“Unjust Overcharge and Poor Customer Service”

I recently experienced an unjust overcharge of an exorbitant sum for a one-year NORD VPN subscription, processed a staggering 15 days before the scheduled renewal. Despite my efforts to communicate my prior termination attempt, the customer service remained unresponsive and unwilling to engage in any meaningful discussion. This lack of consideration and refusal to address my concerns has left me highly disappointed. The experience raises serious questions about the company's customer service and transparency.

The server in which my dedicated ip is was down for more than 18 hours.
This ip is essential for my work.
Nobody informed me, live chat agents lied saying everything is fine and the problem is in my device while they know that that servers are down.
It took 6 hours(!) till customer care replied to me saying there is a problem and not helping with a solution.
Also they took no responsibility while saying this is the terms of conditions so my problem.
Horrible service.

Won't renew my subscription there!

Overall, content with Nord rather than satisfied. It does the job but isn't without quirks and issues. The main issues are the speed of some of the servers (but not all) and websites blocking nord servers. Overall though I have Nord for security and it certainly appears to do that well. The speed of some of the servers is lacking at times. There is also an issue with some of the servers being blocked by websites/services.

Hello David, indeed if you notice speed drop while connected to a specific server it often helps to switch to another one. Regarding some sites blocking VPN IPs, it isn't exclusive to NordVPN as it block access regardless of the vpn service used. Yesterday, after an update, ping times went from 20-40ms to 200+ or timed-out. Their solution: NONE!

Tip for consumers:
It is a leap of faith to pay in advance for a service.
They have a great product, but, when something goes wrong... hope that it SELF-FIXES or that you are an IT engineer to be able to fix yourself.
They will try to convince you that connection times and speed 10 TIMES SLOWER OVERNIGHT, are just OK.
It worked 13-14 months, after an update: It just was not working, and after two customer service reps, tried, then they gave up, and both tried to convince me that it was a "normal" thing.
