I am very satisfied with my purchase. I'm extremely glad they came with instructions and they were easy to follow. My only concern after reading them was preparing the base. I didn't have much room to work with, 3/8' on each side. Luckily I was able to use 3/8' plywood to create a base. Everything was packaged extremely well and I just finished installing them. They came out beautifully. I would highly recommend these columns to anyone.
Complete incompetence- produced wrong work product after multiple emails and phone calls on my part to make sure you got it right. You need to fire the sales rep Elizabeth Hatch that worked with me. I even wrote on the final drawing that I scanned and sent that the pedestal base should have 'square' rather than 'rounded' corners. You sent 'rounded' corners. Your insulting solution was to offer a $40 credit. Seriously? The columns don't match the design of my house and you won't respond or send revised material to correct - but after numerous emails you offer a $40 credit on a $700+ order? Shame on you! I'm trying to escalate via multiple channels including my credit card company, social media and the better business bureau. You guys should just close up and go home. Shame on you. Will never order from you again and I'll do all I can to see that others don't endure the pain I suffered. Any other company would step up and admit they made a mistake. You guys don't even offer to send revised work product. A $40 credit is insulting. Please respond
PCI says "Based on the photos you sent, the defects shown are a result of damage sustained in transit. Damage was not noted on the carrier's bill of lading which releases them and our production team of liability. Because of this, I [PCI] cannot provide free replacements or a refund."
CAUTION #1 - If you buy their columns, DO NOT allow the freight carrier to depart until ALL cartons are opened and inspected. DO NOT allow them to leave without first documenting any damage on the Proof of Delivery (POD) and DO get the driver's signature on it and retain a copy. DO get photos BEFORE they come off the truck and photos of ANY damage to cartons and product. Our shipment weighed 560 pounds and the columns weigh in excess of 100 pounds each. Insist that the freight carrier assign two men to get the columns off the truck WITHOUT YOUR ASSISTANCE when they call to set a delivery appointment.

D. It reads in part:: Consignee Duty and Liability: A Clear Supreme Court Holding and Its Progeny
Unlike many other situations, here, there is very clear case law on this point. The United States Supreme Court has squarely held that the duty to unload goods rests upon the consignee:
The general rule is that it is the responsibility of the carrier... to `deliver' the goods by placing them in such a position as to make them accessible to the consignee. Normally unloading is not a part of the delivery and is performed by the consignee.
PREPARATION FOR SHIPMENT - PCI may not have packaged correctly. In view of the apparent fragility of the columns, notwithstanding PCI Online claims to the contrary, the columns fractured. Regardless of how the damage was inflicted, and by whom, mere cardboard boxing of columns stacked upon one another and banded to a pallet less in length than the overhanging eight-foot columns does not afford adequate protection. Additionally, NO SPECIAL HANDLING REQUIREMENTS appear anywhere in any PCI website pages or available pdf literature.
CONCLUSION: In view of the above, it is my VERY STRONG RECOMMENDATION that you DO NOT purchase products from PCI unless you can obtain a written and signed agreement from them that THEY ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY AND LIBILITY FOR ANY AND ALL DAMAGE TO THE SHIPMENT UNTIL IT IS DEPOSITED ON YOUR PROPERTY BY THEIR CARRIER and THEY obtain "CARGO GOODS IN TRANSIT INSURANCE" for the shipment AT THEIR EXPENSE.
Tip for consumers:
Keep a log of ALL events (letters, emails, phone calls) between purchase and delivery.
Do NOT fail to inspect for concealed damage PRIOR to release of delivery agent on purchases of this sort!

