“Defective product, customer service is poor.”

I recently bought the Merkury Innovations Whirlwind Personal Cooling Fan, however after I used up the battery and I plugged it in to charge, the charger cord began to heat up excessively. Additionally, the red light that indicated successful charging didn't turn on when I plugged it in. I reached out to customer service, and it has been several days since I contacted them asking for a replacement with no confirmation.

Tip for consumers:
I will edit this review if Merkury Innovations confirms that they will send me a replacement product.
