Today, February 18,2025. I have been on the phone with Humana and motive care four times just today. This is usually every single day. I have missed 13 days of medication in a row. Regardless how many times we call them and tell them that I can't ride with this company for legal reasons or that company for legal reasons because of a situation that happened in the vehicle with a ride that motive care set up for me, they continuously continuously and continuously assign them to me or they will assign me a company that is temporary closed or they will assign me a company that has told them probably over 35 times now that they cannot accommodate my ride at that time. But there is a company that is 10 minutes from my house who also has a rider who goes to the exact same place that I go to for medication who lives about two or three blocks from my house, but they won't set me up with them again, even though I rode with them for a year and a half God forbid I make it to my appointment I drive almost 100 miles now to go to this appointment tomorrow will be 14 days if I miss tomorrow, I will have to ride every day there and back 238 miles there and 238 miles back so they took the Lyft for tomorrow's ride and put Uber, which I am not allowed to ride with either of them legally that's how dumb they are. They give me a company that's closed. I've had a seizure broke two teeth and cut my head. They don't care they think it's a game. It's a big joke. I wonder how many people they've killed by not taking them to their appointments and having them Mr. Medication I bet you several. I don't honestly know how that they can look at themselves in the mirror. I was told last night by one of their robots that the routing team isn't actually people it's a generated random computer I said really now we all know that's not true. We all know that it's their dumb $#*! people that they have working for them that does this they're so-called routing team that has no clue what they're doing. This is the worst company. I have no idea how they are even up and running this company needs to be shut down permanently. They are playing with peoples health with their lives and have no care in the world about it. I mean is this a way of just weeding people out because they work for the state, I can't help it to wonder. Or is it they're just packing money that's why they don't want to set up rides because we're taking the money for the rides and they can't have it for themselves and their pockets aren't getting full and they can't steal as much money I mean really what is it because why wouldn't you Set somebody up to go to the doctor? It makes no sense to me. I can only come to some conclusions that aren't so good. Well I have switched to Sunshine, but I have to wait until March 1. They no longer deal with motive care Sunshine smarten up and dropped them so anybody who is looking to stop dealing with this ridiculous company that should be closed down permanently. Should switch to Sunshine Health because they smarten up and draft them like they should be. Now I unfortunately have to call them back because I just got off the phone with somebody and I'm not sure what happened. I'm so sure it was a total accident, but I got hung up on. I'm sure it was an accident though cause they wouldn't do something like that not this legit company. The first cannot come soon enough. I cannot wait until I do not have to deal with this company any longer they are the absolute worst. They are trash, nothing but trash I really would love to know the number of how many people they have actually killed and I do use the word killed by not picking them up for their appointments and getting them their medication. I know I'm very sick right now. I've already had a seizure broken teeth so I've got a lawyer I'm suing them smarten up people and switch to Sunshine. They don't have anybody to set up rides for they will get shut down.
Wake up people switch over to Sunshine so we can get rid of motive care so they can stop playing with people’s lives
This is a company that supposed to set up transportation for people to get to their doctors that they failed to do repeatedly. They play with peoples health constantly and do not care if somebody gets sick without their medication or worse.
