OK But Not My First Choice

Purchased from Missguided 2 times. First time was my first order and second time was the second chance I tried to give them. I'm convinced that not many of these 5 star reviews are actually legitimate as no one mentioned what product they bought or any details. But to get a better perspective, the quality of the clothing is very similar to NastyGal (as another reviewer mentioned). To be honest, the pictures depict the clothing looking pretty decent but upon receiving, they're super cheap and I was embarrassed to even wear them outside. I knew it was fast fashion, but this is where you get what you pay for.

Order 1: I purchased 3 Sean John collab items. I read the description and looked at the images. Says that the model name Carmen wears a size US 4 in the pics and yes, the joggers are oversized on her. I sized down to a US 2, and I'm not as slim as the model, yet the US 2 was HUGE. Bought the size US 4 Sean John collab crop tank and that was fine at least. Very disappointed as this company isn't in the US, so I paid $11 express shipping to get items to me that I'm not convinced are described or sized properly. Return shipping is costly and not even worth returning. It was kind of embarrassing because my boyfriend touched the embroidered work on the tank's band and he said the quality could've been better.

Order 2: This was the mistake where I tried to give Missguided a second chance thinking "well maybe only SOME of their products are cheaply made". So I bought 1 windbreaker style jacket and 2 blazers. This was where I noticed Missguided's sizing is larger than regular. I bought the jacket 2 sizes smaller and the blazers 1 size smaller. Blazers fit fine but the material was cheap and so hideous. The jacket was actually fine (lightweight and comfy) but the sleeves were so wide, they were monstrous. I paid $10 for shipping then I paid another $8.75 to return the entire order. Luckily, I paid with Paypal and Paypal covers return costs as long as you provide them proof that you paid to send items back.

While Missguided has pretty stylish products, it's not a risk I'm willing to take. The place is great for low-priced basics and trendy clothes, but not for me. The quality doesn't meet my expectations (which weren't even high to begin with), but I was able to buy blazers off a more expensive brand for about $20 more and the quality was much more impressive.

Shopping with Missguided is a NIGHTMARE. They are beyond untrustworthy. Shop at Lulus instead.

I've only placed 3 orders with them and I've had more issues than I can count- but I've listed the most notable below. Do NOT shop here if you're planning to buy more than a couple items or expect you might want to return something.
A. Missguided's business model is to always have sales in place that are 30% off or more on everything. The problem is that their discount codes don't properly apply to all the items in your bag. You can't tell which items the discount applied to because Missguided's website is archaic and doesn't display it. Therefore you have to work with customer service to figure it out and their staff is extremely careless and unreliable. Be prepared to chat them multiple times if you want to fix your order.
B. If you place a big order you're almost guaranteed to get at least one incorrect item. It's happened to me on all 3 orders I've placed with Missguided. Last time this happened to me they refused to pay for return shipping even though they sent me 2 wrong items. They didn't correct this after I chatted with their customer service agents multiple times, but finally did when I posted my experience on one of these websites.
C. Returns are a complete DISASTER. They seem to have no proper record keeping system and extremely careless staff. I wasn't refunded for 6 items that I returned on order #*******. First of all I don't even know how that happens (and neither do they), second, they make no effort to fix it. I had to micromanage the sh** out of them going back and forth on their chat for 2 days to finally sort out my refund. I told them the specific items that I kept multiple times and for some reason it was too hard for them to reconcile that list with the refund they gave me and make sure I was refunded for all the items I didn't keep. Instead of actually reading your request they just make a guess at what the change should be and then hope it's correct / that you give up because it's such a pain to fix. I've had to go back and forth with them so many times and I still have not received the correct refund.
D. Chat is your only option to talk with customer service. You cannot call them. This becomes super frustrating because each time you talk to them they say they have to "bring it up with their warehouse" and they ask you to wait 24-48 hours for the change to be applied. There's always a layer of separation between the person you're talking to and the person that is going to fix it so the customer service agent will give you no concrete answers about the change their going to make. When the "warehouse" finally makes the update it's almost always wrong. It's like Missguided is playing a game of telephone. Your request becomes completely construed by the time it makes it to the person who updates your order (whoever that is). Then you have to re-request they fix it, wait another 24-48 hours, and hope that the 5th time around they'll get your order correct. This process can easily can extend into a week.
E. In conclusion, their systems and staff are so bad that it honestly seems they are trying to steal from you. The fact that I've never been undercharged as a result of their system flaws further pushes me to the conclusion that they don't fix their archaic systems and careless staff because it results in more money for them. It's honestly appalling how bad they are - No legitimate business should have such low standards for how they operate. Go to Lulus instead. Lulus is amazing.

