I have bought a boxset from MyCollects and although it goes against everything else on here except 1 person, I think theyre great! I purchased True Blood season 2. Obviously a bootleg but really well packaged and good quality. I just want to point out that if youre buying a dvd boxset at half the store price, before its even released for sale to the public AND coming from China... um DUR! Of course its a bootleg! You roll the dice, you take your chances!

They sell illegal bootleg copies of DVDs from China. I thought i was getting the studio released official DVD boxset. The DVDs aren't absolutely horrible but they are definitely not the quality that the site claims. It also took twice as long to get my DVDs as they said it would. They refused to give me a refund (of course) unless i mailed the items back to china and paid for the shipping. I don't trust them enough to do that. I'll cut my losses. Do not use this site mycollects.com.

I ordered the Tom & Jerry Complete series dvd boxset. It took forever to get to the Netherlands, and in the meantime I was only able to track down my parcel as far as the border of Hong Kong.
Then when I finally received my parcel, it turned out to be something completely different than what I ordered! It was a Tom & Jerry boxset allright, but it only contains twelve episodes. I already sent them an email with my malcontent, but I have very little faith in getting my money back.
NEVER USE THIS SITE!

I noticed the other reviews and had to say something. I had no problems at all with mycollects. Sure the DVDs are pirated, but I was very pleased. The quality was very good, and as far as I can tell, they're not pirated from TV. (I got the first four seasons of the new Doctor Who.) I will be ordering again from them.

They are horrible... there's only one way to get a hold of them and its through live chat and there customer service reps are horrible. Just beware after two whole months they finally told me they had the dvd's that they supposedly they had sent out. Turns out the company is in China anyways which is all the more reason to buy American.

I have had my funds taken from my account and received no confirmation that i will even get my ordered DVD's. I wish I had researched the site prior to ordering. I had a funny feeling when I did not get a confirmation email about my order directly after my purchase.

PLUS! They took a balance of $5 over the stated price. WTF!

This company is a fraud.

I tried to call their listed contact number which is no longer in service. (if it ever was) I tired live chat which was not available.

I recentley ordered the 24 seasons 1-7 thinking that i was getting the original released box set, as your probably aware from other comments from this site i didn't get that, i got 1 box with 24 printed on the side with the dvd's stacked inside in plastic envelopes.
I am positive the are pirated copies but it seems the chinese can do whatever they please because this site has been running for a very long time.
The dvd quality was ok though and as long as you aren't bothered about buying original dvd's then go ahead, but after reading other comments about the problems they've had getting there money back and getting rubbish quality dvd's i will not be using them again and i would recomend you don't either.

Fraudlulent company. Placed order with credit card on Sunday and was not able to access website on computer after that to cancel order. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE. I must wait until product arrives to determine next course of action. To file police report and credit card fraud or keep item and live and learn from mistake.

I placed an order, then cancelled it but they didn't respond to my email until 72 hours later by which point they had taken the money from my credit card. When i evetually managed to cancel the order they wanted me to open a paypal account to put the money on there instead of my card. I refused to which they asked me to keep the order as returning my payment to my credit card is complcated and would take 2 months - 2 months!
My credit card company has now gone into dispute with them in order to get the money back.
Do not buy from this site, complete con artists. Interesting to hear that they are bootleg copies from China.

First I was really about to buy from their site. Then the emails started coming.

The first good thing was that my bank would not allow my credit card to be charged bc this site was out of the country. Thank God! I still didn't know that they were a fraudulent company, so I emailed them again asking about sensing a money order or some other form if payment. Meanwhile they continued to send me many emails stating I had not payed for my item, as well as asking if I was still interested. This was a bit odd, but I thought they were concerned. Then they told me they would not take mo but would accept paypal. I looked on their site and could no find anything say they would. I sent them a message about this. They continued to send more emails about how I had not payed for it yet. I decided to reply to one telling them thy they said I could use paypal but I could not find the place to do it (this would be my second time to tell them that). I then received (hopefully) my last email from them. It stated of course they would accept it and that I should send them my information in the email. This really made me think twice, have you ever heard of any company doing paypal transactions over an email? No! What really tipped me off to them most likely being scam artists was the fact that in that same email all the conversation we had had for the paypal thing was on there. However the "to, from, cc ect." was also in Chinese. Then I looked at the previous email more closely. They had stated that they "were wondering if I was still interested", wondering was spelled WANDERING. I'm sorry but I really don't think they meant me wandering around aimlessly. Why would a good company misspell such an easy word? So my last step, which should have been my first, was to go to google and look up reviews. That is when I found this site, and I am so glad I did.

