My first impression of MapYourVote was very positive. It immediately caught my eye as an interesting idea for a website. Essentially MapYourVote is a polling website that allows you to ask questions and let people respond. As people do, those responses are plotted geographically on a google map. Regions on the map are colored based on how the majority is voting in that region. You are also able to zoom in to a given region, as far as the county level in the United States, and the State level in Canada and Mexico. All other countries don't allow zooming but they are plotted. I imagine they will try to expand this functionality for other countries. The site is apparently in beta but it works very well. I didn't have any trouble signing up or voting. I'm a sutdent and can imagine using MapYourVote for research, but I also had a fun time just looking through polls. It was kind of addicting in fact.
