When calling, usually you are greeted with "I'm sorry, we are experiencing high call volumes"... Which should scare the hell out of you. If they are that busy with tech support, that leads the common sense individual into believing their product is sub-par... very sub-par. Customer service is terrible at best, and I was hung up on for no reason! I was being very cordial and honest. We purchased (2) Omtech pro units, and they are both faulty at random times throughout the day. The X and Y axis' will stop working for no reason, the limit switch on the doors will cause errors, so on and so forth. We are a manufacturing company that creates simple acrylic sheet labels. Nothing fancy. This machine cannot keep up with one of the simplest tasks possible. We have 12,000 worth of paperweights currently.
The machine arrived damaged, and the company has refused to provide a refund or replacement. This has been a terrible experience.
Customer service is a joke. They take weeks to respond and offer no real solutions.Customer service is a joke.Customer service is a joke.
My Omtech fiber cutter arrived defective, and the return process has been a nightmare. They keep asking for more documentation and photos, delaying the replacement. I've spent hours dealing with their support team, and I'm still without a working machine.
Omtech's customer service is nonexistent. I've sent multiple emails and called numerous times about a defective laser module, but I've yet to receive a proper response. The machine is gathering dust while I wait for them to address the issue.
Bluetooth connection is terrible. The machine keeps disconnecting, ruining my workflow.Bluetooth connection is terrible
The quality control is terrible. My machine had several defects straight out of the box.The quality control is terrible
The laser on my Omtech cutter is too weak to cut through most materials. Even after upgrading the settings, it still struggles. I regret this purchase.
I had high hopes when purchasing from OmTech Fiber Cutter, but the reality has been far from satisfying. The fiber cutter constantly malfunctions, and OmTech Fiber Cutter's team has no real technical knowledge to address the recurring issues. Investing in OmTech Fiber Cutter feels like a waste of money.
My overall experience with this company has been terrible. The machine stopped working within weeks, and technical support was clueless. It's clear this company prioritizes sales over customer satisfaction. Avoid this company if you value your investment.
This company sells machines they clearly don't understand. Every interaction with technical support shows a lack of product knowledge. My fiber cutter remains non-functional, and this company has offered no meaningful help.
After spending a significant amount of money on a fiber cutter, I expected better performance and support. Unfortunately, this company doesn't seem to care once the product is sold. Getting answers from this company's team feels impossible.
The welding machine from this company has serious safety flaws. Overheating and poor design make it a hazard to operate. Support from this company has been unhelpful, and my concerns remain unresolved. I wouldn't recommend purchasing from this company.
I regret purchasing machinery from this company. The fiber cutter keeps breaking down, and getting proper technical assistance from this company is nearly impossible. The staff lacks expertise, and every support call feels like a waste of time.
OmTech Fiber Cutter markets itself as a premium choice, but their products say otherwise. My fiber cutter broke down repeatedly, and support from OmTech Fiber Cutter has been slow and ineffective. If you're considering OmTech Fiber Cutter, think twice—it's not worth the frustration.
I bought an OMTech CO2 laser machine, and it's nothing but a pile of poorly built, unreliable garbage. The machine's mechanical structure is constantly falling apart, with parts breaking or malfunctioning after just a few uses. The whole product feels cheaply made – it's clear that OMTech is just reselling low-quality Chinese machines under a fake "American" brand name.
Their customer service is just as bad as their product. I tried reaching out after multiple breakdowns, but they were slow to respond and offered no real solutions. It's clear they don't care about their customers once they've made the sale.
If you're considering buying from OMTech, save yourself the hassle – you're better off getting a more reputable brand. These machines are just eBay-quality junk that'll leave you frustrated and out of pocket.
Upon receiving the OmtechLaser machine, I was saddened to find that the laser tube was damaged, so I asked them to send me a replacement, which they agreed to do, but waited weeks to receive the replacement part from OmtechLaser. This delay severely impacted my production schedule and caused me great inconvenience. Their lack of urgency in dealing with my request was unacceptable to me.
This laser company is a big no-no. They're complete liars! My business has taken a hit because my machine stopped working. I emailed them last week, and they claimed they'd give me a call, but I haven't heard a peep. It's so disappointing. Avoid this brand—it's a scam!
The machine arrived on time without damage and packed good. It is a China made laser to be clear. Set up was time consuming with aligning all 3 mirrors. There is a lot of manual knobs to use and adjust so on my 12x20" 50 watt unit it took several hours to get laser fine tuned. The engraving was not very crisp. Whether it was the lens or the laser power quality I'm not sure. Customer support couldn't help. I used poplar and the wood tended to burn and was inconsistent throughout.
The laser head has an air line attached that actually hits the right side of the machine so that limited the work area (image).
They advertise images and dpi claims (4500?!) that are misleading to this lasers actual raster capability. The best engraving results I was able to achieve was engraving speeds of only around 250-300mm/sec.
Laser engraving machines are indeed more expensive. Even for the same power laser engraving machine, the price difference before different brands is very big. Based on my budget, I ended up buying an OMTech 60w laser engraver(https://omtechlaser.com/products/60w-co2-laser-engraver-cutter-usb-6r57-us) for some small projects. Enough laser power to use, large working area, auto-focus.
