The issue is not so much with the website, but with the service provided. I mailed an old cell phone for repair approximately 3 weeks ago, and have gotten no response from this firm.
Email inquiries to the site bounce back, and their phone number appears to be disconnected. Doesn't give one a lot of confidence that the company even exists. In any case, I was charged $5 for the shipment. Now I am out a cell phone, and have no way to contact them!
Sent my Blackberry to these people over a month ago. Have received no response as to whether my phone has been fixed or not, or where it is. Currently contacting their host to find out where they're located to get their local authorities involved. This is larceny.
I recently worked for out of warranty in new windsor ny. I advice you to STAY AWAY. They would order cheap, refurbished parts and charge customers over $100 for a part the is used and cost them only $5 to fix the issue. Workers were also forced to use parts that are not compatable to the device to fix the issue. "Just make it work" is what management always said.
The OOW team was able to diagnose and fix my older Android tablet. I'm very pleased with the service and the personal attention! Yes, it took a few weeks, but I'm happy that it was fixed by someone I can trust.
This is a scam. I sent my phone in on 10/22/2011, today is 11/7/2011, and all I heard from them was an automated shipping e-label and order confirmation email. I got no reply to my email to *******@outofwarranty.com. I just called the police department in New Windsor NY where the phone was shipped to and according to the police officer it's a residential area. He told me to report it to my local police, which I will do happily. The only good thing about my experience is that my phone was corroded and doesn't work. Nokia authorized repair shop sent it back unrepairable due to corrosion. The board would cost more than the phone itself. But these bastards at outofwarranty will probably pick pieces out of it to make a buck. I'll have to see if I know someone in New Windsor NY to go to that address and knock on the door.
What can I say... I had a broken iPhone screen and sent it in to them and was told it would take 1 week to repair. Within 2 days I got it back and I thought it came back return to sender because it came back so fast, but no, it was already fixed and for super cheap! WOW! I will definitely recommend all my friends to outofwarranty.com
I found the service great! Mail correspondence back and forth was excelent. I shipped my phone, it was delivered in 2 days on a friday and i had the phone back on tuesday. My blackberry was fixed and i am a happy girl. Totally recommend this site.
I hesitantly chose Out of Warranty, and should have followed my initial reaction that it was too good to be true. I send them my kindle and it came back in much worse shape than before. I tried again and they blamed the problem on me. They went ahead with charges and repairs before I gave the go ahead. They are shady and will rip you off. DO NOT USE OUT OF WARRANTY
Super fast, did what they said they were going to do, fixed my shattered iPad at a decent price. No complaints.