Prepped for a colonoscopy for a day which involves starving for over 24 hours and staying very close to the toilet. Humana uses Modivcare for medical transport. My wife has passed and I just retired in Henderson and only know my neighbors to say hello and goodbye. I needed this service to get me to the procedure and set an appointment by calling them and finally getting through the auto-bot system by yelling agent agent agent. Downloaded their app and found out they use Lyft. Not a dedicated medical transport. No more priority than if you need a ride home from a bar. Called and checked the app and also the Lyft app to make sure I was set. The pickup address was correct for my house in a gated community. The night prior to pick up I get a call from Lyft to verify and told them to make sure the driver goes to the front gate where there is a 24 hour guard and tell them Lyft and they will let them through as they are on my list of visitors acceptable. Now as I was up at 3am to drink the rest of the industrial colon blo I waited for the text from Lyft. At 7am I get the text driver is on the way and it lets you check the interactive map, shows 9 miles off, then 5 miles away then 2 miles away then 5 miles away and I called the provided Lyft drivers number and said what are you doing. He was given the wrong address by Lyft dispatch and was in a different community. I then told him both apps on my phone show my correct address for the scheduled pick up. He then put my address in and went to what I was afraid of the rear entrance to my community which is only for owners, no guard to let you in. I guided him to the main gate and by the grace of god he made it to my door. He tells me Lyft sent him from Harry Reid Airport clear across town for this job and if he had not wasted so much gas getting here (25 minute drive) he would have gave up and left me stranded. He also- snap shot the incorrect address Lyft gave him and showed me. I nearly blew the whole day and a half prepping for this needed procedure, had a positive Colorguard test, I was worried about colon cancer. I gave the driver and extra $10 for his gas. On the way home the girl also had the wrong return address, the same as the pickup driver had and I had to guide her to my door. Medical transportation needs to be handled by a dedicated service not just any Lyft or Uber. I reamed out Modivcare and Humana and may change my Medicare company at open enrollment. I nearly had a stroke worrying about getting the the procedure.
I have been dealing with ModivCare since they were Logisticare for gas reimbursements for a reoccurring trip and from the very start I have had to deal with numerous headaches due to careless actions. To begin with, the rep set me up with the wrong address and they kept sending my Comdata card to an address that doesn't exist - then I was told in order to get my priority mailing of a third card that I would need to have my ID with the incorrect address on it and my new address on my new ID. Of course, that is impossible and I corrected the rep the moment he read the wrong address back to me and I was assured it was fixed no less than 6 times that I called in.
If I don't call them, I don't get my reimbursements even though they are supposed to be completed within 10 days of faxing them in - and since I get a confirmation page when they receive my faxes they can no longer use their regular excuse that I used to get every time - that they never received my trip logs and I needed to resubmit them. They tried this excuse with me recently and I let the rep know that I had the confirmation and I was hung up on.
My issue with Modivcare today is that they are shorting everyone in West Virginia getting gas reimbursement. According to their contract and their own website - we are supposed to receive the same as government employee reimbursement of $.62/mile though it was set to increase to $.65/mile. But the state of West Virginia also has the rate of $.54/mile listed as well - but on all of my invoice receipts - where they literally mark them as paid out when they have not yet paid them at all. I generally receive my receipts a week before they actually make the deposit - but they are only paying $0.50/mile - and I realize that.04 is not a lot of money for each individual - but they are ripping off everyone and that adds up to a significant profit for ModivCare - I also get shorted on my payments regularly - the amount on their invoice that says paid doesn't match the actual deposit amounts and you have to keep very close track of every dollar or they will short you trips and never make it right with anyone.
I want to know how they are able to continue to not pay the money that the government is paying us - it isn't ModivCare's money until they claim they are paying people out as required but they are not actually providing that money to the people that ModivCare is failing miserably. With this company and the sheer quantity of complaints and many that have life threatening consequences how are they still getting millions and millions in contracts with many states - and they claim they have a low percentage of complaints simply because they report complaints as resolved even when their responses are regularly rejected by the client because they just recycle whatever excuse they think works the best.
Hello, I am writing about my personal experience with Modivcare from New Mexico as a patient who has had a failure to achieve any reimbursement for travel made on 1/10/2023. This company has a duty to reimburse patients which must travel long distances to receive care when a locally available doctor does not exist as is the case in many smaller towns. This company from the start was incapable at providing me the necessary forms/ trip travel logs with (weeks) of advanced notice of an upcoming Drs. Appt. This is because they had to "send them to me in mail" << what a joke it's 2023 and we all have computers and email, but not these guys because they only accept STONE-AGE FAXES or sent copys! The only reason for this is because they are intentionally trying to make the process as difficult as possible PERIOD. They eventually sent the forms I requested weeks prior which I received WEEKS AFTER THE APPT! Usually the people you reach by phone are pleasant enough but the results are 180 degrees from the conversation! Since I did NOT have the forms at the time of my appointment I had to now send those forms to the doctors office by mail. Weeks later they were signed off on and then placed in the mail to be sent back to me. Next the for Mileage reimbursement logs were sent to Modivcare, or as I like to call them MODIVCARELESS!
