I have been calling both Warmlines and hotlines to help with my PTSD. The HONU and KEYA warmline is the only warmline I have known that swears at you, talks in an abrasive tone, and gets distracted. It is ironic how one of the peers lecturing me "to give him a chance" is a registered sex offender. He said I hurt his feelings for not wanting to talk to him. Warmline peers shouldn't be relying on callers to meet their emotional needs. Tell your staff to not take what callers say or do personally.

No other warmline or hotline that I call does things like this. When I found out that some of the peers are ex-convicts, I thought "no wonder some of them don't know how to talk professionally."

If you're looking for warmth and trauma-informed care---try another warmline. Unless you want to be talked too in a disrespectful way.As a young woman--I am disturbed by another baby boomer peer on Honu/Keya swearing and yelling at me.
