“Sebastian Campo”

Sebastian C.
5/4/23

My name is Sebastian Campo and Max just helped me cancel a subscription. He was very well spoken and had great manners doing his best trying explain me different options during the process. He deserves a raise, not many customer service workers have his patience and understanding of their job. Once again, thank you Max and thank you guys for this amazing website to build my resume.

“Slow as treacle, devoid of functionality”

Marci W.

Everything here takes forever, be it opening an email or uploading a file. Reminds me of dial up modem days. It is that slow. Low quality spam filter. Can only block things by email address - no other options I've found. Few options to sort or filter anything. Wish I hadn't given it out as my email address.

I think the biggest issue with Outlook is that they try to roll a little bit too much into it. There's no particular reason why they should be trying to integrate elements of Skype into Outook other than the same company owns both products.

Of course, you might be inclined to make the argument that some people want these things, but I don't think there'd be too many people like that. Just about everyone who wants a Skype account already has a Skype account. Really the only reason they might be inclined to do this would be to compete with the gmail IM system--a service that I doubt many people use.

Honestly, if it weren't for this and the constant promotional offers, I'd probably think it'd be fine to use Outlook as your primary email address. Other than these two issues, an Outlook account functions well, and you don't get an excessive amount of spam.

Cons:

-It signs you out out of nowhere. When you sign in, sometimes it signs you out. It's weird.
-If there is an error in sending the email, you will not get a notification about it. So if you send someone an email they may not get it. Especially emails that have attachments.
-Emails that you have already read may still come up highlighted in blue as if you have not read them yet. For someone with OCD, this can be really annoying.
-If you use it as part of an organization (ie: college), then once you sign in on outlook. Office, you have to sign in on your organization's website too. So you're signing in twice just to check your email.

Pros:

I honestly can't think of any. It's just another faulty project by Microsoft.
