I should not have even visited the site with that pearl of wisdom (you can find so much worthless information on the internet). My late Mom had trouble with wheat all her life (It seemed like her whole life to me.). I suffered from it for 30 years. It wasn't until my fourth colonoscopy six years ago (everything good) ago that I decided something had to be done. I had a comprehensive celiac evaluation eleven years ago (negative). By that time my guts were so tender I couldn't even cross my arms across my chest. I finally found an individual on the internet who seemed to have the answer: eliminate caffeine (already had), alcohol (already had), chocolate (please, not that!), carbonated beverages (already had), (might have recommended quitting) artificial sweeteners (already had), and wheat. What? Darn! I always blamed the cheese (lactose intolerance) and tomato (too acidic) when pizza sent me to the toilet the same night (I love pizza, especially the tough crust; I'd eat what my wife left). OK, stop eating wheat & chocolate. What the heck! Doctors recommend three weeks without wheat; I went three days and my tender belly was gone. I know this is anecdotal evidence. I know the fact that our daughter has stopped eating wheat and has felt better than she has in years is also anecdotal. And I know some people may not need a gluten free diet; but going from four loose bowel movements daily to one, and not having 'irritating' foods that sent me to the toilet in a few hours but needing to wait 36 hours to see if I could tolerate a little bit of wheat containing food is hard to imagine or fake. medicinenet.com is faking it too in my opinion.
Very generic not specific enough. After going through the questionnaire I was given over 20 possible problems I may have. Not impressed, and a waste of my time. I could have come up with the same list myself.
I was reasearching bladder cancer. A lot of their information was very good, but when I clicked on their medication link, I got a message that said my browser was out of date ( which it is not!). It then started running a buch of gibberish across the screen and said scanning! I clicked out of their site and closed my browser. They are apparently seriously infected with spyware or malware!