Do not use MyCollects! If I had I problably would have been a victim of identity theft!

We are among the many to complain about this site. I am trying to check on my order, and I see that the site has been seezed! I mean the BIG GUY"S sut the place down! Money gone, order gone,; - ( what do you do except just cut you r losses and move on. Sighned Pissed Off

I received a Lost DVD set from this site as a gift. If you're wondering why they are so cheap it is because the DVDs are pirated. At first we thought that these were just the release for Asian countries, no big deal. But when we opened the box we saw that the DVDs were packaged in very flimsy plastic sleeves. Some of the seasons have the English DVD Menu, and some have the Asian one.

We also got a duplicate of Season 3, Disc 2, yet no Disc 3.

Season 5 was the absolute biggest red flag for us. The episodes still have the ABC logo at the bottom of the screen, with each episode with a different logo depending on the ABC station it was recorded from. It was obviously recorded from a DVR. And to add insult to injury, the DVDs don't even play correctly. All the episodes play at once even if you don't select play all.

Stay away!

I am old enough and wise enough to know that if an offer looks too good to be true it is too good to be true. And still I placed an order on this website before reading the reviews. Doh! I had the presence of mind to immediately block the credit card I used (the card company were really helpful) - the transaction had not been processed before I phoned - thank goodness. And I changed the answer to the security question on the MyCollects website.
However, the LiveHelp button on their website does work - you need to wait for about 10 minutes - and they did accept a cancellation which duly appeared on the account.
Moral: ALWAYS look at the reviews BEFORE placing an order with small companies you haven't dealt with before.

I JUST RECEIVED A DVD SET FROM THIS SITE, I AM AFRAID TO OPEN IT, IT CAME FROM CHINA AND I DIDNT KNOW THAT UP FRONT, MY MAIL SHIPMENT PAPER SAYS $320.00, HAS THIS HAPPENED TO ANYONE AND HAS ANYONE BEEN CHARGED THIS MUCH MONEY FOR SHIPPING

This website is definitely dishonest. I bought the Monk 8 season boxed set which came out of China and season 8 was definitely copied from the ABC network as it shows right on the screen. Earlier seasons had the anti-piracy warnings both in English and Chinese and a third one that resembled Chinese. They guarantee 100% satisfaction but it must apply to them and not the customer. I have problems with them skipping on the last episode on each DVD. They said I must have a bad DVD player. I replaced my DVD player with a new Sony DVD player with the same results. Too bad they don't replace their DVD burners and spend less on making their boxes and labeling to look like the original. The set cost about $52 but shipping was $25. They say to send the product back and they will refund $52 but not the shipping. They think anyone is going to trust them enough to do this? Originally they sold on eBay but that was costing too much so now they sell direct to save the customer money. I would be willing to bet that eBay had so many complaints that they kicked them out. I wished I had looked for your sight sooner as I would not have purchased from this company. No one seems interested in pursuing this matter so I guess the FBI and copyright warnings can be safely ignored. How do we get these guys out of business?

THIS IS FRAUD DO NOT USE I recently ordered King of queens box set series 1-9 andBig love series 1-3. King of queens are copies, some of the discs are very dark and fuzzy and difficult to see, some of them do not play at all. With Big Love all but one of the discs have huge scratches on which means the picture is pixilated and most won't play at all and has no sound. I hav e tried to contact them about a refund but none of thier contacts are working ie) phone, e-mail. I have loked at my bank statement and they have taken more money than the order cost... This is robbery I am disgusted with what I have received and the fact they took more money from my account... I have contacted my bank to report them!