DO NOT BUY FROMTHIS SITE

This company simply needs to be PUT out of business. I made my online purchase on 8/17 with a guaranteed arrival date of 8/24 just in time for my vacation that started on 8/25- at least I thought based on their own guarantee. Mind you, it took 2 whole days for them to pick my items, pack and ship and when I saw the initial delay, I started a chat on the site and I was told I "should" have my package by 8/25. By 8/25 with no package, I track my shipment and see that my SHIPPING address has TWO, yes 2 States and 1 zip code. It read as Corona, California WA *******. So not only was it not on them, MissGuided's system added a whole other state to my address and this is when it got uncontrollably ridiculous. My package went from Europe to Los Angeles, CA to Bellingham, WA after they promised me the mistake made in their end was corrected. They sent me dead tracking #s every single day while I was on vacation. My package was inactive and unaccounted for, for days and this horrible company kept insisting it wasn't lost. For 2 weeks straight, I received 2 conflicting and contradicting emails from the customer service department every single day- telling me it's not lost and it's on the way and no refund will be issued to unfortuntely your parcel is indeed lost and a request for your refund has been put in place just to go back to, it's actually not lost. They've been telling me something different every 10 hours, none of them are on the same page- let alone the same book! USPS tells me the package was sent back with their courier WNDirect, WNDirect tells me the package was sent back to its original sender (MISSGUIDED), MissGuided tells me USPS has it and to contact them to arrange a redelivery. USPS has to open a case now for me. The company's Instagram dm'd me saying I'll get a 10% refund of my order as a gesture of apology but the email I received 30 minutes after that, promised me AGAIN a full refund and that I should have it today. This company is withholding our money and offering litle to 0 assistance and making it our responsibility to correct their mistakes. I encourage you all to join in our pursuit to open a class action lawsuit against this company as what they are doing is downright criminal! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD OR IDENTITY DOCUMENTS. THEY ARE A SCAM. (And look out for the fake reviews that don't match the real ones below!)

I ordered some clothes on 8 June 2016 at 3.48 am. At 3.49 am I received confirmation email. At 4 am I received an email titled "thank you for your missguided query". I had not made any query.

I did not read that email until my friend sent me an identical one which they sent to her.

It said: "Oh No! Your order has popped up as needing at bit more info, this could be due to a simple address error. To release this order, please can you reply to us at *******@missguided.co.uk with a copy of photo ID (ideally your driving licence or passport) and something to show us the billing address you entered when placing your order i. E. utility bill. (We cannot accept invoices) Once received we will get your order sent straight out, if we do not hear from you in the next 7 days we will cancel the order and sort out a full refund. Kind Regards, Missguided Customer Care team".

There is nothing wrong with either of our addresses, of course. That is a phishing email. DO NOT SEND YOUR PRIVATE DETAILS. THEY ARE USED FOR IDENTITY THEFT - TO OPEN CREDIT CARDS AND ACCESS YOURS.

On 9 June, my credit card was debited, AFTER THEY HAD TOLD ME THEY WERE NOT INTENDING TO SEND THE ITEMS THE PAYMENT WAS FOR. That is called fraud.

When I realised this, I looked online and read all the reviews from people who had never seen their purchases - and the raft of excuses such as import duties, extra delivery costs, ID, out of stock after Missguided had caused delays, etc... how many girls, that don't know even about sites like this, have just given up? They don't send what people have bought and it looks like the ID theft is also a ruse to put people off complaining about non-delivery.

No phone number. No chat. No response to emails. I am now going to get my bank to reverse the debit, cancel my credit card, and make sure they get PROSECUTED.

Update: They got back to me from one complaint website. Did they say, "sorry, there has been a mistake, we are sending your items right now", Or "sorry, we have returned your payment"? NO, they said if I don't want to send ID documents I can use paypal! (Yeah right, pay them TWICE since they already have my money?) Well, guys, Paypal is commonly used by scammers who don't send goods, because you can NEVER get your money back. DON'T do that either! This outfit is unbelievable.

Satisfied, first-time buyer, March 2016

I am a first-time customer from the US. To be honest, after all the negative reviews, I was VERY hesitant to buy. Most of the bad reviews claim one or two of the following: quality is bad, they send the wrong size, item, missing item, VERY late deliveries, and untrackable package.
However, after looking at their items online and what some Youtubers got, I decided to take a leap of faith. After all, none of them claimed it was SCAM. Moreover, out of all the affordable online stores I was browsing, I found theirs to match my style and they looked very cute, stylish and elegant for me.

