This is a great platform for artist that want to provide a link for local/global fans. I can recall countless moments when I randomly met a soul and we connected, I would always send them this link to access my music. I haven't even purchased the premium. However, my music that I posted is still there and people still can go listen for free great promotional tool when you're on the rise like knee highs! My grind with this music has been a real one. As an artist I'm pretty sure I can leverage an audience with this platform. I remember when my homie first told me about it. I met him in real life and he used this platform. I think people are critical because they expect sites to do the work for them. You have to go out and touch somebody. My aim is to do just that with my artistry. So *******@Numberonemusic one day I'm going to do real business with you guys and I have faith that we can do great things. Peace&
This site is nonsense. The fan profiles are fake. The charts are fake. Some the artists on there aren't even real. It's probably the worst example of music promotion scam I've witnessed as artist. Thankfully I was warned off by others and never paid them any money. They still endlessly pester you for cash, send junk mail and refuse to remove your profile and data.
I received mails saying "i want to buy your music". I did not pay for anything, only use the free account and - wonder, oh, wonder - these emails stopped. I met other musicians and wrote reviews. Interesting to play with but not really a valuable promo site. Do not be impressed if you rank #1.
Is what it is. No such thing as a free lunch but plenty of free initial ego stroking. Don't expect to ever hear from that super fan again but enjoy it while you can. If you can be bothered there are some decent artists plying their trade on this site and some half decent tunes...
Notice that your name is never mentioned, or rarely mentioned in these bogus messages. They are all geared to get you to upgrade services. You do not need NumberOneMusic.com.
I posted 3 songs for free, more costs money.
I got very positive feedback from people who want to buy my music and they loved my music so much. I tell them they can listen much more of my music on soundcloud for free.
But they never come there. That made me realize these people can't be real.
Because if you really love my music and hear from you that tyou don't have to pay money to listen more you will be very interested.
So people, don't use this site.
All they are out to do is let you pay for more uploads and also for campaigns.
Number One Music is another music site for unsigned artist to post their work for promo and exposure to the masses. Only problem is the world and masses are robots! You get fake subscribers, fake comments, fake reviews. I do like messing with the support robot I've got him so F'd up he dosn't know what to say anymore, so for that reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 1. Fortunately I am in the top 20 in the world for psychedelic alternative rock but it's only a robot world.
So basically as far as I'm concerned, there are hundreds of sites for musicians to upload their music too, most of them want to get money off you, I don't pay for any of them because if I did I would be in serious debt, hang on that's not entirely true, I do pay Tunecore around $48 a year to distribute an album on iTunes Spotify etc, although I always make a loss but I keep paying as it helps my Google rankings. As soon as I uploaded 3 tunes on N1M I knew it was a scam as I was getting loads of feedback as to how good my songs were, it was so obvious fake messages asking how can we purchase your music or have you got any merch LoL, I always reply with a message saying that I can make a personalized signed cd but have never had a reply. However saying that when I check the chart position of my songs they do seem to be genuine, however all my songs on N1M music are bootleg remixes and I've just informed the copyright owner of my chart positions so hopefully Sony Music will have something to say about N1M. Zapp Royce.
It appears to be a pyramid scheme... the website is always asking you to log on an update by using actual currencies.
