Its been pretty good using namecheap. The only downside is the fact that you can't get in touch w/someone on a support line, they only have a live online chat. Which they respond at a decent time but their knowledge is usually limited (at least w/the help I needed) and they send a whole bunch of links for you to research yourself instead of a walk through of your situation in one setting.
I've used multiple different registrar services before and by far Namecheap has been the worst. Their user interface is clunky and poorly organized, their features aren't as robust as other services, and their customer service is amongst the worst I've ever encountered. I promise for your own sanity you should spend a few extra dollars per month and use a more reputable service. The money I saved was absolutely NOT worth the hassle and experience.
domain rates are high as compare to godaddy and also there is no pakage or coupon code for a new person first time coming on ur site.
First time to site and navigating it was a little confusing on the purchasing of the hosting package.
I chose a hosting version, payed for it, done. But also why does the pro membership for like 56$ only have 2GB of ram… if someone is going to buy a server with unlimited storage and bandwidth over having a limited amount, it'd be the most logical to have at least 4GB of ram. Also please make your own file manager sine the cPanel file manager is just bad.
The process is okay, just had a hard time with the payment method since it is not accepting all my cards. Good thing I used PayPal. Thank you.
Installing an SSL is essential. Without it, your customers will get a warning message that your site may not be what it should be. If you buy an SSL from Godaddy, it will cost you $90 for self-installation and $150 for a turn-key complete install. If you are inclined to pay $9 and get a two year install from Namecheap, get ready for an hour or two of work. If you can make $75 an hour after tax, I strongly recommend you pay godaddy their $150. If you don't, and you can settle down and work with the chat box for an hour or two, the finished product is every bit as good as the $150 Godaddy SSL. Installing an SSL is like Geometry. If you start out without reading the instructions, you will screw up your deal and increase the pain. Read the directions, follow the instructions and get on the support chat when you get stuck. If you have a reasonable understanding of computers, you can get through this. William Piontek
Some of the "this package includes" descriptions are inconsistent from one page to the next. Still not all that sure if I added paid for features that should have been included.

Was pretty easy. But if you explained in detail a little better for people who don't know so much it would be great.
I'm an oldfag, I come back here because of your previous rep. It's been a while. If you don't live up to the rep that you use to have then I'll know it, and I'll move on. That's why I'm only buying domains from you for a year. For now. You guys are already pressing the whole "protect your private info" thing so...that's awesome. I signed up. I love it. That's the rep I expected. Keep it up.
Once I selected the domain names, the process was great. The information available on the site is fantastic overall, as well. The method of starting purchasing a domain felt unclear and odd; searching for a domain didn't feel quite right or connected to the buying process. Having wording that more firmly pointed towards search for the domain you wish to register as being the purchasing process would help solidify it - having the"find your dream domain" listed in the account page helped and is where I started the process from instead of the front page, feeling more secure after creating an account and logging in.
I don't like how you automatically default to add extra services when I didnt click them on. It feels like you are trying to trick me/ catch me out and has me wonder what else you are tricking me with. It just doesn't feel good to do business like that. Anyway, the price was good so I went ahead. but that is why I wouldnt recommend on. I don't do business with physical companies if their conduct doesn't ooze respect... so same applies.
It's easy, but I'm a little nervous and would like a "what's next" notification of some kind to assure me everything is in place.
confusing, SSL is included but the site gave me the option to pay extra, What's Stellar Upgrade, another £12 a year on top of what I'm paying but I have no clue what it is, you end up selecting options because you think you may regret not having them. Cheap and cheerful I suppose. Always been with Ionos 1&1 for 20 years before it was even called Ionos. So professional but I crashed an emergency vehicle (paramedic) into a tree, I have to find a new career and save my pennies now. This site is for an online business.
Some prices changed from pre-purchase to the purchasing process. For example, the.pw TLD was supposed to cost 8€ a year but in the shopping cart ended up costing 16€. Also, the Paypal checkout failed once.
Tried at first to pay with Paypal but was giving me an error about using only English letters in an address field that I could not see on the page.
Well, there are a few very good things here, that makes me give a high rate
1. I didn't see any hidden fee, everything is pretty clear
2. There's a free protection app which is a big plus too
3. I used a coupon for a 30% discount and end up with a very nice final price
Just one thing I didn't like was the very long process of the purchase, but maybe there can not be any shorter version of this process, so it's fine.
I would re-send the transfer of a domain message to customers so they don't miss it. But otherwise, a neat site! Can't wait to explore further.
Your checkout process is cumbersome, otherwise I would have given you guys a perfect 10 survey score. I had to initiate online chat with you after multiple attempts at entering and saving my CC info to complete the purchase (The default CC settings were repeatedly rejected due to error handling message on your site's part.). Your online chat operator was helpful and knew what to do and sent me a link instructing me to go back to user profile and add the CC card of choice, to fix the problem. And then to return to cart to checkout. So, you guys obviously know about this bug and have yet to resolve it. The payment process took so long that I almost gave up to go elsewhere to reserve these two domain names. I ultimately chose you because of online reviews, price, and the free "forever" protection of my online WHOIS identity to reduce possibility of spam, etc. It's 2020 and y'all are an IT based business, so y'all need to fix your checkout process. Respectfully, Troy
The website's tools are fantastic, featuring an intuitive interface that is easy to navigate. Additionally, it provides step-by-step instructions for users who may need guidance.
I had trouble paying with a credit card. I kept getting errors. It seemed to be a bug, It would say I haven't saved it for automatic purchases or something like that but I would click on the option to. It finally worked when I paid with paypal. And also I tried to add the item to my cart a few times and it didn't work at first.
First time through. I have 3 other domains to transfer.
Do I have free email forwarding for my www.borntobrew.com?
How can I set up the email for this domain?
I am just parking the domains there vs GoDaddy.
You NameCheap because of family recommendations and issues that have been coming up with GoDaddy support for email forwarding.
You assistance is greatly appreciated!!!!
The lack of phone support made things a little harder but your reply to my emails was always very quick and appreciated and helpful. I
my card was declined a few times although i keyed in the correct details. tried a couple times but it didnt go through, not sure why. however managed to do so with another card
Looked pretty nice. some offers seem very obvious, strategic and are very common business techniques which make it look a bit cheap i would try combining offers etc.
Most easiest way to register my domain name on Namecheap.com. Really it's easy and you guys have made it so simple!! Congratulations !!
