My company subscribes to Panjiva's US import data to help understand what our particular market looks like. Their database is intuitive and easy to use. Furthermore, if we ever have questions, our dedicated customer service person at Panjiva is easily available to answer any questions and give our team pointers on how to use the database more efficiently. It's an expensive subscription, but if you use it right it's very powerful.
I believe companies such as this that make money off of handing out (public records or not) MY hard earned Proprietary information are unfortunate leeches. Blood, sweat, tears and a lot of money was put into finding my own quality manufacturer... and I find it on your site for sale. Shame on you all. The low ball people who are looking to rip this information off should also have had to find it them selves the hard way. You're all a bunch of scum bags. Where's MY CUT of the subscription money you get paid to share my information? Why was my permission not asked? While 'technically legal' this is totally unethical and I could NOT have a lower opinion of your company.

I have never given you permission to display this information and I don't even know who you are.

I signed up for their services and was not happy with their service and respond time was very slow.
This looks like an empty package scalping scheme. I have never heard of this company before and received an empty package from them. Seems they are trying to boost their numbers by buying stolen personal information and unsolicited shipping of empty boxes. I would´t trust them if I were even looking for such a company, which I am not.
Panjiva I am angry with your company. Do you know you violate people's privacy by exposing people? If someone is being protected from a murderer do you know you would play a role in someone's death? Stop posting people information on the Internet. Guys I emailed the company asking for my information be removed they played me no mind. Only after my lawyer got involved it was taken down in less than 13 hours. Shame on you Panjiva not professional. BAD BUSINESS.
Wth. Why is my company & our imports info is on google? This is unethical!

This is the worst company in USA they stealing your data and sold it they have there on law I called them to remove my data from google one of the lady threats me
They have bad attitude illiterate people
This company are a bunch of scammers and law breachers. They suposely sell you access of private bussines data of companies and individuals, that they get for free from US goverment agencies, and that anyone can get from. If you suscribe you will find pretty basic information of names imports and value of imports with no datails at all. If you request a refund of your money you will never get it. Stay away from this company. In many countries (like in Europe) this company could be sued and pay millions for exposing and posting online private and personal data of companies without their knowledge.
Why is it okay to put out peoples name and address for the world wide web to see. Including bill of sale this is a breach of confidentiality. No one is told that this will happen but I can assure you my work is a big company and I have a big mouth and will be telling anyone and the companies here that you put the information on line for everyone to see. Panji does not care about customer confidentiality
Lori, all of our information comes from public sources. For instance, the U.S. government is required by law to make bills of lading public. We believe that we provide a valuable public service by organizing this information and making the business of global trade more transparent. That said, we have no interest in personal information (and believe personal information should be kept private!). If your personal information is on Panjiva, please email our team (privacy+sj@panjiva.com), and we'll remove it. - Josh Green, CEO
Panjiva is publishing my company's import/export data without my permission. They are using my company's name to enrich themselves. Additionally, they do a great job at manipulating their online ratings. Read reviews with caution. Take the good reviews with a grain of salt.
Data is completely false, they claim it's based on public records, in my case such records don't exist.
Nana, nearly all of our data originates with government agencies. If you want to email me directly — josh@panjiva.com — I'd be happy to look into your record specifically and share the data source.

Hello everyone under PIPEDA office of privacy commissioner. You can file a complaint against Panjiva to take your information down. How unprofessional of panjiva to expose people's privacy to the world. Do you know your identity can be stolen through panjiva's selfishness?
Hi, Anonymous. Though the information we receive is a matter of public record in the United States, we have no interest in publishing personal information. Please contact our team (privacy@panjiva.com) or me directly (josh@panjiva.com) to have your information removed.

Really very disappointed with Panjiva for this kind of work. It was not expected from company like Panjiva.
Sincerely,

This company publishes my full name and shipment details online without my permission. When people search for my name their silly listing comes up, very annoyed. Yes US customs is the worst offender by making my personal information available to those who seek it, this is them made much worse by Panjiva publicizing it. They should cease this bad practice. An individuals private shipment and their details are nobody's business but that person and the shipment company. The government should pass a law to control the information US customs and Panjiva can access.
I agree that information about individuals should not be made public! We do our best to remove personal information from our database, but we don't always get it right.
To have your personal information removed from Panjiva, simply email josh(at)panjiva(dot)com.
One of Panjiva's key data sources is U.S. customs data -- which makes records of all waterborne shipments into the United States available to the public. Panjiva uses this data to compile profiles of companies -- but we have no interest in personal information. As soon as we are notified that personal information is on our site, we take it down. So, if you've found your personal information on Panjiva, please email me!

I can see my address and phone number online! This is outrageous! I think its illegal. I wrote to them to take it out. If they wont do it I will push for legal case!
Noone should USE YOUR INFO DON'T WANT TO BE ROBBED IN FUTURE!
Kat, the information that you found comes from the public record (U.S. Customs data). However, we do NOT want to publish personal information. (We're in the business of collecting and publishing information about businesses.)
Please email me directly -- josh(at)panjiva.com. I will ask our privacy team to find and remove your information!