The address they were sent to was as follows on "their" forms. Modivcare Claims Dept 798 Park Ave. NW., 4th Floor Norton, VA *******. As weeks go by I received no paid claim. Again after multiple hours on the phone I reached someone who suggested the claim was not paid because it was missing a "Trip/Job#" I was like may I have that so I can re-submit the claim and the customer relations person gave it to me. YOU KNOW IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF YOU WOULD HAVE CONTACTED ME TO LET ME KNOW THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM IN PROCESSING MY REQUEST, BUT NO JUST DEAD SILENCE FROM MODIVCARELESS. Mind you this was the second time I sent the forms to Modivcareless before I received the needed information a CSR to resubmit the forms with the trip# a simple 6 digit # which they have BTW yet need you to ink it in form them after all their initial failures to correct their incompetence from the start.
So again the forms were sent, and still 9 MONTH'S LATER no reimbursement, So I contacted the STATE OF NEW MEXICO ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE AND FILED A WELL DESERVED COMPLAINT FOR FAILURE OF SERVICE UPON MODIVCARELESS. And since BCBS has stepped in to attempt to rectify the situation since they are the ones who CONTRACT this service through MODIVECARELESS. As of today I have still not been made whole. I WILL CONTINUE TO INFORM THE PUBLIC AT LARGE ABOUT THIS SMILE IN YOUR FACE AND DO NOTHING COMPANY FOR A TIME EQUIVALENT TO THE TIME FROM JANUARY 10TH OF 2023 UNTIL MY RE-IMBURSEMENT OR MY INVOLVEMENT OF MY ATTORNEY AS THE COSTS GO UP. Do yourself a favor and do not use this company for anything other than toilet paper, and if you are considering using this company as as a solution like BCBS put them to the test and see how well they keep their word before doing ANY BUSINESS with them. In my Experience they are "ABSOLUTE GARBAGE" as they smile and say they'll fix it to your face! NOPE, NATA, NO on MODIVCARELESS!
No one can write enough bad things about this company and its "service". It is absolutely absurd for Humana to hire Modivcare which contracts with Uber and Lyft for rides to medcal appointments for patients and then not require drivers to speak English or be bi-lingual. What if something happens on the way to the appointment or if there is just some problem that arises - there is no way for the rider to communicate with the driver. This seems, at least, like negligence and a lawsuit waiting to happen. It's bad enough that the drivers can't find my apartment half the time even though they are given the building and apartment numbers - or the Uber drivers who have CANCELED EVERY SINGLE RIDE that has been scheduled for me. I understand they probably do this because they can make more money on another ride - but for necessary medical appointments this is the worst possible system. People need to know they can get a ride to their scheduled appointments. Humana needs to rethink hiring Lyft and Uber - they didn't used to do this. Lyft and Uber have subsidiares which provide rides for medical appointments - it's a separate division of the companies. They need to be more responsible AND THINK THINGS THROUGH - they would realize providing drivers that cannot communicate with passengers/patients is one of the worst ideas, ever. I hope someone sues them - I will be first in line to testify against Lyft, Uber, Modivcare and (in my case) Humana. The irony is Modivcare offers three options when phoning the company - English, Spanish or Creole. Creole? WTH. They know this is an issue - or they wouldn't offer more than English as an option. Also, their computer-assisted phone system is a disaster - verification via text fails more than it succeeds and you have to reply to the same questions every freaking time you call. Their "app" is likewise a disaster - put it on my phone twice and was unable to set it up - it failed with a message of some system error on the part of Modivcare. All around a big failure. This just in: OK, this is a perfect example of the ineptitude of this system: Had a Lyft ride scheduled for 8:30 this morning. Driver arrived but never bothered to find my building - I called him 3x - calls went straight to voice mail. I then called Modivcare and they said they would send an Uber driver. I HATE Uber because the drivers never show up. And sure enough, today, after waiting for 35 minutes, I called Modivcare to check on the Uber driver because I knew s/he would never show up - and Modivcare said the ride showed it had been completed by Uber! I told the Modivcare employee on the phone that they should NEVER send Uber drivers because they NEVER show up. So now I am back to waiting for a Lyft ride. I was supposed to be at my appointment more than an hour ago. This is insane. Also, the voice recognition and text verification system fails more than it works and their Web site crashes every day during regular US business hours - although I suspect many of their customer service representatives work from Asia. The GPS system used by Modivcare/Lyft either sends drivers to the leasing office of my apartment complex or to a dumpster on the other side of the property. Hundreds of other companies have figured out how to give drivers accurate GPS locations to my apartment - but not Modivcare and Lyft. It's a Nightmare.