I knew what I was getting into, so I honestly did not EXPECT much. I ordered 6 items (UK SIZE 2) which were all ON SALE, and I placed my order on March 16,2016. The total was 61.20 (I used the student discount code as well). I would have spent MORE, but my boyfriend advised me not to spend more than $100 JUST IN CASE. I paid via Paypal (I heard it is the SAFEST way to pay), and after not hearing from them for more than 24 hours, I got a little paranoid (lol) so I emailed them to inquire of my tracking and delivery details. I did NOT get a response; though I got an email the next day containing the tracking and delivery details.
Like most customers noted, when I clicked the link, it did not work, and the details were nowhere to be found. Yet, I decided to just think positive, be patient, and not sweat it, as it is something out of my control. I believe in karma anyway. So I kept trying the link within the next few days, and I was delighted when it worked.

My package finally arrived on March 24,2016, exactly 8 BUSINESS days after I ordered (which does NOT include WEEKENDS, fyi). I was quite pleased they were right on time. To my dismay, they gave my a UK SIZE 6, and I was puzzled, because I thought, had the sizes been converted without my knowledge? Then, I tried them all, and they ALL fit me to a tee. They look EXACTLY like the photo, and I was very puzzled, in a good way.

I am a VERY satisfied customer, however the SIZE part still confuses me. I hope the team can explain that to me one day. Lol. In the mean time, I will enjoy wearing what I ordered. I feel sorry for what other customers have experienced but I guess they are trying to improving their service now. I HOPE they are, if their service was truly unsatisfactory in the past. (Remember, no matter how good the food is, if the service sucks, nobody would want to come back to your restaurant)!

My advice to those who are contemplating on whether to buy or not buy from MISSGUIDED, I say do your own research.
If you are TRULY petrified after reading the bad reviews but REALLY wants to buy their stuff, I suggest just buy one or two items (up to you) to try their product, just spend an amount you WON'T regret!

DO NOT ORDER FROM MISSGUIDED!

So I was a very big fan of misguided until the last couple of months which now I never order from them again! From their customer service to simple delivery times, they are completely unprofessional and have (excuse my language) f*cked up every single time! My past 5 orders have had some kind of "error" or "mistake" happen which I don't see as a coincidence and will shed some light on in this review.

Firstly, the "order before 9pm to get next day delivery". If missguided mean "next day" as in 3 or 4 days later then I believe that is not quite next day. Every single one of my last 5 orders has been days late! Even though I have selected next day delivery. Seems like a small issue but is very infuriating when you combine this with more "mistakes".

Secondly, the return charges have always gone through wrong. I sent back an item through doddle, but will get charged for the royal mail postage. A very small thing but also very annoying.

Now to THE BIGGER ISSUES, I made a very large order from missguided only to notice that one item that I wanted, ordered and paid for was not sent to me. I contacted missguided about this and they were very unresponsive. Not only did I have to send them 4 emails, but I got one response asking for my details and no reply on how my issue would be sorted. I then had to bombard them with more emails to get a simple reply. They did not even have the courtesy to inform me that I would not be receiving this item or even send me an email to refund me the money!

I was then passed about between 3 "customer care advisors" before a "customer care advisor" then responded to me, with a coupon code for 20% off, even though I was getting 30% for the item at the time, a refund of my item & the refund for incorrect charge for the postage. Also, she told me that when the item is back in stock, I can then place a new order for it. A hassle, but I took it as I couldn't be bothered arguing with them anymore. However, no word on why the "next day delivery" was not so next day. Another thing, being described as customer "care" advisors is very misleading as missguided do not care about their customers at all.

You would think this would be the end of the problems, however it was not! I then found the item back in stock, went to use this 20% discount code that I was given and is says "code is no valid".

More infuriated than ever, I just used my student discount of 10% ordered the item and had it sent to me. I emailed missguided telling them about this and they sent me another 20% code and refunded my the 10%.

Not such a bad outcome right? WRONG! Today I opened up my parcel from them to find that I was sent a completely wrong item!

Of course, I will have to go through the hassle of emailing them again and trying to sort it out with a bleak hope of any kind of "good" result. They have no phone number so I am just going to have to waste more of time in my very busy life sorting out un-needed hassle because missguided do not know how to run as a company.

Moral of the story is, DO NOT ORDER FROM MISSGUIDED unless you want a hassle, $#*! service and not so great clothes. Choose a company like ASOS or Pretty Little Thing. They are much more affordable and have much better service! Trust me, I have ordered from this $#*!ty company 5 times with something going wrong each time! DO NOT SHOP AT MISSGUIDED!