Panjiva is a good source for suppliers, However they are not very honest and charge your credit card without authorization.
I took out a subscription for one month and told them not to charge my card the next month. They still did and still have not reversed the charge.
To make matters worst they harass you and harass you. Their sales tactics are totally unprofessional and unethical.
I have been wanting to subscribe again but afraid too because I do not want my card charged for second month and neither do I want the harassment to begin again
Johnice, I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience. I hope you'll be in touch with me directly -- josh(at)panjiva.com. At a minimum, I want to make sure that we promptly refund any unauthorized charges! Also, I am horrified to hear that our team harassed you, and I want to better understand exactly what happened. A few notes:
* Panjiva offers monthly subscriptions that, renew automatically. You -- and all of our customers -- can cancel anytime, and we always remind you when your subscription renews. If your subscription renewed and you didn't want it to, just let us know! We'll happily refund you.
* I'm very troubled to hear that you were harassed. We do market to our past clients to encourage them to make use of Panjiva if they ever need us in the future, but every email includes an option to opt-out of future communication from Panjiva. If you received too many emails -- or the emails didn't include an option to opt-out -- I want to hear about it!
Josh Green
CEO, Panjiva
Don't get involved with Panjiva. After we cancelled our subscription they relentlessly bombarded us with renewal offers. And eventually, if you don't renew, they will agressively promote your own shipping documents over the Internet to attract new subscribers. A very vindictive company. Panjiva doesn't seem to value a customer relationship or the possibility of your repeat business with them in the future. Instead they burn bridges. Also, I am not convinced that their services are any better than doing your own search queries. Panjiva touts all kinds of technology, bells and whistles for data search, but for our company it did not reveal anything new.
Dan, I'm sorry you didn't get value from Panjiva. If you're interested in having a brief conversation, I'd love to learn more about what you were hoping to accomplish and where we fell short. You can email me at josh(at)panjiva.com.
However, I do want to be clear that we provide information, drawn from public sources, about ALL companies involved in global trade -- regardless of whether or not they are paying customers. If any of our employees suggested that we would be publishing information BECAUSE you didn't renew, this was absolutely wrong -- and I would like to hear about it immediately. I hope you'll be in touch!

This should actually be 0 star.
This company is extremely unethical and place people's lives in jeopardy.
They literally collect shipping data from US customs and publish this data on their site. With names and addresses of the shipper. They apparently under a questionable loophole under the freedom of information act. If you've ever shipped anything via sea to the US and you're a victim of ID fraud, then this company should be held responsible.
If you fall in this category, just search for your name and city on Google and you'll see your shipment details, with your address on this site.
Completely callous and unethical company.
David, we always remove personal information about individuals. Please contact me directly -- josh(at)panjiva.com -- and I will make sure that your personal information is removed.
We do believe that public information about COMPANIES involved in global trade should be as accessible as possible. Unfortunately, the information that we receive from governments around thew world includes both corporate and personal information. Though we do our best to remove personal information, our process isn't perfect. So we always appreciate when we hear from people whose information made it onto our site.
I hope to hear from you!

First of all, I asked for a free demo to see whether the system really works out. They replied next day with a long e-mail, asking same information that I already put on the system. Anyway, I replied this mail in details and waited for a call for the demo or at least another mail. After 3 days I still didn't get any call or mail. Then I decided to write them again. Explained my request and asked couple simple questions, which could be answered only in 2 mins. However, I didn't get any response for that mail either.
Honestly, I was a potential customer who was ready to register on the system but not anymore. If they don't even have a time to reply a simple e-mail then they don't deserve my money. One of the worst customer service I have ever seen!..
Panjiva publishes import/export data without a company's permission. Panjiva also refuses to take down any company listed --- which is listed without the company's authorization -- from their web site. Their staff is also very rude -- if you call them to request to remove your company from their database --- something that their competitors do --- they actually hang up the phone on your face without hesitation. Hope they go out of business soon.
As the CEO of Panjiva, I am horrified to hear that anyone at Panjiva was rude to you!
You are correct regarding our policy -- we believe that public information about companies involved in global trade should be as accessible as possible. So we do not remove information about companies, regardless of whether the information is flattering or unflattering.
That said, there is no excuse for anyone at Panjiva being rude, and I will discuss with our staff. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Customer service sucks, nobody answer the phone, online chat helps nothing but tells you to send email to them, and when you do send email, nobody EVER replys!
They just take the money and disappears
Ruyan, I hate that you had a bad experience! Shoot me an email. Josh(at)Panjiva.com. I can't find an account under your name, but I would like to dig into what happened with your account -- and make sure our process is tightened up. And, of course, we'll make sure you get a refund.

This company publishes personal import/export data without the person's permission. Your personal data will be published by them even if you only shipped some personal belongings from abroad. Those founders are terrible money-oriented people.
