Merrimade

Would never recommend this company. Ordered 20 sets of stationery as team gifts with 4 weeks lead time. Called 3 weeks in when they had not arrived and was told their embossing machine was down indefinitely and the items would not be shipped, ever. Was told 4 of them were ready and would be shipped however those 4 never appeared.

I've been a customer of Merrimade stationery for many years but will find another source for my correspondence in the future. My first hint was when options for monograms and symbols dwindled or disappeared, making it hard to replace my own note cards. More seriously, I recently ordered a house stationery set as a hostess gift that had not arrived after almost four weeks. Customer Service blamed slow shipping without noting the two and a half weeks between my order and their shipment. Whether the problem is outsourced production or new, slower shipping contracts, I don't recommend Merrimade!

Company catalog shows 50 cards for $75 on page 12 (or 100 for $135). The extra charge to have lined envelopes is listed on page 17 - charge is "$32 per box". I wanted the box of 50. Selecting that SKU online (#5300) only brings up 25 cards/envelopes for $68.00. Total cost online for 50 cards would be $200! NOT the $107.00 the catalog describes. Despite the "Prices, terms and conditions guaranteed through June 30,2017" line they print on page 17 of the catalog, they will not sell the stationary for the prices they list. Perhaps fraud is too strong, but false advertising seems too weak. I do not recommend this company.
