I ordered on their boxing day sale Dec 26 2018. They overcharged my credit card and my order still says "unfulfilled" and its February 3 2019. Emailed the 1st time about the overcharge and was told they would fix it. I've emailed 5+ times since and got no response. I put in a dispute with PayPal and hopefully I get my $111 back. Don't order anything from them or you'll just be wasting your money.
So for anyone even considering their annual subscription box DONT DO IT. Its been 2+ weeks since they were supposed to be shipped & nothing! And the next part is they just delete any negativity on social media 35 seconds after its posted and ignore you. Ridiculous customer service. If I could give it 0 stars I would
November 2017 was when we ordered my two items as of today's date September 2018 we have heard nothing from this company. I still haven't received the product I paid for and I have read a ton of reviews. Lots of people in the same boat. How companies get away with false advertising and keeping people's money for items they never sent is beyond me. Shady business I believe Karma will get them. They deserve a negative rating bad business practice
My husband ordered me two pieces for Christmas. A sweater and sweat shirt. I received the sweatshirt and never did get my sweater. My sweatshirt arrived in mid Jan... they shipped an item I did not order. When contacted they were useless. Who signs their emails with hugs and kisses. They are so unprofessional and such a rip off. My daughter ordered the same sweatshirt my husband did we are now in late Feb she never got her sweatshirt. She ordered her sweatshirt two weeks before he ordered mine. So not only do they not send in order of receiving the purchase they make terrible excuses and lie saying they shipped the items. She also ordered a bunch of items and they again said they shipped them and when she did get her November order in February its were missing again. Very poorly ran company and terrible customer service.
Month later and still waiting for my refund from an item I purchased back in May 2018. Been in contact numerous times with lame excuses coming from they're end to now no contact. Will be filing with pay pal. The last two hoodies I purchased with the May order came but the one lake life black sweater started to fall apart on the left front pocket after three days of wearing it.
Ordered from them on boxing day, and they were not presale items. Two months later after multiple emails and excuses I got half my order. One item was damaged and another the wrong size. It came with a sheet saying the rest would ship a month later. Fast forward two months later and I still don't have my order, and now she is ignoring my emails. She's all about making money and promoting this amazing business with all these new products. Yet she doesn't fulfil her orders she's been paid for. Buyer BEWARE!
I have previously bought a few items from obviously Chic at their pop up shows in the past and loved what I bought. I ordered 3 items of clothing in October 2018. It is now February 2019 and none of the clothing items have arrived yet. I have also attempted to contact the company on 3 different occasions to let them know and have not gotten one response yet. I am all for "shopping local" but I am so disappointed with this company.
Only company I've ordered from who take money for an item before it ships... which they don't even intend to do! Order back in December and funds were taken straight away. Made sure I didn't order any pre-order items because I wanted straight away. It's now February and my order is still 'being processed' and was told items hadn't arrived to them yet! They will not return emails now and I have put in a request with PayPal to receive my money. Very unprofessional way to handle customers and their money.
Aren't there any legal repercussions for this dodgy business?!

After 4 months, and s few emails I received one item and an excuse of being a special order and that my other item would be expected within 8 weeks.
Sent another few emails with NO response.
It is NINE months later and no last item I paid for and no correspondence.
Thought I was supporting local to a Kelowna based business...
As I always try to shop and support my fellow Canadians.
This company is the OPPOSITE of anything Canadian.

It pains me to see this company is still operating. I've had several horrible experiences and had to cut my losses. I wasn't interested in waiting for their horrible customer service to finally respond to my piles of emails into my lost' order and called my credit card company and they refunded the charge after I told them this company is a SCAM. The purpose of this review is to incourage all of you still waiting' on your orders or refunds to do the same.
Paid for 2 pre orders one in sept and one in oct. Only received a few items from each order. On the receipts was a hand written note "will ship on own" for the rest of the items. I have never received the rest of the items. Sent multiple emails, filed a complaint with the better business bureau to which they never responded. It is a total sham. Not sure how they haven't been arrested for fraud. I would never order ANYTHING from this fraudulent scam of a company again.
What the hell? I've ordered sweaters from their bogo event in August... it's October 5th and I still haven't received my sweaters. Went through the same thing with the blanket scarves, took over 6 weeks to get those... Why does shipping take so long? And you can't ask anything via social media as they delete it, I'm glad I found this so I could at least share my poor experience with everyone else. I won't order from them again and I am a regular on-line shopper!