Wasn't made aware that the item shipped. Glad it arrived when it did, but wasn't aware that it had been shipped.
Delivery took twice as long as estimated. It took weeks to get responses. We got passed around to different sales people. Experience was disappointing.
Your salespeople do not describe the products accurately to the potential customers. Your on site packaging and delivery continues to be very bad.
I have not had a chance to unpack the columns and inspect closely, but I couldn't be happier with the efficiency of order placement and delivery. I had a very professional, courteous salesperson. The ability to order high quality products with such ease has made building our first home much less intimidating

The lady I spoke to helped me get my order in. notified me when it was shipped and when to receive it. it was done on time. very good service.
The columns are absolutely amazing. They are so much heavier and sturdier than what I expected. We did have to trim them significantly to make them fit, but they still look great.
We were very pleased with the columns and the price, however, there
was a lot of damage in shipping which was disappointing. We will now get
to evaluate customer service as we will need replacement products in the
immediate future. Hopefully, in future shipments, more care is taken.
the products seem to be made of quality material cant wait to install.Problem was both my columns were broke.2 new ones will be shipped today. I hope they include the mounting hardware for the scamozzi capitals that was left out the first shipment.
Cant wait to get them up hope it all works well.

Had to order just one half column to replace one that was ordered several years ago for a customer. Simple order right? I even sent them the previous invoice that the customer had on file to make sure it was right. They GOT IT WRONG!! and to top it off they sent the estimate to the customer and never to me the contractor who initiated the request for a quote. Then I was transfered to 2 different reps before reissuing me a quote. IT WAS WRONG AGAIN!!! All they had to do was duplicate the previous column on the previous quote I sent to them!!!Then I finally ordered the comumn aftewr back and forth conversations and checked on it a few days later and found out that it was cancelled. No one seemed to know why it was done SOOOOO we went through the process again and they GOT IT WRONG AGAIN . It's one column for crying out loud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! finally after literally hours of my time spent with multiple reps and checkout people it was finally ordered. They said it would ship in 7-10 business days. WRONG! Finally it is here but the effeort to order one column was agonizing. Then to top it off, another rep emails the CUSTOMER and not me and asks them if there is something more they can help with future orders.
I've been in the remodeling business for 30 yrs and never have I been through such lame, incompetent customer service and that's being kind.
Bottom line, BAD,BAD,BAD dealings with this company.
The columns I ordered are beautiful. Very strong and high quality. They look beautiful on my new wrap around porch. I would highly recommend Pacific columns to anyone looking for beautiful, high quality columns.
One of the columns was damaged. The bottom was caved in about 5" up. Fortunately, the bottom column cap cover was 6" tall and we did not need the column to be load bearing.

columns should have been delivered on a flat bed trailer. They were delivered in an enclosed trailer and it was VERY difficult to unload.
My first delivery of aluminum columns was received 90% damaged. The protective boxes were torn badly, 7 of the 8 column pieces were either scratched, bent, dented or crushed. Had to wait three more weeks for a replacement shipment (they only shipped 4 replacement pieces and I needed 7) and those were damaged as well. The manufacturer (AFCO) does not adequately protect the delicate aluminum columns and the shipper, Estes-Express, mishandled the merchandise.
Column came in damaged, talked to customer service, they requested pictures which I sent and I have not received any communication since. This is holding up a job and I have a limited window to complete it
Shipping mistake led to delays wasted time. Extra cost to me which was not compensated or even offered. Columns arrived broken. Have to wait for re shipment.

I ordered the columns, my salesman, Sam Pease stated that I'd have them in 5 days, then it got held up with the shipping company Saia, when I talked to mgr at Pac Columns, basically stated nothing we can do, it wasn't our problem, well, not sure about the world you live in, but out here, people who don't keep their word and then don't take full responsibility instead of shoving the blame off on others, get dropped and not treated well. I spent $420 out of pocket waiting on these after being called and told of the delivery date, having my guys on standby and the product not showing up. I went to the Saia website and was told that the Shipping Mgr would call me, this hasn't happened.
Measurement of capital and base were actually smaller then quoted..so they don't fit around our existing columns.
Excellent customer service before and after sale. Column arrived in good condition and was easy to install