I had a an eye Dr's appt. Motvcare was set to pick me up. They Never came. I had to whinde up calling my own lyft to get home. I waited from 11:30am to 3:00pm. I kept calling them. They just kept telling me to wait 15mins. Wait 30mins then call us back if no one shows up. The girl I spoke to said they couldn't help me anymore. Not call anymore. I couldn't believe they would leave me stranded. And they didn't care. They didn't even try to do anything for me. Not even saying anything comforting. I had to call medical. Since they're the ones that set it up for me. It's just been a headache trying to get motvcare to take responsibility. Them & medical kept trying to send me to wellcare. Which is my insurance through Medicare. And they use access transportation. But they all have nothing to do with what happen. I've spoken to 2 supervisors. And countless number of people that answered their phones. Both supervisors said someone would call me back in 1 to 2 days. Of course no one called me back. So now today.another supervisor (# 3)told me no.it's wait time 30 days. Not 1 to 2 days.
This the worst company. I can't believe that medical would Keep using them. They're very irresponsible. Careless in action & in their words they use. What they tell senior citizens. I was.and still so upset about this. I'm waiting to get reimbursed. Hopefully. But it's not just that.it's the Principle of this whole matter. How. An this vendor stay in business. And that the government is actually paying this company. Paying them for senior citizens. Leaving them.literally stranded.
They arr the worst transportation company. Don't ever accept a setup transportation from them.
This is a type of business that deserve to be shutdown. I had a bad experience with them, this a company that transport patients under medicare plans and medicaid and call themselves making an easy life for those who can't do for themselves, their website sounds good but is nothing else than a lie. I was helping a family member who has a heart condition and he was told on a Friday to come in on a Monday as an urgent care, since Modivcare is the source of transportation for the patient who also has limited income, I called transportation on behalf of the Patient with the Patient on the line, he was so sick he couldn't hardly speak therefore I was his voice, because the transportation has a policy of scheduling three days prior to the appointment, this case was different being that it required for the patient to be at the cardiologist sooner then three days, when I explained to transportation they said they have to confirm with the doctors office that is an urgency in order to schedule the pick up date, once confirm, transportation set the appointment only to have the patient waiting for nearly two hours just to find out they cancel the trip without contacting the patient and left the patient no choice but to pay for an Uber, I tried to get a supervisor and there's is none according to the agents, I contacted United Healthcare who has a contract with this company and they also couldn't talk to a supervisor, there has been nothing anyone could do, after the patient appointment he was told he needed to come back, he scheduled with the same company this time three days prior to the appointment, on the date of the appointment the transportation canceled again for the second time, they said is no drivers available, once again the patient had to pay for an Uber to the point he didn't have money to buy food. United Healthcare dual plan is just as horrible being that is nothing they can't do to help. I think the owners of this transportation company need to be aware of how terrible his company is and he or they should be ashamed to run a business so terrible that it even puts people life's at risk. They need to be accountable is a disgrace the way they run things, they also have lots of complaints with the BBB is time to shut it down
The site isn’t what they say they are speaking from experience. If you use this company to take your love’s ones to doctors visit, I suggest you have a backup plan in case they cancel out the pick up date, perhaps get a plan that has better and reliable transportation.
