Big issues with the organically done company.
I have been trying to contact organically done off and on for several months. Since the fall of last year (2022) when the what was supposed to be greensand was applied. The person helping me isn't familiar with what greensand looks like but I explained how to apply it and trusted that the company had sent me greensand since the humic acid was what it was supposed to be. Long story short my help applied most of what should have been greensand when I came to check how it was going and noticed that the product not only was the wrong color it also contained sparkling flecks. I'm assuming it's some sort of rock dust? Or zeolite? Clay? But I truly have no idea! I have repeatedly reached out to the company. 1) I paid to receive 50 pounds of greensand I didn't get. 2) I have no idea as to what I put in my garden. It does matter for multiple reasons such as ph, texture/aeration etc. Some products are more for people with sandy soil, some more for people using various levels of clay. Obviously I needed them to send me what I ordered and tell me what the heck I put on my garden. I tried emailing/using the contact form on the website, I tried messaging through Facebook. If they have contact information listed I tried contacting them using it. I'm pretty sure they blocked me on Facebook!?!? (I can't locate any of my messages to orgnically done I sent in messenger) I was very nice in when I relayed to them the situation. I even contacted grow green mi to see if they had other contact info since they are affiliated with grow organic in some way. I see grow green mi always including organically done in they're events and they sell most of organically done products- even a few
Organically done products that the organically done website doesn't even offer. (Just to be clear I have never had any issue with grow green mi as of today and I have ordered several times from them but I do suspect a strong affiliation possibly sister companies?) never heard back from them regarding that inquiry.
I definitely think its possible that organically done could have recieved the wrong product from they're suppliers or an employee unfamiliar with products could have made an error. But they sure are not interested in fixing it. However now I have no clue what is in my garden and had to choose to only plant cover crops in it this year since I don't know what was applied. So I can try to figure out what it has done to my soil. My other problem with this company is not responding and not wanting to make it right. I even sent them photos of what was left in the bag when I stopped my help from applying any more of it! I did give 2 stars instead of 1 because I did recieve and the humic acid was fine. I sure hope they didn't try to substitute a cheaper product and pass it off as greensand thinking most people wouldn't notice. I'll be honest that thought has crossed my mind and would atleast potentially explain partially grow organics lack of response to me. Date of experience is approx because its been going on since end of summer/beginning of fall. I don't remember the exact date we began applying the unknown product that was supposed to be greensand. At this point I am highly skeptical of organically done products even being organic. You should be too.
Tip for consumers:
Bulk products come boxed in a very thin clear trash bag that cant be removed from the box without ripping the bag and wasting product.
