I started this app on a 14-day trial basis. When I started I weighed 265 lb this was September of 2021. I thought I never would lose weight and then I found this app this little program called noom It changed my life it changed how I saw myself it made me realize what I needed to do to get healthy it helped me to eat better to live better I'm healthier now at 54 then I was when I was 25 I've always been big but now I glad to say that I weigh 150 lb. Thank you cannot express how I feel about this program and about my counselor that I had how she helped me through and all the people in the group that they put me in how they help me. This app and this program changed my life for the better I have osteoarthritis and I have rickets. It helped with the pain I didn't lose all the pain that I thought I would because it is a chronic disease but I can manage it better now but I've lost the weight it's a lifestyle change and it's one that you can maintain it's one that I've learned to maintain easily I still log my food everyday and keep up with my calories and I maintain a healthy weight and I eat healthier and life is better thanks to this program. God bless each and everyone who come up with this idea because it really does help people it help me this is my story this is true.

The app is constantly malfunctioning. At one point it would not update steps. Now I have been unable to get on for days and customer service responses are all canned from a Bot which are not helpful. I will not renew this program
Tip for consumers:
Poorest customer service in the industry

I've tried multiple times and asked to speak to a manager and they request the card number that was stolen to verify IF they can use the account. Terrible company! If I could give it a zero I would.
Tip for consumers:
Use stolen credit card and won't close account.
I tried using that for non-standardized measurement units ( Cups, Teaspoons, Tablespoons, etc.) but that's all I found useful in this service.
Also, the "free trial" is actually a subscription that will renew after the trial ends. Would be highly appreciated if you mention that with a bit bigger letters during the purchase.
The website is actually nice and pretty user-friendly.
I started noom in November, 2022 and have loved it! I don't mind the overall price considering it includes an app where I am able to log my meals while the app calculates my calories for me, log my weight, learn new recipes, and best of all… learn so much about my eating habits and what I can do to work toward changing them for 8 months! The only piece I've had a bit of a difficult time with is the cost of the Behavior Coach. Unfortunately, the cost of the behavior coach is monthly and pricey but my Behavior Coach has been super motivating, and helps keep me on track with my individual goals. Therefore, I have decided it's worth the money in order to feel better about myself and work towards making healthier choices. Noom has helped me to lose weight and have more confidence in myself while other programs only ended up making me feel like a failure. Noom is based off research and everything is written by psychologists and it has never made me feel guilty for making choices that aren't as healthy, it just helps me to stay on track and remember that I am human and it's ok to have foods that aren't as healthy sometimes too. I have referred a number of friends and family to noom already!

If you sign up for a 10 month program and forget about using it and forget to cancel they will renew without giving you notice. Should you ask for a refund, they will refuse. I am out nearly $200 for a program I neither used or want.
Tried this for about a month, didn't work for me. Stopped using the app. Doing taxes and find a renewal charge on a credit card a year later. The representative could barely speak English, hard to understand, but wouldn't credit me. So called the credit card company. Be very wary.
I signed up for a Noom subscription and followed it to a "T" for 5 weeks. I made the decision to join after reading positive reviews on their site and fell prey to their empty promises of being able to help even those with issues such as age and menopause. I didn't lose any weight and started getting depressed. I reached out to Noom customer service and asked for a partial refund for the duration of my subscription. I got a 'canned' response stating their return policy. I asked to speak to a supervisor to reconsider my request and got another 'canned' response. I reached out one more time asking if the 'person' who replied to me was authorized to make decisions on refunds after their 14-day policy and yet again, did not receive an actual answer as to whether or not I was speaking to a supervisor and got the 'canned' response about how very sorry they were but could do nothing. Noom may work for some, but not for me. My recommendation is to review their policy very carefully before committing to a subscription.

I think overall Noom did some things well and some things didn't work for me.
I think the main thing Noom is good at is both incorporating compelling content into short snippets throughout the day, which included some helpful tips, at least one of which I am still doing (weighing myself every day). I thought the app was easy to use and very user friendly, and I suspect the accountability option - and having a human being check in on you (even if it felt a little automated) could be useful.
However, I didn't feel like it was actually the most helpful in action. Logging food felt pretty clunky compared to my past experience using MyFitnessPal.com, and it just didn't seem to be based around a lot of nutrition science in a way that I would like.
Tip for consumers:
Do the longest free trial you can find to see if it's worth it for you. You can also get a better deal when you cancel the trial usually.

The app works well enough for some people, but their billing is unscrupulous. Auto-renew for four months upon expiration of the initial subscription is built into the app. There are claims of a 7-day reminder in the app, but that needs to be configured by the consumer. If you miss setting that up, you'll be stuck paying for another four months whether you need it or not.
This company not only doesn't accept your cancellation within first 24 hours, they bill you without notice and then tell you that you had never cancelled and want to keep your money, $179 isn't petty cash anymore. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with and everyone in my shoes should bring up a class action against….also asking me for proof of purchase which is a joke when I've never passed the trial time…. Cancelled immediately after registration…

Noom move away from small groups and put everyone in an area called circles with almost zero guidance on how to navigate this area. This was after they had trimmed their coaching ranks to save money. I signed up for Noom the way it was and now I am not getting what I payed for. So much frustration with the app and customer service is an absolute joke with this company. They really do not care anything about you aside from your subscription fee. Look elsewhere for help changing your mindset about food.
Tip for consumers:
Definitely not worth the price they are asking.

