and are turning it into a book, you're going to lose some stuff on the trims...I suppose that's probably just something you have to accept. It's better than nothing...but it's really not ideal. But then again, how many of your customers are using this specifically for turning old scrapbooks into paper books? LOL

This comment is before the book is delivered but it's a good site. Looking forward to seeing the results.