Sometimes, our pre-orders get delayed, because of various factors out of our control or to be honest sometimes they are in our control (as a worker is sick and needs to spend time with her child or they have worked way too many hours this week). Don't get sucked in to their "sales" and adorable clothing. It takes months to ship, if it ever does and the quality is poor. Their marketing promises great things that they do not deliver on (still waiting for a Christmas themed sweater well after Christmas has passed). This company offers flaky unhelpful customer service and are not accountable. It is nearly impossible to get an honest answer or a refund. Save your money. Buying from them is like giving your money away.
I ordered from this company during their Cyber Monday BOGO sale. I received a code to access the sale a day early and made my purchase on the Sunday. In the Facebook Live video she indicated all items were IN STOCK and would ship out the NEXT BUSINESS DAY unless the item was marked PRE ORDER. I chose the fleece lined leggings and the boyfriend lounge pants. I was not going to order because my order did not include free shipping but decided to pay the $12 shipping charge because I was getting two pairs of pants for a reasonable price. I received an order summary right away confirming my order. I received a shipping confirmation four days later on November 30, which confirmed both of my items were on the way. Received another email that my items were out for delivery December 7, again showing both items. Received my order and only received the fleece lined leggings and the lounge pants were crossed off the packing slip, and indicated refunded no reason why. I was slightly annoyed and confused because all correspondence received indicated they had shipped both. I never received an email about a refund or anything (I did receive a refund though). Out of curiosity I went on the website and found the pants, in my size in stock and I could have ordered them (full price) -but I didnt (so it was not because they were out of stock). If I would have known I would have only received one pair I would not have paid $12 shipping to get them. It would have been nice to receive correspondence letting me know what was going on. I never sent an email as from what I have gathered from following the owner on Instagram is that they are human and it is what it is, they are not sorry, they are human and mistakes happen. I also dislike that they delete any negative feedback, so it appears everyone has great experiences. I read the reviews on this site before ordering but I also saw a local business rave about Obv Chic so took a chance. But after my order experience and following both the company and company owner on Instagram (since unfollowed), I will not order from this company again.
As far as a two star rating I had to give them more than a one star as the leggings I received were well made and very warm, I was happy with the quality. They also did refund me basically giving me half off the pair I did receive.
Ultimately, their lack of customer focus and lack of transparency are the reasons I personally will not order from this company again or subscribe to their subscription box. I do not feel my experience is a one off and that they try to filter these experiences out. Even if you do a search on Facebook of Obviously Chic it brings up public posts of people talking about similar experiences (not on the companys Facebook page though).
I do realize my experience is not horrible but the way they handled my order did not make me feel as though they valued my business. There was no apology or reason given with regards to my missing item.
I ordered Dec 7,2018. I still have not received my order or any contact. My messages on Facebook get deleted. I have escalated this thru PayPal resolution Center. PayPal gave the company 10 days to respond. She did not respond. It will be resolved in my favour with a refund thru PayPal. Hopefully enough people take up their orders with PayPal in the accepted timeframe.
Do not order from this company! How are they still even in business? Obviously Chic is a fraudulent company that just steals people's money and does not send out their orders. And good luck trying to get ahold of them. I've been waiting for my order since November and they kept having an excuse as to what the hold up was. If I could rate them a -10 I would.
Twice now this company has taken my money, attempted to delay me by claiming back orders/etc until my PayPal dispute window closed. The first time I lost out, then I was dumb enough to order again a year later (I know, stupid me) the second time I got a dispute started and escalated in time. Hopefully I get my money back this time.
Do NOT waste your time or money with this fraudulent business. I ordered a hoodie online on October 1,2018 and I have yet to receive my order! I emailed multiple times and they keep giving me the excuse that Canada Post is extremely behind in their delivery service, which is absolute bulls**t. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they closed the case when Obviously Chic failed to respond by the deadline. So they were essentially useless. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and currently have a tentative credit on my account for the charge.
I had to choose a star... they don't even deserve that still haven't received my order after weeks and weeks, emailing them with a generic response, no word on when I'll be getting my subscription box either... this company is constantly ripping people off!
I ordered in Oct and still nothing! They sent me a shipping tracking number at the end of Nov, but Canada Post has advised me they have not shipped anything. They initiate a shipping label with Canada Post so they get a tracking number but don't actually ship anything. This is fraud! They have not emailed me back regarding a refund yet. I'm going for to report them to the RCMP anti fraud online shopping department! How is she allowed to still operate? This is a horrible business and needs to be shut down!
They steal your money and don't ship the products. Stay away from this supposedly Canadian company, they have sources out their work overseas and it never arrives
Made in China. Does not fit true to size. Customer service representatives are quite rude. They delete anything they view as "negative" thus there is no way for the buyer to know about the poor quality

Ordered sweaters the buy one get one October 1st. November recieved an email saying i will get it within 1 to 11 day. Nothing! Contacted her numerous time and was told it would be shipped the same week. Here i am still waiting almost 4 months. And zero response back when i asked for a refund.
DO NOT ORDER! They steal your money! I ordered items in October 2018 that were never shipped... excuses and lies about delays and nothing ever shipped. They finally agreed to cancel my order (like it was a big deal and they were doing me some favour because it is against their policy to cancel orders) and refund my money... it's January 2019 and I still haven't got my money back. And again, more lies and excuses about why it is taking so long to process my refund! You can only email this company and she (Jess the owner) uses the same recycled excuses and lie responses over and over again... and don't dare try and contact her on the FB page or any other social media. All social media is highly monitored for negative comments or inquires which are immediately deleted and then you are blocked. She will gladly take your money, but don't expect to get or order or get your money back! She is a thief and fraud!