The Noom app.
With no heads up whatsoever NOOM charged me a renewal fee of $150 I have not accessed Noom in over a year as I found zero value in it. I contacted their customer service and after a lengthy chat was basically told "haha too late, we have your money". I asked for any other contact information but just received an auto chat pointing me to their refund policy (which is NO REFUNDS EVER). They clearly scam people and their profits are based on charging credit cards of unsuspecting folks. Despicable!

I was a bit skeptical at first but hey why not. I wasted my money on Nutrisystem & GOLO and this plan is at least more reasonable then the last two I tried plus 2 weeks free how could I resist that. I sign up for two weeks. Found recording my food no problem I'm already used to that. I found out I was eating too many orange category foods. Next I went to my online grocery store and Google foods I loved. Most were yellow but not to many green. So I made a few adjustments bought less density foods and had to drop foods I was eating in the orange category and found alternatives like my yogurt for example was in the orange category but found a similar yogurt in a green category. It was the same brand but in green category when comparing it in the Noom app. Its great you compare your foods in the app with your shopping list before shopping so it makes shopping easier. Your not buying foods then getting home and seeing they are not in the category you expect. The two week free was enough for me to get used to the program so I didn't feel like I needed to continue on the paid program so I cancelled my subscription which by the way I had no problem doing. I have been on the program since June 25th and have lost 6 lbs so far which is good because my activity is minimal. I need knee surgery so I can't walk as well as normal people but I try as much as I can. So far I am happy with my results. Just stick with it and get used to the program and make the adjustments so you eat less dense (green) foods and minimal dense (yellow) foods and you will do just fine. I still eat olives and have my peanut butter & banana sandwiches (orange) category but not everyday of course. I eat more balanced now and enjoying the challenge.

I purcgased two weeks free for $10. I did not order anything the company needed to ship nor did I need a refund. Cancelation was easy. I decided to use the free app because I learned a lot in the two weeks and was used to recording my food intake
You better watch your subscription because Noom has a horrible policy. If you're in the initial phase, you can get a refund after 14 days. If you're like me and stopped using the program, forget to see the renewal email, and get get charged $180.83 for another 6 months, they're going to say tough luck. It's a terrible policy and I'm very unhappy.
It's a scam, you quickly lose interest but even after cancellation Noom will randomly charge you an annual fee. When and if you catch the fee their customer service will conveniently tell you refunds are against their policy and offer you a credit to one of their upcharge products. Ultimately you are stuck trying to dispute the charge and get the money they stole back. BUYER BEWARE!
Tip for consumers:
Cancelled subscription over 5 yrs ago and just got hit with another $129 annual renewal fee. Customer service was once again no help and just sends a canned script about how their policy is to not provide refunds. Avoid the frustration and avoid the Noom app

They charged my card $177 for a four month renewal with no notice and refused to refund it even though I contacted them the day the charge posted. Terrible service.
The auto renewed my plan and hadn't used in for 7 months!
They would not refund my money once I caught the credit card charge. Total rip off!
I would give this 0 stars if I could. This app was not helpful in the slightest. However, my biggest issue is with their deceptive advertising and how I was treated when I tried to cancel. I felt duped into buying the "subscription" which was going to last for four months. The app repeatedly hounds you to purchase a subscription and one wayward click and it's all over. When I tried to cancel after approximately three weeks, I was told I was only eligible for a refund if I cancelled within 14 days. I don't know how anyone trying a weight loss program would be able to decide if a weight loss app is helpful in less than two weeks. When I complained, I was essentially told "too bad" and that I'd be paying for the full 4 months, whether I used it or not. This was especially distressing given that my delay had to do with a death in the family. They did not care.
Tip for consumers:
Do not sign up for this or any associated subscription.

I did not set up auto renew. I only wanted to try noom for a few months. Some how my subscription renewed and noom took money out my account. The very next day I requested a refund and they will not give me one. They say they will cancel my subscription but I don't trust them.Im gonna change my bank card so they won't renew it again and charge me in February 2024. Be careful this company is Shady. I also just recently found out they just had a lawsuit for placing customers on auto pay and taking their money. Look it up online if you get a chance. They lost big money by unfair business practices.
Tip for consumers:
They will try to take your money do not subscribe too them. Don't give them any account information.

This is a app set up to help you plan meals and count calories. They will place you on auto renew and take your money. No refunds allowed.
Noom is hard sell - with pages and pages of add ons and you have to decline them all or you are irrevocably charged for them. I have cancelled with my credit card, and asked for a consumer action person to help. I do not recommend this program - solely for the HARD SELL, PHONY CHARGES, and difficulty in cancelling and getting a refund. THIS IS AWFUL>
Tip for consumers:
very hard sell with multiple add ons you never asked for

Check all the other reviews here. This company is run like a scam. They tell you you'll only pay for 6 months with the right to renew. I decided not to renew because A) the program doesn't work. B) it's expensive. C) the approach is corny and non-effective. So... Noom charges my account for another 6 months automatically, $168.54. I called immediately and the rep said too bad, no refund. I threatened a bad review and it didn't matter. After badgering them I received my refund.
Joined noom and was very enthusiastic, fell off the plan only to be contacted by a "noom bot" not very helpful at all. I was tiered of the plan after 3 months, requested a refund and was denied, customer service will not have anyone contact me, I still had no "real coach" and a "noom bot" telling me "great job coming back" don't waste your money get a trainer and a real person that cares. Other than purchasing the stock stay away...
